Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
The mat crashed as the two of them slammed into it, the impact leaving Kyo sitting upright; opposite him, Valley had ended up jacknifing up into a sitting position as well, visibly stunned from having her forehead introduced to the canvas at high speed. The big blonde was stunned: good. Although Kyo's abs were still burning from having been hammered between the turnbuckle and Valley's piston-like shoulder earlier, it was still early in the match, and it wasn't enough to incapacitate him. Not yet, at any rate.
Wincing as he rolled to his feet, he burst into a run: moving past Valley, out of her field of vision, he ran towards the ropes, spun, and came back in an efficient rebound, aiming to jump forwards and drive both boots into Valley's exposed back for a simple but effective drop kick! The genteel bit of technical grappling the two had engaged in earlier was done: now the two were fighting in earnest, and Kyo had as little intention of holding back as Valley apparently did.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Spinebuster, huh? Good name for that move, because that was precisely what Valerie felt like. When Kyo spiked her onto the mat, an electric shock went through her bones, a bolt of pain that struck deep into her body. It was nothing that would slow her down too much, she could survive, but she was beyond glad she spent so much time improving her core. If it was only to survive moves like that, it was more than worth it.
She was okay. Or, rather, she would be once she got her bearings back and made it to safe ground. Valerie was just starting to make progress on that front when she felt a pair of boots slam into her back at ramming speed, multiplying the damage that his last move had done. She cried out at the impact and tumbled off to the side, a path that took her under the ropes and nearly had her flop to the outside of the ring. She grabbed the ropes at the last second, but that was a small mercy - she was still left hanging on the side of the ring, one leg draping off the apron, grimacing at the pain.
She kept her tight grip on the rope and started to pull her way up, but it was slow going all the way.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
That, Kyo had thought to himself, had worked out better than expected. Not only had he managed to evade Valley's devastating spinebuster, but he managed to counter and deliver her face-first right into the canvas instead. Even better, Valley's back had been turned to him as she tried to push herself up-- a fact that left her open to him, with her back exposed. And he wasted no time capitalizing, driving a pair of boots hard into her Valley's unprotected, singlet-clad back and actually managing to send the blonde tumbling almost out of the ring!
Hopping back up to his feet, Kyo took a short breather, before striding after the Valley, who was now lying sprawled almost halfway out of the ring, looking a lot less powerful and imposing than she had a few seconds ago. Grabbing a hold of Valley's arm, he pulled her back up to her feet-- though this was not an act of mercy. Pushing her slightly against the ropes, Kyo would spin, whipping Valley across the ring, letting her momentum carry her into the ropes to hopefully rebound back towards him...
...right into a spinning arm chop, aimed at her chest or temple, hoping to take Valley down with a brutal lariat!

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Getting up, getting up, getting up...
Valerie didn’t want to rush to her feet, but she knew her time was short - after all, she had the sense that she and Kyo and her were of the same mind on a lot of things, and there was no way that she would let him lay idle for long if the positions were switched. Sure enough, he came over to ‘help’ her back to her feet soon enough, forcing her to stand before she was ready, and taking initiative to pull her away from the ropes. They were on the move, it seemed.
Valerie was launched across the ring, turned to hit the ropes, and came roaring back towards an opponent that was coming her way at terminal velocities. Instead of trying to slow down, however, she sped up, leaning forward to pick up speed as they hurtled towards each other. She ducked down at the last second, narrowly avoiding a decapitating lariat, and bounded towards the opposite side of the ring, picking up speed with every step she made.
At full tilt, she hit the ropes and came barreling back towards Kyo. Right before the two of them collided, she leaped up,cycle through her legs, shot her leg out, and tried to connect with a running bicycle kick to his face, hoping to introduce his nose to the point of her heel.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Things had turned around in Kyo's favour now. That, at least, was what he was thinking as he yanked Valley up to her feet: given everything that had been happening so far in this match, he knew better than to give her time to recover. The blonde was powerful, relentless, determined...if he didn't take her absolutely seriously as an opponent, then he was going to lose.
Yanking Valley up by one powerfully muscled arm, Kyo wasted no time in whipping the Californian to the ropes. The moment she came rebounding, he was rushing up to meet her, his arm slicing through the air...
...and continuing to hit only empty air as Valley ducked. "Kuso!" Kyo hissed a curse, nearly unbalanced by his botched lariat and careening into the ropes. He regained control of his rebound, and came bouncing right back at Valley...
...and collided, nose-first, with her boot. Pain shot through his skull and he felt something very nearly break, and then he was down on his back, staring up dizzily at the arena lights. Around them, the crowd was going wild at Valley's sudden and decisive counter.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
The crowd weren’t the only ones going wild after that kick - Valerie nearly lost control, too. While she knew how to do the move, this was the first time she’d applied it running this fast, with this much momentum backing her up. It did a number on Kyo, so that was good news, but it made for an awkward landing, and she fell to her knees and almost wound up rolling under the ropes.
Thankfully, she was able to get her bearings and brought her leg up, smacking it against the bottom rope and ending her tumble. She looked over quick to see her opponent on his back, dazed and confused, staring up at the sky as if the daylights had been knocked out of him. She could hear her mothers’ voice ringing in her mind: Pin early, pin often.
Without a second thought, Valerie scrambled over, draped her chest against Kyo’s wrapped her arm around his ankle and leaned on him for the pinfall, as the referee came over to start it up. She doubted it would work, but that wasn’t the point. She wanted to put some fear in him.
”1…!”

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
So that's what it felt like.
If there was one thing Valley Doll II had been known for, it was her devastating kicks. Many of her matches had been defined by her high-powered striking and superbly effective legwork, and her signature pele kick had ended many a match. At the start of this match, Kyo had initially thought that Valley III wouldn't follow in her mother's steps in this regard-- her fighting style and build all suggested a relentless powerhouse rather than a versatile striker.
Well, that had been a mistake.
Kyo felt his head still ringing as he lay on his back, covering his nose with one hand. A quick feel told him it wasnt broken or bleeding-- a small mercy. Valley didn't waste time: in an instant, she was on top of him, hooking a leg for a pinfall.
Groaning, Kyo twisted to the side, getting a shoulder up. Before he two count. His head was still ringing from that kick, but he was still in this fight...though right now Valley was very much in the driver's seat.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Valerie wouldn’t call herself a striker, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t capable of bringing out one or two when the occasion called for it, and this one certainly did. You didn’t grow up with Valley Doll as a mother without learning to use your legs, and her powerful thighs could generate real damage.
They could do plethora of other things, too. On that note…
Kyo kicked out of her pin, but that hardly meant he was out of the woods.Instead of giving him a second to rest, Valerie pushed her over to his stomach, reached over, and wrapped her arms around his chest, pulling his back against her chest while she faced his legs.
Valerie breathed deep, planted one foot on the floor, and proceeded to stand up, lifting Kyo as she rose, deadlifting him straight off the canvas. The audience looked on with awe as her muscle bulged, but they wouldn’t be able to gawk for long.
With an Amazon’s war cry, Valerie arched her back, yanked Kyo through the air, and attempted to hammer him into the mat with a Gutwrench Suplex. She would keep hold of him if she landed it, too - she was about to take him for a ride.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
"Gnnngh..." Kyo grunted as he twisted to the side, getting a shoulder up. Mercifully, he felt the press of Valley's body against his loosen, and he rolled to the side, trying to put some space between them to try to get back to his feet. Unfortunately for him, Valley wasn't interested in giving him time to recover: he felt her powerful arms wrapping around her waist, her chest pressing up tightly against his chest. Kyo rasped, partly from the tight squeeze of Valley's encircling arms, and partly out of realization: he knew what was happening next.
In vain, he tried the only thing he could think of: as Valley stood up, he wrapped his arms around her powerful thighs, trying to keep the two of them grounded. For a brief moment, it worked: the two of them suddenly looked like Olympic wrestlers at that point, with Valley leaning down against Kyo and hugging his waist, and Kyo, his arms just below Valley's butt, grappling against her and trying to unbalance her.
It didn't last long: Valley finally succeeded in her deadlift, and Kyo's grip around his foe's powerful thighs finally came loose as he was lifted upside down. There was a brief rush of blood to Kyo's head, and then his entire body jolted as he was suplexed hard into the mat. His entire body went limp and folded forward, and he would have flopped back down to the mat entirely...had Valley not been maintaining her grip around his waist...

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
To Kyo’s eternal credit, he didn’t go gently into the night, instead choosing to grip Valerie’s legs as she rose up, puting up a surprising amount of resistance for a man who’d just had his skull kicked in. She grunted as she powered through the effort, summoning more of her power than she’d intended. This would’ve been a hard thing to do even if he was out all the way, and his struggles pushed it to Herculean efforts.
But he was going. Like it or not.
She brought him crashing into the mat with thunderous force, shaking the ring and making the arena tremble. The referee moved around them, looking like she was ready to start the count up again. Proactive, nothing wrong with that, but…
”Again!”
Valerie cried out as she planted her feet and surged back to standing, lifting him up once more. She took a moment to redouble her grip, gritted her teeth hard, then jerked back and executed another Gutwrench Suplex, drilling him into the exact same spot she’d landed with the first.
”One more time!”
The echo from her impact hadn't even finished making its way across the building when Valerie cried out again. She worked her way up once more, this time straining along the way, nearly dropping Kyo in the process as she recruited every muscle she could find for the effort. Breathing heavy, brows furrowed to the point of pain, she let out a feral shriek as she arched her back and attempted to send him flying with a final Gutwrench Suplex, hurling him through the air as she debuted her signature move - Rodeo Drive.
