Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
Kyo could barely breathe. His chest felt like it had been permanently fused in place, folded like molten metal under a blacksmith's hammer. Valerie's blows were coming in, heavy and powerful, too fast to dodge, to strong to block. He felt his legs buckle, and he instinctively held onto the upper ropes to keep himself from falling over completely. He was breathing through clenched teeth right now, doing his best to keep from toppling over completely.
And then Valley was grabbing onto his wrist, and suddenly Kyo was running across the ring. Inertia spun him around: it was all he could do to try to catch himself on the ropes of the opposite corner. Not fast enough: his back still slammed against the turnbuckle, white-hot pain lancing up his spine from the impact. A short, strangled cry escaped his lips, his body arching from the impact.
Again, it was all he could do to prevent himself from slumping down completely...

Thumpthumpthumpthump
Valerie swore, she could hear her heartbeat, this steady drum beat booming from her chair. She’d thought she could take this just like a normal match, like it would be no big thing, but now that she was here and doing this and feeling it, truly feeling it, it was the most amazing sensation in the world. This was another level, and she couldn't recall a time when she’d felt more alive in the ring.
The same couldn't be said for Kyo, though, who was looking ragged on the other side of the ring after being hurled by the Irish Whip. As much as she hated to see that, she pushed those concerns aside - full throttle, all the way. She came rushing forward, following his footsteps, leaped up as she closed in, and tried to hit her with a leaping knee to the face, hopping the hellish blow would take him down.

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
CRUNCH
That was the sound and accompanying sensation of Valley's knee smacking into Kyo's face. The attack had come so quickly that he couldn't even block or counter it: the moment he had turned around, Valley had been there, following up after him. The barest split second after his back slammed against the turnbuckle, Valley's leaping knee slammed home against his face.
The effect was immediate: Kyo's head snapped back in a spray of sweat, his entire body pitching backwards. His vision swam as the world spun around him, the blow sending him kareening over the ropes and tumbling down onto his front with an unceremonious thud. The crowd howled in disbelief as Kyo Akamatsu-- someone seen as a rising up and comer in LAW-- was left lying facedown at ringside within the first few minutes of the match.
The last bout between Valley and Kyo had been a close fought affair, but this? This was quickly turning into a one-sided massacre...

The crowd wasn’t the only one having a hard time believing this - Valerie was also having difficulty processing it. She’d never been this dominant in a match, had never exercised this much control. Even though the bout was still young and there was plenty of time to change things around, there was no ignoring the confident surge roaring through her as she sent Kyo tumbling out of the ring, bringing him down for a bad crash on the mats.
She was feeling good. Great, even. Confident, enough that she wanted to push her luck, just a little bit.
Instead of going right after him, Valerie moved in the opposite direction and slid under the bottom rope, placing her on the complete opposite side of the ring. She threw a sympathetic shrug to Makie, hoping she didn’t take this all too personally, then focused back on her brother. Watching, waiting for him to get up, for her to see that face from across the canvas. She bounced on her toes, pumped herself up…
The second she saw him, Valerie took off like a shot, dashing around the ring at full speed, building up a momentum with every step. She rounded the corner, locked on, and came barreling straight towards, only dropping down at the last second to propel herself forward, looking to nail him with another devastating Spear!

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
Kyo's head rang like a bell after being struck by Valley's knee, and he blinked rheumily, trying to get the world to snap back into focus. Here at ringside, he knew he was far more vulnerable: every wrestler worthy of the name knew that the confines of the ring were a much safer place to be than outside of it, where the various hard surfaces and objects could come into play.
Damn it, he had to get back up...get back into the ring, and fast...
Gritting his teeth, he got one leg under him, then another. With a groan, he stumbled back up to his feet...just in time to see Valley charging right at him, shoulder lowered for a brutal spear in a white and pink blur...
Instinct kicked in, and he hurled himself sideways, slamming to the mat again and avoiding Valerie's reckless charge by mere inches...

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
Frankly, Valerie should’ve seen it coming. Things were just going too well. Wrestling had a way of balancing things out, sooner or later, and she was coming up to the ‘later’ part. There was no way she could run wild like this forever.
Things looked good at first, with her bearing down on her target, locked in like a heating-seeking missile, all forward thrust. She’d figured that Kyo would be too weary to move, too haggard from the beating, that there was no way he could get away in time. Free hits, all the way.
Not so. She couldn't imagine where he found the energy from, but he could throw himself out of the way at the exact last second - soon enough to avoid the attack, too late for her to do any kind of course correction. The only thing left to hit were the steel steps behind them, and she hit them hard, ramming into them with her shoulder and sending them flying apart. She stumbled over it and wound up on her back, rubbing her shoulder.

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
There was a tremendous crash behind Kyo as Valerie slammed into the steel steps that he had only a few seconds ago been sprawled on. He pushed himself to his feet, body aching, and saw that Valerie was now on her back, clutching her shoulder after that botched spear.
His dad had once told them that luck played as much a factor in pro wrestling as skill and power did. If that was the case, then he had just gotten very lucky indeed.
He hobbled over towards the downed blonde: he had a window of opportunity now and he wasn't going to waste it. Grabbing a hold of her arm-- the one whose shoulder Valerie had impacted upon-- Kyo would give it a sharp twist, just to amplify the agony in her shoulder a little, before turning around, whipping Valerie towards the steel barricade.
He was conscious that they were both being counted out. He was also conscious that he wanted a proper prostyle bout with Valerie, not a ringside brawl. But after the way the blonde powerhouse had been running riot this whole match, he needed to start putting some hurt on her in turn to even things out.

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
Thank God for the adrenaline. As much as Valerie’s current state hurt, she had to imagine it would be so much worse if she weren’t riding such a wild high from the start. It felt like her shoulder have come close to getting dislocated with that, a stinging pain that emanated from the problem area.
”3!”
Valerie hissed and glared up at the referee as she instinctively tried to make her way back in, though she wasn’t sure if there was any need for a hurry - she wasn’t sure what would happen in a double countout in an Iron Match. Most likely, the referee would just restart the count.
She wouldn’t have time to find out, however as Kyo moved in fast to make the most of the window he’d created, seizing her arm and twisting to worsen the shoulder. Valerie shrieked as she was hurled into the barricade, her back hitting hard on the unforgiving metal.
She hissed through her teeth and tried to stand up, leaning on the divider for support, but that was about all she could do at the moment. Kyo had her.

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
There. After several minutes of being at Valley's mercy, Kyo had to admit that it felt good to be in the driver's seat again. There was the small matter, though, of the countdown going on, but at least now he had the opportunity to turn things around...though given the savage beating he had been taking so far from Valley, it remained to be seen how well he could strike at this time.
One thing at a time though. This was his thought as he walked over towards where Valley was slumped against the side of the ring. He shot his knee forward, aiming to hammer it into her firm abs, wind her...and then, grabbing her by the head, he would roll her back into the ring. Climbing up after her, he would try to propel himself over the ropes at her with a timely elbow drop into her back!

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
‘Frustration’. That was the best word Valerie could think to describe her current mood. She knew, deep down, she shouldn’t have been too mad about the way things were going, given she’d had such a strong start, better than she could’ve asked for…but, all the same, she’d wanted to ride this wave of success to the shore, and it sucked to have that stolen from her, even if she was far from defeated.
She was just starting to get her bearings when Kyo came over and ruined it, shooting his knee deep into her stomach and driving the wind clean out of her. She bent over, gasped, tried to refill her lung, but he was on the attack before she could hope to recoup. He rolled her into the ring, got up on the apron, and then…
By the time she realized what his idea was, it was far too late to avoid it. He came crashing down hard on her chest with an elbow drop from on high, driving it deep into her sternum and knocking the wind out of her. She let out a breathless cry and rolled over to her chest, kicking her legs while she cradled the aching area.
