So, Kurenai had a bit of a problem. In order to win, the match required her to get Dash over the top rope and dump her into the sea. That would’ve been an easy enough task for most wrestlers, but she wasn’t ‘most wrestlers’. In fact, she was a good deal smaller than average, and while her opponent could say the same, that didn’t change the fact that lifting people up, even people her own size, wasn’t something she excelled at. Even if Dash had been 100% cooperative in the process, this would have been a big ask.

As it turned out, Dash was not 100% cooperative. Far from it.

As they reached the ropes, she reached out and snagged the ropes with her legs, holding on tight and anchoring herself to them. This would’ve been a big problem by itself, but with her up like this, it meant that Kurenai had to support all her weight, something she wasn’t cut out for doing long term.

So she raised her arms up, palms out, and threw her body into a cartwheel, her legs spreading as she came to the apex and stuck them straight up into the air, then bent her legs as she turned her body and let herself fall, trying to ram her knees onto Kurenai's soft stomach as she came down!

As much as Kurenai wanted to blame that crash on the waves, she knew the real fault lied with her, as she’d been careless and underestimated her opponent’s vigor. There was a strong spirit underneath all those shimmering colors, and she showed it when she fought and managed to knock Kurenai away, coming down for a rough landing near the middle of the ring, one that the ninja bore the brunt of.

She laid there for a moment, groaning, but she might have been okay if she’d been given a chance to recoup. Her opponent didn’t seem interested in letting that happen, however - she had only just begun to rise when Dash came dashing in, leaping up and letting her knees crash into Kurenai’s chest at high speed.

This left the red ninja gasping, forcing her make the most noise she had in this entire match, she rolled to her side a moment later, clutching her stomach as she tried pull in enough air to replace all that she’d lost.

Success! Dash felt her knees SLAM into her opponents soft lower stomach, and saw as Kurenai's body nearly folded up as a result of it.
