Diana Accera/Alaina Sanders - Level Up!

Watching Alaina put focus onto purely her strength made Diana reconsider for a moment her fighting style. She had always been a Jill-Of-All-Trades, master of none. The woman was as fast as she was strong, and as smart as she was skilled. But she'd been beaten before, in all four departments, and not a few times.

"Heh...Leaner, you best get some cardio done before the end. You're just gonna be a block of meat, ripe for being chopped down!" Smirking as she aided after that 15th raise, Diana would slide the weights back upon their rest before leaning on them.

"Guess this does mean I'll never have to kick your ass if I fancy some gold around my waist..."

"I wouldn't worry, you know we'll end up fa ing off on the ring again. Who knows maybe there will be an overall champ where weight division won't matter." Alaina said as she recovered taking a few breaths before next set.

She knew it was a gamble, but one she had to take. The amazon just didn't feel like the powerful, fast, agile woman she used to be. At least now she would be able to say she did all she could to make her come back successful.

"When do ya figure you will get that middle weight title shot?"

"S'pose. World title and all that. Plenty of other stuff I've heard that's in the works. If I came sooner, might of gotten myself a piece of that KO tourney I keep hearing about..." Pondering on the thought of outright trying to knock out some of the women she had met already in her short tenure in LAW, Diana again assumed the position of spotter, before being offered a question.

"Fuck knows. Could be next week. Could be next year. Could be after. I missed out didn't I? Will just have to earn a shot the old fashion way..."

Alaina went to work doing her reps, making it to 10 before her arms began to shake, and she groaned as she tried to pound out five more. She made it to thrust up thirteen, managed to shake up fourteen, and labored to slowly agonizingly get fifteen!

Alaina laid inbhet back, gasping for breath as she loomed up at Diana. "You will have a belt in no time. I got beat clean by Natasha and missed a shot at a title the old fashioned way, by losing. I will make up for it in time though, just a little setback."

Diana knew for a fact that Alaina was dangerously pushing herself now, or atleast coming close to, but still she kept silent. Her words would only fall on deaf, proud-filled ears after all. Again aiding in slotting the weights back to their resting posture, resting upon it herself with arms under her chin as she spoke, Diana pondered competition she hadn't even met.

"Purple hair, right? Yeh, I've seen her. Something tells me a fight with her wouldn't go as smoothly as I'd hope..." Diana would chuckle, knowing that for all her fighting prowess and striking ability, neither would exactly help against a woman of Natasha's skill and charms.

Alaina sat up, feeling like she was done after her four sets. It would be a moment before she made her way to do some tricep and shoulder exercises. "Yeah that's her. She has a lot more power than it looks. Pretty well off in terms of technique and strikes as well as able to use cheap shots when the referee isn't looking." Alaina said with a laugh.

"She did manage to slam me silly in both matches though, look out for her and don't take that Soviet skank lightly." Alaina cautioned if Diana ever were to face her in the ring.

"Soviet scank..." Diana tutted, smirking as she leaned a little off the weights. "Can't at all tell she beat you..." Giggling a little over apparent bitterness from her long time friend, Diana need not be told twice. Of all the middleweights she had taken note of, Natasha was high on the list. More so than the others, because Diana could find herself made to look the fool against her.

"Are you actually planning on hitting the treads at all? At this rate, your gonna be top heavy with no legs at all."

"Oh yeah, I was gonna hit the squat rack first though. If you want to run first I am cool either way." Alaina said looking like she was wondering herself what the best course of action would be.

"I just need to sit back and learn again. Things will come back in time." Alaina added noting Diana's comment about Natasha beating her. Diana was right though, if Alaina beat herself up over losses she would get nowhere. She had to take on what she could and come out better for it.

Diana merely sighed, as Alaina's focus over the Russian in question seemingly made her forget of Diana's current attire. Hardly suitable for jogging. Leaning upon the rack yet still, hand coming to her head to hold it up, Diana let loose a lowly huff.

"Well there's no rush. Even if you miss the qualifiers, the belt ain't out of reach."

Alaina grinned and looked up at Diana. "So, what about you? I know it won't be long until we have that statuesque frame of yours with a shiney gold belt around your waist." Alaina said with a grin. "Have ya ever put thought into training rookies?"
