Yukino Fuyumi vs. Carolina Reine Youngren - Apex Qualifier Match

Yukino's wild kick back at Carolina landed on Carolina's shin, causing her to grunt in temporary discomfort, but not much more than that. As for what Carolina was planning to do, she intended on paying Yukino back for the times she sent her hard to the canvas. Isljoninna would reach down and around yukino's torso first to lift her upright, then she would attempt to execute a

German Suplex!

Carolina would specifically aim to slam the back of Yukino's head to the bottom turnbuckle on her way down to the ground, in an effort to daze in preparation for a vicious move the Lioness of the north wanted to give Yukino's friend Nashi a close up view of.

Carolina had Yukino by the leg, and she was reeling her in closer and closer - closer to what the idol already knew was going to hit hard hard. She clenched her teeth, her body tensing with anxious anticipation of what would happen next. If she had any chance to fight it, then she was going to fight it as hard as she could! Growling under her breath, she attempted to swing a kick behind her - but it barely did anything to slow Carolina down! All Yukino could do was gasp as she found Carolina's arms moving down to loop around her waist - and then, she was lifted off the mat, thrown back in an arc to slam her head-first into the canvas!

Yukino barely even had enough time to scream as she was being hurled through the air. Her arms and legs stretched out to grab onto something, but she couldn't make it there before the back of her skull met the turnbuckle with a loud thunk. For a second, her head erupted in pain, a shudder running through her whole body, before everything went numb. She let out a long, low moan as she began to sink into the canvas in a daze.

Carolina sat up to look back at the dazed Yukino, before turning in Nashi's direction with a malicious smirk on her face. But apart from that, The Northern lioness wasted no time rolling Yukino onto her stomach with her head facing the side of the ring where Nashi stood. She'd have to quick, not only she didn't want Yukino to gahter her bearings before she could stop her, she also wanted to avoid giving Nashi the chance to do anything to interrupted her. Regardless of the outcome of the match, Carolina wanted the judges to know lengths she'd go to hurt her opponents, along with her extensive ability to do so.

Carolina would grad her opponents arms as she slide out of the ring to the side where Nashi stood. With Yukino's head dangling past the ring apron, Isljoninna quickly attempt to drap Yukino's arm over her own neck, while wrapping her own left arm around the woman's neck. Carolina would proceed to take a few quick steps back to drag Yukino's torso completely off the ring apron and in one swift motion, the Ice Lioness would attempt to perform her signature

Hanging Ice Whip!

If Yukino thought things were bad enough, they were only going to get worse from here. She had been left dazed from the impact she'd taken, and the world around her still felt like it was spinning too quickly for her to keep track of. When Carolina dragged her halfway underneath the ropes, all the white-haired girl could do was to dangle there limply, staring off into space; her body sank lower into the canvas as though she'd already been knocked unconscious. Slowly but surely, though, some life began to return to her. She blinked her eyes a few times as she got her bearings, starting to see past even the throbbing in her head. She could see just far enough to meet eyes with Nashi - Carolina had positioned her just close enough to her corner for Yukino to see that her friend would have front-row seats to what was about to happen to her. And when that happened...she was sure it wouldn't be good. There was never anything good that came from someone positioning her just right for her friend to witness her downfall.

Yukino sucked in a breath, already clenching her teeth. She started to look away, afraid to let Nashi see her take such a devastating move - but it was too late. Just then, Carolina whipped her off the apron, slamming her into the thinly-padded mats below! It happened so quickly, Yukino barely had enough time to scream. Her voice cut through the air as she cried out in terror, but mere seconds later she came crashing down flat against the floor, landing with a loud thump! There, she began to sink into the mats, as the referee began the count with both competitors outside the ring.

"One! Two!"

Nashi had been watching the match and cheered for everytime Yukino got the upper hand. It also came with the side effect of of wincing and shutting her eyes whenever Yukino was hit badly. Through it all she still felt Yukino was doing good against the ice lionesses. That soon came to a halt as Carolina came out to taunt her by looking in her direction and hitting Yukino in a painful move!

“YUKINO NOOO” she shouted out as she wanted to go and help her up, but the ref would disqualify Yukino…. Nashi stood there and said”Fight through it Yukino! You can win this!” she bented forward with her shoulder bent trying to cheer her friend on!

Carolina hit the padded concrete with considerable force herself when she performed her signature on Yukino, but any discomfort she felt was more than made up for hurried scream she heard on the way down, along with pain she had certainly caused her foe upon impact with the concrete. But Isljoninna had something more in store for Yukino.

Three! Four! Five! Six!

Carolina made her way to the woman and attempted to drag her to her feet, before tucking her body against hers and attempting to lift her up for a

Powerbomb against the ring apron!

If successful, Carolina would turn to the crowd, proud of her work, before quickly sliding into the ring to reset the count out, but stepping back outside to stand on the ring apron, waiting to see how long it'd take for her opponent to get back to her feet, if she could at all.

Yukino rubbed at her head as she rolled up on her side, outside the ring. She winced, her head still throbbing from the landing she'd taken; when she looked out at the fans cheering for her and urging her to get back up, it was through a blur. She tried to push herself up, groaning under her breath as she worked her weary muscles as much as she could. But the clock was ticking - and Carolina wasn't done with her! If things weren't bad enough for the white-haired girl, her opponent would soon strike - lifting her for a powerbomb, and dropping her directly against the hardest part of the ring!

As soon as her back struck the apron, Yukino let out a scream. Her spine buckled inward, and she grabbed at her back to try and dull the pain. But when she sank down against the side of the ring, she was in a daze. Her head hung low, and she took slow and labored breaths; her jaw hung slack, and she was swimming in and out of consciousness. With Carolina back in the ring, the referee restarted the count...but Yukino didn't seem any closer to getting back up. In fact, she barely moved at all.

"One! Two! Three! Four!"

But Yukino did hear one thing - she heard Nashi's voice calling out to her, urging her to fight on! She shook her head, groaning as she did; even moving too much reminded her of how sore she was from head to toe. "N-Nashi..?" she said, focusing her eyes in on her friend even when everything seemed to be spinning too fast for her to concentrate.

"Five! Six! Seven! Eight!"

But then, it all hit her. She knew what she needed to do - and when that realization came to her, Yukino sat up a little straigher. Suddenly, she was grasped by a sense of purpose. No matter how much it hurt...she needed to get back in the ring. She needed to show Nashi she couldn't let this keep her down! She needed to prove she could do this!

"Nine! T-NO!!"

Just then, Yukino's arm shot up at her side! Finding strength she didn't even know she had, she took hold of the bottom rope - and then she pulled herself up, slipping in underneath!

The scream Yukino made when she hit the ring apron was exactly what Carolina was looking for. Indicative of the terrible damage she had done to Yukino's back, after already having whipped her to the thinly padded concrete. Carolina was sure that she'd be done for. All she had to do was climb back into the ring and wait for the countout.

But while Carolina stepped back into the ring, she quickly stepping back out to the apron. She'd give Yukino a chance, if she was both durable and dumb enough, to climb back into the ring if she could. As the referee counted up and Yukino was still more or less unmoving, Carolina turned to Nashi, who was nearby.

"You think I might have broken something? That'd be really unfortunate, you know. For her." Carolina said with mocking smile.

As the count reached closer to 10 and Yukino began to stir, Carolina considered climbing down and flinging Yukino into the ring herself. But she found herself intrigued enough by Yukino's refusal to give up that she decided to let her climb back into the ring herself if she could, confident that finishing her off would be easy.

So when Yukino finally managed to climb into the ring, Carolina would grab to ring ropes, jump onto the middle rope, then use it as a spring to jump and attempt a double stomp onto Yukino's upper body!

Yukino's whole back was aching enough to render her entire body numb, and whenever she so much as moved an inch all the pins and needles flared up again. She gasped for breath with each inch she moved, her eyes squeezing shut and forming tears. But even still, Yukino knew she couldn't give up now. Nashi was watching. Nashi was counting on her! She wasn't just doing this for herself, she was doing this for her best friend, too! After all they'd been through, the last thing she could allow was for Nashi to see her lose! No matter how much it hurt, she'd do it for her!

Even if Yukino couldn't get to her feet, she still rolled over on her back, locking a glare back at her opponent as she raised her head from the mat. But a moment later, that glare turned to a wide-eyed gape. Carolina had climbed up onto the ropes, hoisting herself higher. They stretched under her weight as she prepared to take off, and moments later she catapulted herself higher into the air! Yukino knew instantly what this meant. In mere seconds, Carolina's full weight was going to come down on her chest, no doubt crushing her in the process. She was already hurting, but she was still struggling as hard as she could to hold on. If that happened, though, it would be all over...

No! Yukino shook herself, clenching her teeth. She couldn't let it end like this! She couldn't let her first Apex qualifier end with her being pulverized in front of her childhood friend! Even if it hurt her...she had to fight back somehow!

She winced and hissed under her breath as she tried to push herself up from the mat, groaning from the pressure of each inch she moved - but right before Carolina would hit her, Yukino pushed up off the canvas on the palms of her hands, swinging her legs in an arc. If all worked according to plan, Carolina would be delivering herself straight into a double-footed kick!

Already by the time she was grabbing onto the ropes of the ring to assist in her jump, Carolina was eagerly anticipating one more exasperated cry of pain from Yukino from this last big stomp, leaving her opponent with nothing left to resist her victory. Instead, Yukino managed to make a desperate but effective move before the Ice Lioness could land. Yukino would move out of the way and land a harsh double footed kick to Carolina's abdomen. She grunted, from the impact but, the blow its self took the wind out of her enough to prevent her from exclaiming much more, though she certainly would have.

To make matters much worse, the kick managed to fold Carolina just enough that she'd tumble backwards through the ropes, land back first against the edge of the ring apron and slide head first to the padded concrete outside of the ring. From there she'd flop to the ground, screaming in pain, grabbing her head with one hand and her back with the other. After the abuse she had targeted at her Yukino's torso, head and neck, she experienced much of the hurt she had been laying onto Yukino, all at once.

The count out went, with Carolina still writhing on the ground, nothing felt broken, at least, but that wasn't much comfort.
