Meiyun Lai vs. Nico Cardona

The places from which Nico and Meiyun drew their inspiration seemed like they should have been worlds apart, and yet, when it came to their outlook on competition, the two girls couldn't be more alike. Nico was motivated to become a legend in the athletic world, taking after her fellow competitors in football. Meiyun, rather than following other sports, was drawn to the heroes of the screen and the page, and wanted to commit to the same principles that drove the protagonists of her favorite series in her own life. But both sports and anime had more in common than fans of either were often willing to admit. Both emphasized determination, effort, and striving to succeed even in the face of seemingly insurmountable adversity. And both Nico and Meiyun had shown plenty of that, down to this very moment! Nico was determined to hold on, no matter how hard her brunette foe struggled to break away - and even when Nico's grip seemed unbreakable, Meiyun had still made up her mind to fight it until she simply couldn't carry on any longer!

With her skull crushed by the pressure of Nico's arms, Meiyun's face was swiftly going a vivid red, and her body dripped with sweat. Her breaths had quickened into gasps, and her weight began to sag as she sunk lower into the canvas. She still tried to grab and slap at the arm encircling her throat, but it was growing harder and harder to breathe - each attempt she made to move air through her lungs only came through hot and hoarse. With her dwindling air supply, Meiyun's movements were growing heavier, and her aim was off; she started pawing aimlessly at the air. Seeing this, the referee looked at her with concern. "Do you give up?" she asked - but even if she was still gasping for air, and even if the world around her had become a blur, Meiyun shook her head as much as she could in Nico's ironclad embrace!

"No-!! I...I NEVER give up!!" Her cries, hoarse as they were, were those of defiance, and her teeth tightened in a grimace as she moved to grab onto Nico's arm with the last of her strength, putting all she could into prying it off her neck! She hissed under her breath; the veins in her forehead bulged. Her arms were trembling, and her fingers felt ready to give out at any moment - but Meiyun was going to stick to her principles and fight it to the end!

Nico and Meiyun both had a strong heart and an iron will to get through every obstacle, trying to prove themselves to everyone. They did'nt want to be "just" Young Lionesses they wanted to be "the" Young lionesses. And so they fought tooth and nail, showing the crowd who had expected a rather basic match, what they really could do and this little dark match turned into a crowd pleaser as the two young, cute and strong wrestlers pushed and pulled against each other.

Nico had been an athlete since she could walk so she had quite the stamina to boast and holding on to Meiyuns neck would'nt weaken her that fast usually. But the match had went on for some time and in their sweaty state it was even harder to maintain a good grip. But everytime Meiyund managed to slip, Nico secured the lock again both girls now on the floor, working against each other.

Nicos arms started to getting weak, she already lost sensation in both of them and only her will held her upright. But this was it, this was the chance to end this match and show the crowd the power of the Cardona method! So Nico took a risk and with a sudden jerk, swung her body around so it slammed against Meiyuns behind and from there she wrapped her incredibly strong legs around the Asians midsection and clamped down, the muscles in her strikers legs rippled as they squeezed into the Hakkas side like a vice while her arms still squeezed her head.

"Nghhhhh...vinga...vinga...deixa de ser tan tossut! grmpf...Ramirez taught you well McLeod but there can only be one!",she managed to get out through gritted teeth, whenever she was in a stressful situation, her movie quotes helped her to relax.

Meiyun could feel her body flaring up with heat the more Nico pulled back at her head, each time wresting more and more air from her lungs. She could feel herself growing slack, and she gasped and groaned with every jerk the blonde put her through. Every time she thought she was about to pass out, Nico came back at her with another yank that shook her back to her senses from the pain, contorting her more and more. Her whole body was sore, not only from the grueling match she had endured, but from the exertion she had put her body through in order to fight back, and the air that was left in her had grown stale and hot. Her eyes were starting to roll back up in her head, and her cries had given way to hoarse pants and gasps. Still, she was struggling. But every time Mei felt she was a little bit closer to finally escaping her predicament, Nico would just adjust and adapt, clamping down on her even harder! Meiyun had devoted herself to giving this match the entirety of her effort, and to never backing down. She had to show everyone she was a capable, committed fighter who wouldn't ever surrender! But Nico was certainly putting that to the test!

Even with the last dying embers of resistance, Meiyun was still fighting as hard as she could. She clenched her teeth, the veins bulging in her neck as she grabbed at Nico's arms and tried to pry them aside. Her face was red and pouring with sweat, and the groan that escaped her throat was one of pain as much as it was one of defiance. She knew she didn't have much left, but she had to use it nonetheless - it was her only choice, when surrender was simply intolerable!

And then, if it couldn't get any worse, Nico took her hold above and beyond - her legs locking around Meiyun's waist like the grip of a vice! As she felt the pain come down around her sides, the brunette threw back her head, letting out a shrill scream that carried with it those last gasps of air she still had in her. She thought she was already strained to her limit, but this had all but pushed her over the edge. With her brow furrowing from the strain, she squeezed Nico's arms even tighter, her knuckles blanching under the pressure - but by now, she could barely bring them to budge. At last, it was clear, there was no use. Meiyun simply didn't have anything left in her.

But still, she was going to be defiant to the end! The referee leaned in to check on her again, but she still gasped out, no matter how weak and strained her voice had grown. "No...I can't give up...I...can't..." Her weary muscles trembled, and her fingers began to slip. And then, at last, like a puppet whose strings had been cut, Meiyun fell limp. She fell slack in Nico's grip, suspended only by her arms and legs. She'd tried her hardest to keep herself going, but even she had her limits!

Nico the querky, catalanian jumping bean liked Meiyun, she liked her very much. Both of them just wanted to prove themselves, loved to fight and enjoyed popular Media. Nico felt relaxed when she was with Meiyun, both of them becoming friends really quick. And this was their first match. It hadn't just been a simple Lioness Match where you could get up to grab beer and snacks, the two young girls showed the crowd that even if they were rookies, there was value to them.

Nico had wrapped herself around Meiyun like a snake and squeezed down hard, cutting of the bloodflow to the Hakkas head and also the air to her lungs. It was a sloppy variation of the Austrian Eagles "Eine kleine Nachtmusik", you could say. The Eagles had reached out to Nico, as half Austrian she was invited to join the group when she had finished her run as Lioness and actually the chance to fight alongside people like Harmonia Edelstein and Molly Forster, who was not Austrian but became an honorary Eagle as part of their famous Tag Team "The Superstars", was an intriguing one.

Even Finella Edelstein was a very nice and cute person who was a masterful chef. Veronika Noir was ok, they didn't talk much but she easily could match looks with Harmonia. The only one Nico as unsure about was the blue haired girl Veronika had with her and who seemed to laugh to be loud and obnoxious together with the Queen of Hearts. Still, Nico liked them all very much and so she decided to be the best Lioness she could be, rising up the ranks and leaving the rookie roster as a formidable athlete, worthy of joining the legendary Sia von Karnsteins Team.

Nico closed her eyes and gritted her teeth,sweat ran down her face and her body slowly felt numb. Meiyun wasn't about to go down easy and Harmonia had to put in all she had to finally feel the Asian girl falling limp in her grasp.
The crowd roared as the referee went over to the two girls and lifted Meiyuns arm.
"One!"
"Two!"

Even before they'd met each other, Meiyun and Nico seemed like they were made to be good friends. They shared their passion not just for their interests, but for making something of their lives; in putting all their energy into improving their craft, pushing themselves to their limits, and defying all expectations. And both of them had plenty of energy to spare! Right now, though, Meiyun wasn't doing so hot in that respect. She had been in high spirits since the start of the match, and even at her lowest she was still throwing everything she could into her efforts. But Nico had managed to outlast it all, and in the end, Meiyun had burnt herself out. She'd used up all her strength, and now she had none left she could use to power her way out of the crushing embrace she found herself in, with Nico simultaneously squeezing her head against her chest and forcing her legs even tighter together around her waist. With each passing moment, the brunette felt the tension rising higher and higher; it felt like she would burst at any moment! Her teeth clenched tight to try and bear it, but in the end, it was hopeless. In Nico's embrace, the last of her energy dwindled - and she finally went limp in her grasp.

The referee was quick to run to Meiyun's side, lifting up her arm to check on her. But even before anything was declared, many onlookers were already sure what the results would be. Nico might not have had quite as much experience with the Austrian Eagles' signature finishing move, but it was a hold worthy of its fearsome reputation, and when she was already winded from the match, Meiyun simply couldn't keep up. The ref lifted her hand a third time...and once again, it dropped limp at her side!

"THREE!!"

The bell rang, and the arena lit up with cheers for Nico! She might only have been a Young Lioness, but she'd delivered on a match that proved just as exciting as anything further up the card could hope to be - and there was no one watching who couldn't see her potential shining through to its fullest! Meiyun, meanwhile, still lay there. Her body glistened with sweat, and only the slow rise and fall of her chest with each tired breath gave any indication she was alive. Slowly but surely, though, she would begin to stir - and finally, her eyes blinked open enough to look back up at Nico. They were tired and glazed over, but when they met Nico's, Meiyun still found it in her to smile a weary smile. She had fought hard, and tried her best to prove her strength, but, in the end, Nico had won. But it didn't matter. When Nico had put everything into her victory...Meiyun couldn't help but be happy for her, regardless.

Nico panted, her Barcelona leotard was drenched in sweat and stuck to her as she held on to her smaller friend who fought back like a lion. Nico already knew that she liked Meiyun but now she knew that she LIKED her. Meiyun was not just a very kind person, she also was funny and shared the same kind of weird humor that Nico had. A blessing for the European blonde who felt a little lost when she first arrived in Japan.

Thank god she had found many friends from around the world now and Meiyun was no exception. They both wanted to become stronger and both represented the same team so Nico couldn't be prouder as they both had made a little Young Lioness match something the crowd literally cheered for.

Nico let go the moment that the arm of Meiyun dropped a third time and rolled back, jumping to her feet and hopping up and down with a big grin on her face.
"I did it, I did it!",she cheered as she looked down to Meiyun who slowly had came to her senses. Nicos grin would only getting bigger as she jumped down and right into her friends arms, hugging her tight while pressing their cheeks together.

"Mei, graces, moltes gracies. Thank you so much for this match. We were AWESOME!",she said with sparkling eyes and smiled.
"Come, come this applause is for you too Mei-chan!", Nico smiled and got them both to their feet, an arm around Meiyun to hold her upright as they looked around drank in the cheers and applause of the crowd. This was a special day not just for Nico but also Meiyun and something both of them would not forget so easily...

Meiyun might have been starting to wake up, but she was still going to need some time before she was back on her feet. The strain of the match had taken its toll on her, and it showed - her face was red, her body sweaty, her hair messed with stray strands sticking up everywhere. She needed to take slow, deep breaths just to gather the air back in her lungs, and her eyes were still half-lidded and glazed over with fatigue. That wasn't going to stop Nico, though - the blonde just as quickly dove down, throwing her arms around Meiyun and pulling her into a tight hug!

"Ah-! Ow, ow..!" Meiyun winced at first - she wasn't quite ready for this much enthusiasm. When Nico gave her one of her trademark hugs, it was enough to leave her ribs feeling a little bit sore. But she couldn't hold it against her. Nor did it bother her, in the end, that she had lost the match. She looked back up at Nico with a smile, nodding her head. Nico was happy. Her friend was happy. And when she had fought so hard and pushed her skills to the limit, Nico had every right to be happy. She had shown everyone her best efforts, and it had put on a show everyone was willing to cheer just as much as if they were main eventers. Meiyun couldn't feel anything short of pride.

And when Nico guided the brunette back to her feet, she was quick to point out that all those cheers were for Mei, too. Nico had forced her to raise herself to her level, and Meiyun had passed that test with flying colors, showing everyone the same enthusiasm and energy Nico herself had put forward. She'd given it her all, and to all those people, that was enough. At first, Meiyun could only pant for breath - but when she looked out at all the eager fans cheering for them, for her, it filled her with a newfound sense of energy! A grin spread its way across her face even wider, and she just as quickly pulled Nico close up against her chest to return a hug. If they had made all this possible, so early on in their career...then the two of them were bound for greatness!

"Thank you!! Thank you so much, everybody!" Meiyun called out. "Your support is what makes this possible! And as long as you keep cheering me on...I'm happy to make you proud-!" She pumped one fist in the air triumphantly, but then she returned her attention to Nico, where a warm smile crossed her face. When she continued, her voice was softer, but the message was no less heartfelt.

"And...thank you, Nico. I couldn't have done this without you."

Nico flashed a big smile as she raised her hands, her big breasts jiggling along with her motions she made. But of course this was not just a big step in her career, Meiyun also had managed to make herself notable and given that the crowd still cheered and applauded them, even more so when the catalanian girl lifted her friends arm, it assured her that they both had gotten the full attention of the surprised crowd.

Nico just knew that there was a big future ahead of them and it seemed that all her dreams of becoming big were about to get true! She gave Meiyun a wink and then smiled.
"Of course Mei-chan! We are Lionesses and we stick together! don't you ever forget, a noble spirit embiggens the smallest man!",she said as if she Totally hadnt quoted a nonsense word by the Simpsons.

Anyway, the applause was theirs and Nico looked into the future with much bigger hopes now that she already had..
