Astrid had been taken by surprise. When Widow came near her, she was banking on her throwing her shoulder into her chest, something she would be able to defend herself against. But she wasn't prepared to have her legs targeted instead! Widow might have intended to merely stagger Astrid, but the champion didn't have time to center herself, and she was instead taken off her feet entirely, throwing her to the ground!

Astrid landed with a thud, her back sore from where she had absorbed the impact. She clenched her teeth, shaking herself for a moment in an effort to deal with the pain. While it might have hurt, Astrid didn't realize she had gotten off easy. Widow wanted to be able to work her leg harder, and when Astrid instead fell to her back, she couldn't get a good hold on her. Especially when Astrid proceeded to fire off a kick, booting Widow in the stomach and pushing her back before she could close in on her!

Sitting up, Astrid panted. Her breaths came in hushed and hoarse as she sucked the air through the gaps between her teeth, her eyes fixed on Widow with a grimace. When she heard Widow's taunts, however, the blonde fell silent. She recognized that threat to tear something in her legs all too well. It was the same threat that Rose Gold had made against Aoi - and the same one she had delivered on. Although Astrid wasn't close enough to any corner posts for Widow to pull off the same brutal figure four the new Lightweight Champion had, the comparisons still hung on everyone's mind, with many fearing for Astrid's safety. Even Astrid herself, in that moment, had gone still.

And she had gone still for just long enough for Widow to strike! In that moment, the veteran threw herself down on top of Astrid, grabbing her leg and slamming her elbow into her knee. The Norwegian screamed in pain, her head thrown backward as she reeled from the impact. It felt like her leg was on fire! Slipping back flat, she sank back against the mat, leaving herself open.

This was bad, Astrid thought to herself. She had gone into this match anticipating Widow to target her neck, and she was prepared to defend herself against such attacks. But if she was going after her leg instead, she didn't know what to do!

Mind games can break a match but if done correctly it can win you as many victories as long as you know what your doing, in Astrid case... Widow was determined to break Astrid piece by piece in front of everybody, to show them that she really ran as soon as she got the title. What better way to break a strong prideful wrestler is to force them to see that by striking at their pride.

"What wrong Champ...You really think I wouldn't switch up my style to break you in front of everyone...", mocking Astrid with a smug sounding tone, as if speaking to a child and not the champion of the company.

Not letting go of the Norsewoman leg while she gets to her feet keeping a tight grip on the limb, bending over forcing the champion leg onto the mat making a quiet motion with her hand to the crowd. Before slamming her knee into Astrid own knee targeting that limb like a hunter going after a injury prey.

Getting to her feet, trying to drag Astrid body over to the corner ring post. "Don't worry Astrid... I'm still going to break your neck.. But I'm going to cripple you as well.. You never step foot in MY RING again.."

There was no doubt about it that Widow was getting in Astrid's head. First in goading her into attacking with her taunts over her family and her threats of crippling her body and her career, and next in faking the Norwegian out, leaving her open to taking a spear to the legs that knocked her feet out from under her. But it was the next blow against Astrid's psyche that perhaps hurt the most. Widow knew that Astrid had been taken by surprise, and she was rubbing it in!

Astrid hissed, clenching her teeth as she looked back up at her opponent. Her fingers coiled into a fist, one that was waiting to strike out and hit its target. But she was slowed by the pain surging through her leg, her face contorted in a wince as she took in slow and labored breaths. But that still wasn't enough. Widow wasn't going to let it stop at Astrid being hurt. She wanted her broken. And, as she slammed her knee hard against Astrid's own, it would only inflict more torture on the champion!

Howling with pain, Astrid reeled back, falling to her back again. Her eyes welled up with tears, and the only thing keeping them from falling was her willpower and her single-minded determination to not show any weakness in front of Widow. Now, she was being dragged toward the corner - and as she looked up, Astrid gasped and her face went pale. It felt as though her heart stopped within her chest. Widow couldn't possibly be setting up what Astrid thought she was - taking a page out of Rose Gold's playbook in the aims of humbling the champion and cutting her low!

Astrid shook that thought out of her head. This was no time to be stunned - now more than ever, it was imperative that Astrid fight back! She growled through her teeth back at Widow as she tried to jerk her legs away. Her knee was throbbing, but Astrid would fight through the pain to maintain control. Her fingers clawed at the canvas, desperate to anchor herself and prevent herself from being dragged any further. She wasn't going to go without a fight!

There a method to Widow madness.... Why she targeted Astrid like she is right now, but those are her secrets that she rather keep with her. What she does know is she has the champion rattled and afraid, keeping her guessing on where she would strike next. All she has to do is keep at it and the title is hers for the taking.

The knee drops to the Norsewoman leg did some damage... but not enough, not wanting to copy something out of that little Idiot who calls herself an ACE, but something much more painful in mind. Something that could break the champion, and almost guaranteed her the victory.

Trying to drag Astrid over to the corner, Widow is stopped cold in her tracks due to Astrid trying to fight herself free. Gritting her teeth in annoyance as she starts to lose her grip on her opponent leg, still trying to yank and pull her to the corner.

"...Ughhhh... just accept it Astrid... you lost the moment you offered me this match.", deciding to switch it up again. Widow throws a low-kick at the back of Astrid already hurting leg.

"It my night tonight Astrid..."

Astrid wasn't the only one perturbed at the sight of Widow dragging her to the corner. After the veteran had been targeting her leg, and with the memory of Rose Gold's victory over Aoi still on the mind of many a viewer, the fans were already assuming the worst - and they were keen on letting Widow know it, as they began booing uproariously. Some did, anyway. Others were too afraid for Astrid's safety to work up the courage to make a sound!

Luckily, they were able to breathe a sigh of relief as Astrid grabbed at the canvas, steadying herself against Widow's pulls. As she twisted and turned her body from side to side, Widow's hold on her leg began to slip more and more, yielding more ground to the Norsewoman. In between gasps for breath, Astrid looked back up toward Widow, and a defiant glare crossed her face. No matter the odds, or how much Widow was going to taunt her, Astrid refused to yield her ground!

"Save your talk for the bell..." Astrid hissed back, right before Widow kicked out and drove her foot into the back of her leg! She cried out in pain, her body jerking backward as she recoiled from the strike and fell back against the mat. Already sore from Widow targeting her limb, every blow reawakened the pains she had incurred prior. Astrid didn't know how much longer she could take this...

But then again, she wasn't going to take it!

Astrid wouldn't stand by any longer and let Widow walk over her. Enough was enough, and she had to fight back, no matter how much it hurt! Her teeth clenched in a grimace, Astrid lifted her other leg off the ground, going to throw a kick straight into Widow's stomach!

Almost there..... just a bit more and that leg of hers will either give out... or worse and the title will be hers, but now her opponent is ready for any more attacks to that limb... Widow curses at herself missing the opportunity to end the match, by losing her grip and not getting Astrid over to the corner post.

Widow had the game plan set, but the old saying is everything gets thrown out the window when you get hit, as A loud grunt is heard coming from Widow lips "ARRGGHHH" forcing her back holding her stomach from the hard kick.

Even after all the work she put in targeting that limb... Astrid still has enough power to make it hurt and force Widow to retreat for now.

"Damn... Damn you... Just like that Idiot Amazon who took my title...to fucking stubborn and should know when to fucking quit.", Yelling at the woman now, but takes a deep breath to refocus herself... it not the time to rush in blindly a black widow waits for the time to strike and to kill.

Hanging back leaning against the ropes.... "Get to your feet Astrid that if you can stand on that leg of yours...", taunting mocking the Norsewoman much to the anger of the crowd booing her for all their worth, but Widow doesn't care....

"Get up or stay down like the Bitch you and your family are."

In taking back some of the control over her leg, Astrid had kept Widow from dragging her into the corner, where she no doubt would have been able to inflict more damage. But Astrid had also bought time for herself to strike back - and she was quick to seize on that opportunity! Throwing a powerful kick out toward the veteran with her good leg, she slammed her leg into Widow's gut, sending her staggering backward. Satisfied with her efforts, Astrid lifted her head to face Widow. Getting free was good. Seeing that she'd manage to break through to her seemingly inscrutable foe was even better.

"Believe me," Astrid shouted back at Widow's taunts, "when it comes to something as important as this...I wouldn't dare quit. Not for you, and not for anything!" Though she clenched her teeth against the pain, Astrid still fought to get back up. She sucked in a breath, pushing her palm against the mat to lift herself. It hurt, and her movements were slow and labored. Her muscles twitched and trembled with each inch she pulled them up. But Widow's words were echoing in her ears, and more than anything else, Astrid didn't want to let her win. She narrowed her eyes, clenching her teeth, as her fist balled tightly at her side. Widow wanted to cut her down and strike at her integrity, her pride in herself. Even if it pained her, Astrid was even more determined to prove Widow wrong!

At last, Astrid got to her feet. She teetered on an uneasy balance - but what was important was that she was up! The crowd cheered as she spread her arms, lifting her fists in triumph. For a moment, the pain seemed to fade away. All that mattered was that Astrid was beating the odds. If she could do that now...she could do it again!

"You haven't won, Widow," she called back in defiance. "I'm not going down!!"

With a grin on her face, Astrid looked down to let her gaze settle on Widow. Throwing herself closer, she raised her shoulder, looking to drive it into Widow's chest and throw her back into the corner!

Widow is a firm believer in the aura of the invincibility, to make your opponent fear you as soon as they step into the ring. Modeling her a part of her style like some of the famed heavyweight boxers she saw or managed to see in her free time, studying their posture and form to make her feared in the ring.

But She made a mistake... By leaning and hanging back allowing Astrid to stand and get the crowd behind her... Now that scared look is gone and her opponent has a look on her face, one that shows that the fight is now gonna be that much tougher.

"Fuck... I never should have let her get to her feet", Mumbling to herself seeing Astrid getting to her feet and hearing the roar of the crowd cheering her on, letting herself get to over confident in her own skills to take out a body part to her advantage. Now giving herself a much harder time having to break Astrid who now fired up.

Seeing that defiance on her opponent face Widow is caught off guard by her foe, taking a shoulder to the chest forcing her backwards "UGHHH" now forced onto her back foot stumbling into the corner not able to use her length to keep Astrid at a distance. Not wanting to get into a brawl or match power with power.

"Lucky shot...

To say that Widow had attained that aura she sought after was to state the obvious. Widow had built up a storied and fearsome reputation from her career in the ring, and while she hadn't had the longest run in the business, she surely had one of the most infamous. No one could forget what she had done, and how she had done it. Not only that, but Widow had been building up her presence in LAW and the greater wrestling world in the weeks leading up to this bout - boasting of her abilities, making threats after Astrid and her family, and all could see she was ready to deliver. From the moment she entered the ring, she was the image of confidence, fully assured in her abilities. Astrid had no doubts that she would prove more than a match for her.

But what Widow hadn't accounted for was that Astrid was always someone who challenged the odds. Even when things seemed stacked against her, Astrid only took that as a cue to push her own limits and to bring herself to prevail even when no one believed she could. Now, as she stared Widow down from across the ring, her fists coiled and her chest pushed out proudly toward her, Astrid stood defiant. If Widow would test her skills, she was even more dedicated to meet her challenge with the commitment it deserved!

The burst of cheers Astrid had won through getting to her feet was soon dwarfed by what she received next, as she threw her shoulder against Widow, throwing the veteran back against the turnbuckles! Astrid was standing up to Widow, and she was putting her in her place; each blow she landed had been thrown with all her emotions behind it. Anger, hatred, but most of all, a burning desire to prove Widow wrong!

Now that Widow had been staggered by the blow, Astrid was ready to close in on her, looking to press the advantage. Bending down, she would go to grab her around the waist, attempting to throw Widow over her shoulders and slam her headfirst into the mat for a German suplex!

"damn" Seeing and hearing the crowd roar in approval as that shoulder blow hit home it forced Widow to turn her body to cover her chest in case of another blow to the mid section. That cost her dearly on making another mistake by turning her back to her opponent who is clearly feeding on the fans to keep her going in the match.

"Fuckkk..." Feeling arms wrapped around her reaching to struggle to reach out and grab the ropes but misses, as she is lifted overhead and slammed to the mat with a German suplex! The back of her head hitting the canvas with a loud thud.

Clutching the back of her head now the image of her being not feeling pain is broken , but all the doubt that she built up inside the Norsewoman head is gone. She knows that she can take the fight to her now no matter how banged up she is, and that makes her dangerous in Widow eyes. It's easier to kill prey when their broken... It's a lot harder to kill a wounded prey cause they will fight to the end.

Not wanting to let Astrid get to much of an advantage, Widow rolls herself out of the ring using the force of the throw to roll herself out. Falling to the padded floor below planning on using the full ten count to recover. Much to the booing of the fans who know the match is starting to change, the ref coming over and starts a count....

"Oneeee!"
