Lightweight Clash: Raquel vs. Lu

Raquel was laid out on the mat and Lu was quick enough to act right as Raquel was still laying on her back when the elbow drop came and smashed her midsection! "Ugggghhhhh...." Raquel groaned as she kicked the mat and rolled over onto her side, Lu fighting her way back in to the match effectively after Raquel's hot start to the matchup.

The elbow drop connected with brutal efficacy, much to Lu's relief. She spent a short moment resting on the mat to replenish her breath and let some of the pain aching across her head and back fade away. Once she's recovered enough, she sprung to her feet only to attempt another elbow drop, except this time she jumped and targeted her opponent's ribs with the elbow. She followed up by running to the ropes for a rebound. Building momentum, she leapt into the air and executed yet another elbow drop. Like both times before, she aimed to hit Raquels midsection.

"OOmph!" Raquel groaned as another elbow crashed down on top of her ribs. She kicked in pain as Lu ran to the ropes and jumped up. Raquel may have been down but she also wasn't going to be beat by someone doing the same thing over and over! Raquel grunted and rolled hard to her left, leaving Lu to crash down elbow-first onto the mat, hopefully buying Raquel time to rise back to her feet. She had to get back into the fight but for right now stunning Lu allowing herself to get back up was a nice little start.

Lu realised mid-jump that she made a mistake and she instantly regretted putting all of her weight into her elbow for the elbow drop. "Gah!" Her body crashed onto the canvas with a dull thud, having missed her intended target who briskly rolled out of the way. "Grrrrg!.." She grunted through gritted teeth as she writhed on the floor, her forearm aching after eaten the brunt of the impact.

Nonetheless, she soldiered through the pain and lethargically rolled to the ropes, hoping to pull herself to her feet before Raquel can. Should Lucy somehow outpace the American and stand up first, Lu would then lumber over to her opponent while still clutching her hurt forearm. Afterwards, she attempted to hit Raquel with a shoot kick to her chest.

Raquel was starting to rise up on her hands and knees as she saw Lu coming. The kick came as Raquel was on her knees but her arms were ready. Raquel reached out to grab hold of Lu's leg as the kick came, continuing to rise to her feet before spinning and flipping Lu over trying to send her to the mat with a dragon screw to counter the kick! Raquel had gotten much better at counters and defensive wrestling lately, and she was looking to show that off right here in the ring.

"Eh?" Lu grunted in surprise as her foot made contact with the enemy but it didn't have the effect she expected. Upon seeing her leg trapped within her opponent's embrace, she tried to perform an enzuigiri. "Gwah!" However, she was flipped and slammed hard onto the mat instead. In fact, her enzuigiri attempt probably improved the lethality of the dragon screw. Stunned and partially winded, Lucy had no choice but to lay flat on her back while Raquel was free to do as she pleased uncontested.

With Lu down and Raquel standing up it was her turn to keep Lu down on the mat! Raquel smiled and jumped up, tucking her knees in as she jumped looking to come crashing down onto Lu's abdomen with a double knee drop! "Payback is a real bitch ain't it?" Raquel said as she jumped into the air eager to pay Lu back for the painful elbow drop parade that the red-head from Boston was forced to endure!

Lu blinked groggily as she tried to reorientate herself. Just as she gathered her bearings, she witnessed a projectile drop onto her. "Grk!" All four of her limbs shot into the air as her opponent's knees dug into her stomach, knocking the air out of her lungs. Her chest heaved up and down rapidly while her arms and legs flopped limply onto canvas in a spread eagle position. As much as she hated it, she couldn't really do anything except wince and stare up at the lights.

Raquel had Lu stunned and down on her back, so she tried to work on a different approach than before. Raquel gabbed both of Lu's legs and rolled her over trying to bend her legs back locking in a Boston crab submission hold! Raquel knew it was basic but she also knew this would be effective or so she hoped as she attempted to make Lu feel some serious lower back pain.

"Nghhh..." With a weak moan, Lu laid lifelessly on the ground. She felt her legs being grabbed but she couldn't even muster a token response as she was flipped onto her stomach. Soon enough, Raquel's plans became abundantly clear when a surge of agony spiked across Lucy's spine. "Gaahhh!" The submission hold forced a sceam out of her lips but it also urged her body back into action.

Any sense of fatigue faded away as she desperately sought to escape her current predicament. Thankfully, she quickly discovered her saviour in the form of the ring ropes hanging in front of her. She reached out to grab them and if they were out of reach, she would press her forearms onto the floor and painstakingly attempt to drag herself closer to salvation.
