Entering The Lions Den

Hinata was just now getting close to finishing her stretches before getting into the ring. She had just requested Finlay to put on some headgear, for his sake since he is looking for strike training. Hinata obviously not wanting to hurt Finlay to bad during the match. But much to her surprise Finlay declined the request to wear protective headgear. Calling it training wheels Training wheels? That is like calling airbags in a car training wheels, its meant to protect you. Shrugs Though I guess it is your choice (or hospital bill) Hinata would say to Finlay, not wanting to press on the issue.

With a sigh Hinata went to her bodyguards to ask them for something. One of them men would leave the group for a moment to retrieve something, only to come back soon after with some padded mma gloves. Putting the gloves on as she went back to Finlay, passing by him and climbing onto the ring and going between the ropes. Well, are you ready? Hinata would say as she made her way to a neutral corner.

Finlay shrugged and waved off Hinata’s concern as he leaned against the ring apron and pulled his leg up, pulling the shoe and sock off his right foot before doing the same with his other. ”I do appreciate the concern. However when I said I needed strike training I didn’t just mean in delivering but taking them as well. Protective equipment would only hamper me and make me dependent.” He said now barefoot as he walked over and retrieved hus own pair of padded gloves. “If I end up getting hurt to be it. Like I said before I knew the risks of this going into it.” He said strapping the gloves on before nodding at Hinata as he stepped unto the ring and slipped between the ropes. “I’m ready whenever you are.” He told the woman with his fists up after heading to a neutral corner, staring down the more experienced fighter with razor sharp eyes.

Finlay would give his reasoning again as to why he wouldn't wear protective headgear. His resolve showing to take the hits as they come. Despite what he said, those words would fall on deaf ears to Hinata. She's already passed it, if anything Finlay is just that much closer to getting knocked out. But he would enter the ring with Hinata and head to his own corner. Now saying he is ready for the bout to begin. The guards who were ringside were semi officiating the match would signal the start of the match.

With the match well underway Hinata would walk forward with a striking focused stance, with her left arm leading and feet firmly planted. Hinata felt that Finlay would also walk out his own corner. If he were to do so, and enter Hinata's range. As a fake Hinata would throw her left arm for a quick hook to Finlay's face. Only for the real blow to be a right hook aimed at the side of Finlay's body.

Finlay looked out of the corner of his eye to see Hinata’s henchmen on the side, apparently acting as the refs for the bout. ‘Well at least I know the officiating will be impartial.’ He thought to himself sarcastically before focusing on Hinata. With his fists up, one slightly in fromt of the other and legs spread wide he approached Hinata with narrowed eyes, watching her to try and pick up on how she’d attack. He wouldn’t have to wait long, soon she would throw the first attack, a punch aimed at his face. On instinct he ducked it but in turn walked into a feint punch to the ribs from Hinata. Gritting his teeth however he responded in kind, taking advantage of the position brought about by ducking he threw his own arm forward for a straight punch to Hinata’s gut.

Hinata came out the gates swinging already, looking to fake out Finlay with her left only to be greeted by her right fist. The blow landed cleanly but Finlay worked through the blow to throw a straight punch at Hinata's gut. Mph.. Hinata would grunt upon getting hit by Finlay. If your plan is to just power through my strikes, then this'll be over quicker than I thought Hinata said as she pushed forward getting close to Finlay, placing a her foot behind his. Planning to simply take him down with a palm strike to his chest.

Finlay watched Hinata carefully after that brief two punch exchange between the two of them. He knew that wouldn’t be all she had, and her taunt was only further proof of that. ”It’s only the start our bout don’t be so quick to judge.” He said as he felt her foot behind hus own, nwrrowing his eyes slightly he braced his feet against the mat, it wouldn’t do to trip himself now would it? As he saw her arm moving he swung his up and to the side to knock her palm away. If this worked he would attempt to throw his leg up to try and knee Hinata in the gut.

Hinata was not the type of woman to be disrespectful, not at all. Though if she was being completely honest here, Hinata was definitely taking Finlay easy. Whether or not it was showing was another matter. That being said Hinata was impressed when Finlay had blocked and counter her current plan of attack. Planting his feet, correctly and knocking her palm away. Now being so close Finlay was able to land a knee on Hinata's gut.Guh.. Hinata would grunt in pain from the knee, leaning forward a big. If I didn't know any better, you never needed the strike training Hinata said as a semi compliment.

That being said though Hinata was going to make sure she paid Finlay back for the knee. Keeping a hold of Finlay's knee after the strike, Hinata would straighten herself up and this time throw another palm strike. Hopefully knocking Finlay down since he was unbalanced, if he was ready to knock it away again. Hinata would just push her body forward onto Finlay, making him fall with Hinata on top of him.

‘If I didn’t know any better I’d say she wasn’t taking me seriously.’ Finlay thought to himself as he knocked Hinata’s palm away. ‘Big mistake.’ He thiught immediately after as he sent his knee forward into Hinata’s gut making the woman stumble and lean forward in response. Smirking slightly he kept his fists up as the woman gave him at least somewhat a compliment. ”I said striking was a weak area. Not that I was helpless.” He responded sharply to the woman in a determined tone.

However his eyes narrowed as he looked sown and saw his knee caught by Hinata. “Tch.” He said under his teeth as she reared her arm back for another palm strike. Knowing he wouldn’t have the time or footing to parry it like before he crossed his arms over his chest as her palm came smacking against his arms.

Despite it being blocked he still winced from the sharp pain that crept up his arms as a result. Worse than that however was Hinata’s momentum didn’t end at the strike. She was falling forward, pushing against him, and with only one standing leg... “Shit...!” He said under his breath as he hit the mat backfirst with Hinata right on top of his body!

And just like that, for one lesson there is more than one way to knock someone down Hinata said knowing she stated the obvious to Finlay. It was a fine display on Finlay's part to land the blows he did on Hinata. Now though Hinata was on top of Finlay as he laid on the mat. Not wanting to give Finlay any time to get his bearings, Hinata would send a hammer of her left fist down on Finlay's face. Regardless if it worked or not Hinata would follow that hammer with a right hook, aiming to get the Finlay's blind side and land on his face. Hinata being careful and wary of anything Finlay might do to get Hinata off.

Finlay grunted and even blushed lightly as felt Hinata’s toned, warm body on top of his own with little he could do about it. Grunting he raised his arms up on instinct to protect himself from a potential ground and pound. However he underestimated how creative his opponet could be with her strikes. Or rather how she delivered them. He expected a rain of blows from right above, but instead she sent a blow from around the side! ”Ugn!!!” He grunted out, his face flying to the side along with some spit, however his face soon turned again with another punch from Hinata which left him rattled and stunned.
