Adama Saadia vs Isaiah Bowen - North Star

Adama was no stranger to being grappled, many a time in her underground fights she'd come across men that were bigger than her and had managed to get a grip of her. In those underground fights Adama would have at times done a kick to the nuts among other underhanded moves she would admit. Yet here she would abide by the rules of the engagement and refrain, relying instead on her honed footwork from her akido training to make herself a harder target to pin down for the prophet to handle. The siren of the sands would feel herself eventually manage to slip out of his grip like sand through the hourglass, moving into a forward roll to gain distance away from Isaiah there. Just a good tumble learned from judo there, roll with the flow as her mentor would say to her.

The Israel girl would quickly turn to face her opponent who actually complimented her on her skilled movements, that actually somewhat surprised Adama there given the man's entire entrance earlier there. Regardless her mentor would have instructed her to receive the praise there, so her expression noticeably softened there. Adama didn't speak though, wasn't really her style. Regardless it seemed both had to give the other credit there.

Regardless the siren of the sands was going to press on, Adama would shuffle to the sides. Her arms gingerly outstretched, before lunging like a coiled snake in the desert shade attempting to close the gap at the prophet and try to cinch him into a elbow and collar tieup followed by trying to drive a knee into his gut to see how good his striking game was......

Isaiah had to admit, he didn't expect much from this opponent, after all, as far as he could tell, this was her first foray into LAW's mixed division. But, thus far, she had handled herself perfectly. Normally, or at least with Isaiah it seemed, the female would attempt to flirt and seduce him into submission. Adama seemed too disciplined for that. Isaiah was a bit taken aback when the Siren attempted another lockup, as it seemed established earlier that they were equals in strength. Isaiah soon felt a knee to his gut, making him stumble to one knee. This girl was stronger than Isaiah gave her credit for...

Perhaps Isaiah was subconsciously expecting Adama to be some floozy that would flirt with him, it probably hadn't been helped by the rather skimpy white cloth piece that she called her ring attire. However the prophet would be surprised here as getting into someone's pants was the farthest thing from the girl from Israel's mind, more focused on proving herself worthy of her mentor's teachings than anything else. Adama would not be courted so easily to begin with, having no clue on such a process to begin with. Regardless it seemed that Isaiah expected one thing and ended up getting another thing entirely here as he left himself wide open there from the strike delivered by the siren of the sands. While she was by no means an expert in strikes her mentor made sure to teach her the basics at the very least.

The prophet was forced down to one knee there, perfect. Adama sprung into action following the successful blow there. The Israel maiden would slip in and around Mr Bowen, her snow white hair a blur as she quickly shuffled up and around the prophet. Grabbing hold of his left arm Adama would attempt to cinch it tightly around his back to crank it and cause some jolts of pressure there, the siren of the sands would put her grappling skills to the test and give Isaiah a test here as she'd use her other arm to wrap around his neck as she mounted him somewhat on the back. It became clear to all in attendance that Adama had a blend of martial arts behind her, a focused mixture of Akido and Jiu Jitsu grappling.

Now Adama kept her gaze fixated on the prophet, her eyebrows slightly frowning as she sized up Isaiah. Keen to learn if the man was capable of standing against the burdens of the desert sands that she was raised from here.......

Isaiah didn't really have time to counter his opponent's knee as he soon found himself in a strange hammerlock/sleeper hold you might see in an octagon. Isaiah had to admit, this girl knew what she was doing, and didn't let anything get in her way. Maybe being from the harsh deserts of the Holy Land toughened her up. Isaiah smiled, it was nice to have a serious opponent for once. Still, she had to learn of Southern determination, as he started to make the effort to get to the ropes in order to break the hold...

Adama had always had a preference for submission holds, it allowed her to bring even the tallest of men to their fall against her. They'd wrangle and struggle around like they were caught in a lethal pile of quicksand at the hands and feet of the Israel, she'd defeated many a person in underground fight pits that thought she'd be an easy target due to her exotic features. Only to find themselves flipped around and having their neck and back bent into painful positions, Adama despite her lack of actual wrestling background proved herself a capable martial artist to more than make up for this. Isaiah would likely become well aware of one thing, that the moves that were being performed by the siren of the sands were being done by someone, that knew exactly what they were doing.

Still Isaiah seemed to know what he was doing too, he wasn't panicking as much as Adama had hoped or assumed there. Much to her chagrin, Regardless the albino waif would make sure Isaiah would have to work for his rope escape here, the girl was going to make sure to keep the holds applied as best she could. Simply favouring the damage more than anything else, before long the prophet would manage to luck out here and be able to make his way to the ropes.

"Rope break! Release it Adama!" the ref girl would say.

However Adama was aware of the rules, that she had a five second count before she'd be forced to. The Israel maiden would grunt and keep her holds locked in as the ref began counting to five, after she reached it Adama would finally release it. Clicking her tongue before rolling backwards a bit, still she'd given Isaiah a taste of what was to come were Adama to have her plan fully established.......

Isaiah had to admit, he may have underestimated this so-called "Siren of the Sands" Even so, he wasn't about to go down without a fight, as he successfully made it to the ropes to break the submission. Adama would wretch the hold for the five seconds before the break. Isaiah lay on the mat for a second, before making it back up, "Isaiah the Prophet vs. an Israelite, I can't be the only one seeing the irony here..." Isaiah said to no one in particular. The Book of Isaiah, found in the Old Testament, spoke doom for disobedient people of Israel, but also spoke hope. Maybe Isaiah would be the hope for Adama, whatever that meant. Isaiah would charge her with a shoulder tackle, and if this was successful in knocking his opponent over, he would cinch his fingers in Adama's abdomen in a stomach claw, hoping to further wear her down...

It was times like this that Adama knew she'd have to adapt to a new fighting condition, here in a wrestling match there were rules of sorts unlike those underground fighting pits where it was tooth and claw and you could only press on till you couldn't stand up anymore. The siren of the sands had been bloodied before and took it in stride even if she wasn't the toughest compared to others, because it was all she had known ever since she was a simple urchin off the streets.

Isaiah made some comment about his prophet gimmick thing, to which Adama simply rolled her eyes in annoyance. She'd had plenty of preachers spout stuff in daylight, it made for good cover when she needed to hide at least. But as it was Adama couldn't care less for any sort of irony here for she had work to do, it seemed that Isaiah was quick to get into action again. Perhaps a bit more so than Adama had predicted as such.

Isaiah dashed in with a shoulder tackle, nailing Adama in her chest area and sending her into the mat with a heavy thud. "Gnn!" Adama grunted out, followed by the prophet digging his hand into the pale albino skin of Adama with a stomach claw. Dang his nails were pretty sharp there, this also wasn't good at all for Adama. Still she was fairly good on the ground, the albino girl tried to grab hold of Isaiah's clawed arm with both her hands and try to bring up her legs close to his shoulder and try and wrangle into the grappling game here with the prophet. That said it was a very obvious tell given Adama's lack of full mastery of Judo but it'd give Isaiah some food for thought here!

Isaiah had seen other wrestling matches, hell, he had been in other wrestling matches where this hold was used, hell, he often used this hold himself, and he never seen anyone submit to a belly claw, sure, it seemed theoretically possible, but, he had never seen anyone pull it off, and judging by how hard Adama was struggling, he wasn't about to be the first. Isaiah soon realized that not only was the hold not working, he was putting himself in danger as Adama was beginning the process of countering it. Fearing the worst, Isaiah let the hold go. It seemed like at least for the time being, this was a stalemate...

Adama had a bit of a Jiu Jitsu and Judo game to her plan, so she was no stranger to laying on her back in the fight. In fact she'd prefer rolling around with the enemy on the mat, even the biggest of men could be brought down low and trapped once she got a good lock in on them. She could still remember the first time the siren had locked in a rear naked choke on her opponent, he tapped out faster than she could blink. But it seemed that Isaiah was a bit more craftier than most men Adama had fought in the past, or at least was aware enough of the ground game that he'd best take a more different approach here if he was gonna wrangle with Adama on the mat there. He got some good damage in with that stomach claw, damn those nails were sharp. Probably not filed either.

Still discretion was the better part of valour it seemed for the prophet, Adama rolled around on the mat and got into a feral looking crouching posture. Her amber eyes staring darts at the prophet, if she had gotten her legs up a bit faster there she could have taken Isaiah's limb and tried an armbar lock there possibly. As it was though Adama was gonna have to fish around a bit more for that one lethal lock or counter to take the prophet down there, Adama stood back up and bounced from side to side. She had to try and not get frustrated here, her mentor no doubt would have shouted for her to keep calm under the duress of war.

The siren of the sands shuffled around the prophet, sizing him up before trying to fake a lunge at Isaiah before leaning her body back and then bursting out into a proper lunge to Isaiah's left leg to try and grab it and take him to the mat while holding the ankle. Adama decided that at this point in the match she could reveal her hand here now that a rough estimation had been sort of discerned in her mind.

Isaiah admittedly didn't have a plan after the stomach claw, and was wondering what he should do next. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Adama didn't wait all that long to have a plan, as she soon lunged for his leg in an apparent takedown attempt. It was now apparent that this Siren, whoever she was, was more of a fighter than a wrestler. Not that there was anything wrong with that, as it seemed to work for her so far, as the takedown worked somewhat, making Isaiah unbalanced enough to go down to both knees...Isaiah's eyes widened, "Well, this is a throwback" as in the early days of the Prophet, this was his signature pose: on both knees with arms outstretched, like a backwoods preacher when the Spirit was really on him. Still he had to figure out away to prevent Adama from doing any real damage...
