Tending to the War Garden

Reiko had hoped her wild charge could at least catch Aurora off guard, but the tag champ proved her experience and reacted fast. Her sudden dip down nearly had Reiko trip over herself, expecting to collide with a body only to hit air instead. Even more so as her legs were snatched right form under her and the Aiki Demon had her own momentum used against her to not only miss, but-

"Affu-!"

Collide right against the middle ropes, practically hanging the lower ropes as the world started to spin and flash with splotches of color. And it was even over yet, as Aurora immediately took advantage, grabbing her by the waist and hooking into her hakama before slinging her back into a roll.

It was a dizzying experience, but Reiko had experienced far worse at the start of a match. Quickly, she regained her bearings as she rolled back, shifting her weight and forcing her body to continue the roll Aurora had started and get herself upright and Aurora taking the fall. "And you need to shut up and fight me!" Reiko snapped back. "If you think you can just pin me without knocking me out you'll never beat me!"

Despite the torrent of emotions welling up inside her, Aurora centered herself well enough to find her usual groove in the ring with Reiko! The luchadora evaded the headbutt and tripped up her sparring partner! She went for the pin!

But Reiko was very much skilled in her own right! She used the momentum from Aurora's roll-up attempt to roll back onto the balls of her feet and deny The Galaxy Cat the pin! Aurora immediately turned over onto her front. The petite ebony wrestler pressed her palms against the mats beneath her and rose up! Aurora locked eyes with her sparring partner. After hearing her friend's words, she began to realize what it meant to contrast styles with Amano like this. Aurora would adjust her hair and tread lightly as she slowly circled the ring.

"Three seconds with your shoulders down. A quick and artful submission followed by a quick tap out. It doesn't take long to win a wrestling match, Reiko." Aurora would spread her fingertips and raise her palm towards Reiko, inviting her fellow lightweight to take her up on an invitation to a test of strength!

"I pride myself on ability to win wrestling matches. You pride yourself on your ability to win fights." Aurora's heterochromatic eyes narrowed as she approached Reiko to try and interlock her fingers with the brunette's own! And should Reiko reciprocate, Aurora would begin to push forward with gusto, pressing her toned frame against Reiko's own as she looked to take the lead in the match again!

"So come fight me. And I'll come wrestle you. And when the dust settles, I think we'll both reach new heights!"
