Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Gato plan wasn´t really working out so great for her. Instead of going forward, Asuka was backing away also avoiding a possible knee strike from the masked wrestler. She was good… was the last thing that was running through the mind of the Mexican woman before she saw how Asuka was making a step forward again, closer to the cat wrestler. Gato saw that she was pretty wide open and she would regret it the next moment. The fist of the smaller fighter would shoot upwards right against the chin of the masked fighter. Gato was stood up instantly. She would even lean backwards for a moment and stumble a few steps backwards before putting her head forward again and rubbing her hurting chin. She would look over to her opponent; wow this woman really was packing a punch. Gato would move her chin a bit, while holding her eyes on the Japanese fighter. She was even better than gato had hopped!

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Seeing that her punch had connected and stunned the muscular Mexican lady, Asuka decided to continue her offense and hopefully do a fair bit of damage. She moved forwards to chase her, and swung a big high kick up at Gato's head! Hopefully, her boot would come swinging into the side of Gato's skull and send her stumbling off, or perhaps even knock her flat on her back if things went well enough.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Gato was just able to get a good stand when she saw that the small girl was coming right after her like a predator hungry for more. The big Mexican woman didn´t have any time to react or prepare herself for the coming impact. The leg of her opponent was smashed right against her skull forcing her to spin around and stumble backwards a bit more. The Mexican woman would stumble around for a moment totally dizzy and unable to see straight.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Asuka smiled to herself at the satisfying feeling of her boot thudding against Gato's head. The cat-girl wrestler stumbled backwards and looked totally dazed and stunned, giving Asuka a fair bit of confidence to take her on. After a half-second, Asuka came up with a plan, and took a few steps back away from Gato before coming charging back towards her. When she got close enough, she'd leap up into the air to land on the woman's shoulders, then flip herself backwards to hopefully flip Gato too, slamming her onto the canvas in a hurricanrana.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Gato was just able to see the world around her normally again when she heard some fast steps right behind her. The Mexican woman knew that her opponent was on the attack once again and would try to turn around to face her, but before she was able to turn around completely the small girl was already in the air and in the next moment she would land right on the shoulders of the big woman and would make her flip over before she was smashed head first into the mat head first. The big woman would moan out loudly while laying down dizzy.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Seeing that her hurricanrana had worked out, and ending up straddling Gato's (admittedly pretty impressive) chest, Asuka threw her hands up for the audience, getting a big cheer for managing to take down someone so much more muscular than she was. She quickly moved to follow up on her new advantage and takedown, leaning back to hook her arms under Gato's knees and then leaning forwards again to lock in a matchbook pin! She'd look to the referee as he started to count.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Gato suddenly felt how her legs were pulled up from the mat and the whole combined weight of herself and her opponent was resting on her shoulders and pressing them down to the mat. The masked woman was almost unable to move in any way. She would keep struggling for some time, but Asuka was holding her in place with big ease. So the ref was able to start his count: “1…2…”
But right after the second count Gato would try to focus her power and flip herself up from the mat, letting both fighters fall sideways to the mat.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Gato falling on her side was a very easy task. Asuka didn't weigh much, and Gato was a pretty strong girl for her size, she could've even kicked out of the matchbook fairly easily if she'd tried. As soon as she twisted over, it broke Asuka's pin and the smaller blonde quickly scrambled to crawl away from Gato, not too interested in being caught in a grappling match with someone so muscular. If she wasn't interrupted, she'd push herself up to her feet and stumble across the ring, putting a lot of distance between Gato and her.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Gato was only slowly working her way back up to her feet. She would look over the ring to her opponent who was standing there ready for her. The Mexican woman needed a short moment to catch her breath. That right there was damn close, if the masked woman wouldn´t watch out enough that match would be over sooner that anyone would like, maybe except Asuka.
Gato would let her head spin on her shoulders for a moment trying to lose her muscles again, then she would try to bend forwards, watching the Japanese fighter closely. She needed to do something good to beat her. And so the bigger woman decided to run forwards right towards the Japanese woman. The masked wrestler would slowly raise her arm up like she wanted to go for a clothesline, but when she was close enough Gato would let herself fall down to the mat, sliding over the floor foot first. She would try to perform a baseball slide hopping being able to take her opponent by suspire and hit Asuka´s feet wit her own to take her down.

Re: Power vs Speed: Gato vs Asuka
Back on her feet now, and with a seemingly safe distance between herself and the collapsed Mexican mute, Asuka was feeling confident. She hadn't really taken any considerable damage up to now, with things going mostly in her favour. If she managed to beat Gato, you can be damned sure that the rest of the lightweight division would never hear the end of it. The thought of irritating a locker room full of her peers made her smirk, and she brought her hands up into her usual stance.
Only, she hadn't been paying attention. Gato was back on her feet now, too, and rushing down at her with her body language suggesting that a clothesline was coming her way. Not wanting to risk it, and not believing that Gato would fake an attack, Asuka quickly ducked forwards and took a step, only for Gato to drop onto the canvas and slide into her. All 165 lb of Mexican middleweight was far more than necessary to sweep Asuka's legs out, and sent the little blonde crashing face-first into the canvas.
