Mask De Smith vs Pink Phoenix - Flame of Destiny

Mask was struggling here, but he was still far from done. The heroic spirit that he embodied as one of the seven was still evident from the way he twitched his fingers was still clearly apparent, if anything he was known for making a comeback for the people that watched him. Granted he was without many of his followers and the lack of his fellow smiths also hurt there, yet the luchador wouldn't be dissuaded here. In fact it seemed his eyes had a plan in mind for his opponent.

The Smith let Phoenix prop him up there, it seemed as if he wasn't offering much in the way of resistance here. Then when Pink Phoenix sent him to the corner for an Irish Whip that was when it seemed like Mask was getting some wherewithal once again, because when Pink Phoenix went for her dropkick Mask would manage to get his arms up in time to take the hit! He grunted at the blow as it left visible bruises on them, yet it would surely render his opponent on the ground at least. Which could allow him time to counterattack! The luchador would size Phoenix up and go for the shot, attempting to rush forward and deliver a leaping double foot stomp right on the pinkette's chest as he jumped right at her!

She ran towards him and jumped to connect the dropkick, which got successful to send him against the corner, but she couldn't see that he protected himself with his arms. She leaned on the mat after the dropkick, which made her vulnerable against the double stomp on her chest, the pinkette gets hit by that counterattack and groans softly while holding her chest.

The pinkette luchadora didn't expect his counterattack but there she was, leaning in the mat while looking at the nearest ropes to crawl at them to use as a support and get up, still hurt in the chest but not done yet.

Mask would admit he was grateful for those scraps that he had with Dan and Coyote in the past, it helped toughen up the 1 of the 7 for the many rigours of the ring at least in helping with the rough and tumble scrapping that could occur. The luchador had managed to strike lucky there at least in this frantic to and fro engagement that only two luchadors of the ring could truly perform for the people, it was destiny that had decreed this bout would take place Mask would reason.

The Smith would roll forward after he had stomped down on Phoenix, the luchador would take a moment to try and catch his breath there because Phoenix was working him over in more ways than one there. Mask would sigh a bit there as he tried to catch his breath, but it wouldn't be for long. The length of the match was making him feel sore all over and he knew it'd be getting closer and closer to the end.

Gritting his teeth Mask resolved to simply keep pressing forward here as he clocked Phoenix heading towards the ropes there, the 1 of the 7 would start to move towards the luchador. "Aight chica......let's roll." Mask muttered to himself before making to grab the ropes and swiftly ride along them in the hopes of smacking his legs right into Phoenix's chest with a tiger feint kick!

Phoenix was coughing a little while giving the back to Mask, and using the ropes to get up to stand on both feet. In that meantime, her opponent was taking impulse from the opposite ropes behind her and going for the Tiger Feint Kick, but the pinkette luchadora smirks seconds before and dodges the attempt.

True that she was recovering, but at the same time she used that meantime to think fast for a counter strategy. After dodging the move, Phoenix rolls back and pushes Mask against the same ropes, which were now in front of both. After the push, she would jump into his shoulders and go for an inverted hurricanrana.

Mask would admit the move he was attempting was a particular favourite of his, one time in the past he had even caught his fellow smiths with it a few times outside the ring using a lamppost. Still attempting to land it against a fellow lucha of the ring would be easier said than done even if they rocked Mask's world like a hurricane and Phoenix was still sharp as a whip even with the length of the match.

Mr Smith bet a lot on that tiger feint kick and he felt that he hadn't made his mark as he caught nothing but air there as he was coming back into the ring out the ropes there. Phoenix was able to get her legs up in time to catch the 1 of the 7 with that hurricanrana, in an instant Mask's field of view would go swiftly topsy turvy there and let out a loud "Gahhh!" as he then crashed and burned into a crumpled heap in the middle of the ring there as he could only see the lights above him as a shiny blur!!

After the perfectly executed hurricanrana, Phoenix would lean on the floor to recover by catching some breath. Of course, she would stand near the ropes to use them as support when she gets done with the recover. The pinkette luchadora was conscious that she did a risked move as a counter. But if she didn't do it, the match could ended with her defeated.

Some seconds later, Phoenix starts to crawl slowly towards those ropes which weren't far. Later, she uses them to pull herself and stand on both feet, still catching few breath until leaning on those as waiting for Mask to get up and continue. And if possible, to make a last move to end their match.

Mask was reeling, he felt his senses disoriented from the way that Phoenix tossed him around there. This Señorita was no joke throughout the match, made the 1 of the 7 wonder what moves she had outside the ring~ As it stood however the Smith was feeling that it was getting close to the end if the pain in his back was anything to go by, still it was at such times like this that the luchador would drive himself to the finish line as best he could as he heard the roar of the crowd all around them.

It made Mask ball his hands into fists as he rolled onto his stomach. Mask took a glance up and saw Phoenix recovering there. Made sense, the thing with lucha libre style fighting was it took a lot outta you. If you were lucky it took more out of the opponent. Mask saw red as it were and gritted his teeth as he tried to get into a running man starting stance and bolt right towards Phoenix there and try to spear her right into the turnbuckles! It was a bit of a desperate move but if it paid off the Smith might be able to line up something that could put his opponent away for this match!

Phoenix was standing on the corner, resting while holding herself on both rope sides after a hurricanrana, catching some breath while looking at Mask. The pinkette luchadora was giving all of her best efforts to pin and defeat him in this match, at the point of sweating, but it couldn't be seen because of her dark outfit.

She waited for him, and at the moment of his spear attempt, she jumps over him and counters with a Phoenix Twist! After that, the pinkette luchadora would crawl quickly and lean over Mask and hold one leg for the pin.

Mask was feeling it, that perhaps if he could get his opponent in that corner........He might just be able to put his opponent away with that finisher of his. The dangerous yet devastating move he labelled Heaven Smile, it was a difficult move yet could guarantee victory were it to occur and Phoenix had been deemed a worthy enough foe for the 1 of the 7 to try and get them into position for it.

Only for the pinkette to actually manage to dodge his attempt to weaken her by leaping over him like a matador's capote over the bull, the next thing Mask De Smith knew though he was getting flipped up and over. Then slammed on his head right then and there! "Gugh!" Mask grunted out as his honed wrestling instincts told him that he'd just been spiked on his noggin. His mask clad vision blurred and his ears rang from the stunning blow, then he felt Phoenix heft one of his legs up for the pin.....

ONE!

Mask shuffled faintly in the pin, was this to be his end? He had travelled far from Mexico in pursuit of his destiny, backed only by the good graces of the mighty Harman Smith and his fellows in the killer 7 to support them. The drive within Mask screamed for him to rise.

TWO!

The 1 of the 7 had been through a lot and had suffered his own share of head related injuries, this? This was in the top five for sure, the thoughts of his fellow orphans no doubt watching this and screaming for Mask to get up ran into his mind and surged through his body. His arm would sharply raise just before the drop of the hand for the third time! The crowd screamed and people in the front could be heard yelling "He kicked out! He kicked out!" as the roar heard throughout the audience!

Phoenix executed the Twist perfectly and remained Mask against the mat while waiting for thr referee to make the count, but surprisingly it got interrupted at the last moment when Mask kicked out. Phoenix lays in the mat while holding her head with both hands, not believing that he kicked out after that devastating finisher, and the roar of the crowd was the proof.

Phoenix lays in the mat while recovering some breath before getting up and continue the match between both. Once she recovered enough, she gets up and stands in both feet, showing signs of little tiredness while walking up towards Mask to pick him up by the neck.
