Black and Purple: Wisteria Khan vs Layla Colt

‘Not good. Not good at all.’ Sheena thought to hersef with gritted teeth as she squirmed in place between the corner and her opponet. She had been out maneuevered and trapped here, there wasn’t much else she could do here other than try to fight the ravenette off. However after a few moments she didn’t have too, Layla had backed off of her own accord leaving her to stumble forward slightly. But as she looked up her eyes widened seeing what her opponet was doing! Too little too late however as she soon had her opponet’s ass slamming straight into her gut forcing Sheena back into the corner before doubling over gasping for air. Pain had stunned her and the oxygen in her gut was forced from her lungs as she instinctively grabbed the top ropes to keep herself upright.

Layla felt the give of her opponent's body as she slammed her hips hard into Sheena's midsection, pasting the woman back hard against the turnbuckle. She bounced off, rolling neatly to her feet and whirling to see the results of her handiwork. The purple-clad wrestler sagged in the corner, only just holding herself up by the top ropes.

Now was not a time to take her foot off the gas. Layla darted forward, turning and wrapping an arm around Sheena's head, her back to her opponent. Wanting to get Sheena out of the corner with room to manoeuvre, she attempted to sling the woman into a snapmare to send her forward and down to the mats. If she managed it, she would try to follow up by dropping down behind Sheena and snaking her arms around the woman's neck in a sleeper hold.

Sheena groaned softly following that but bump from Layla, she wasn’t expecting it and had the wind knocked out from her as a result. But at the same time... she kinda enjoyed it. ‘God... I’m gonna end up just like Kyoko aren’t I?’ Sheena thought to herself with a light blush of embarassment. But of course her opponet was far from done with her. Feeling an arm around her neck she gasped as the purple haired girl was thrown over Layla’s body and made impact with the mat. ”Ugh!” She groaned out from the impact as she felt the same arm around her tighten to form a breathtaking choke. ‘Oh no you don’t!’ Sheena thought to herself. Despite being stunned she was far from done. Pushing her chin down she attempted to wedge it against Layla’s arm in a bid to prevent the choke from being applied to its maximum, as well as making it more and more uncomfortable for the girl behind her to keep the hold up.

Things were going well for Layla so far as she tossed her reeling opponent out of the corner with the snapmare and dove into position behind Sheena, eager to put more pressure on in the match. However, when she tried to get a hold of the woman in a sleeper hold, she found her efforts frustrated as the purple clad wrestler managed to jam her chin down to interrupt Layla's grip, stopping her from locking the hold against her opponent's throat.

She strained and squeezed for a moment, but it became quickly apparent that she wouldn't be able to get much mileage out of the attempt, and every second that passed without the sleeper being locked was a second for Sheena to recover.

With a snort of frustration, Layla released her grip, attempting to shove her opponent sideways and spring to her feet, resetting with her knees bent and waiting for her purple-clad opponent to rise and face her.

Sheena grunted and kept her chin pressed into her opponet’s arm, digging into the flesh of Layla’s pale arm to make it as difficult as possible to keep it there. It was a good way to combat a sleeper attempt without expending much energy in exchange. Which was good for her as it allowed her a chance to recover from Layla’s offense.

Soon the ravenette got frustrated and gave up on yhe submission attempt, shoving Sheena away in the process. Smirking softly as she was pushed away Sheena rolled with the momentum, a small smirk playing on her lips as she did. Putting herself up into a kneeling position she smirked back at Layla who had a less than pleased expression on her face.

”Sorry, didn’t mean to put a wedge in you’re plan.” Sheena said with a wink, adding extra emphasis on the word wedge. Making a pun out of their last exchange since she wedge her chin into Layla’s arm. She was starting to feel more relaxed and comfortable, so as a result she was starting to let out more of her personality... and in turn her love of puns.

Layla's cheeks flushed with annoyance as she was forced to release Sheena from the failed sleeper, cursing herself for not getting it locked in properly before the other woman could counter. In spite of the early control she'd gainined, Layla could already tell she was facing an opponent who knew how to handle herself in the ring.

The woman rolled to one knee to face her, smirking as she fired off a quick snap of trash talk at the black haired wrestler.

"Oh, very good," Layla snorted sarcastically, rolling her eyes at Sheena's attempted quip. Despite this minor setback, the Canadian still felt like she had control of this exchange, and she wasn't about to waste it. "Put a 'wedge' in this!"

With Sheena still on one knee, she launched herself forward, aiming a flying knee squarely at her opponent's bust.

Sheena watched her opponet carefully with hands at her sides ready to act, whether it be in defense or offense she knew she had to be ready for whatever Layla would do next. After all the dark haired girl had been in charge a majority of the first part of the match, that was something that Sheena wouldn’t and couldn’t let remain.

So watching Layla carefully she smirked ever so slightly at the slightly frustrated look she had on her face in response to her pun. ”Oh I know I am, just watch me ‘edge’ you out.” Sheena said in response as she tensed her body in preperation.

As Layla came in right for her, throwing her leg out for a running knee the girl would react. Diving to the side she would hope to avoid the knee from her opponet, if successful in this she would pop right back up onto her feet and move right in behind Layla. Throwing her arms around Layla’s waist she attempted to lock her in her grip, and if she was able to would throw herself back to try and land a german suplex on her opponet!

Layla went flying forward, hoping to keep her momentum going with a speedy attack, cheeks flushing as Sheena continued quipping her way into the match, apparently unconcerned by how things had gone so far. She raised her leg, determined to knock those smartarse remarks clean out of the purple clad girl's mouth.

However, Sheena was ready for her this time. Her foe jinked to the side, leaving Layla to swing her knee into nothing but thin air. She stumbled with a gasp of surprise and that was the window her foe had needed. Before she knew what was happening Sheena's arms were around her trim waist in a powerful grip, and the slim-framed Canadian was thrown backwards in a german suplex!

"AGHHH!" she blurted as she was slammed into the canvas by the swiftly executed reversal. Gritting her teeth, Layla tried to roll away from Sheena's grip, struggling to get to her knees before the other wrestler could capitalise.

Sheena watched as Layla moved in ever closer to her. She was sure that the Canadian native would likely be high as a kite and overconfident after having control of the early part of the match. But the lavender haired girl would be sure to make her pay for that mistake. On top of that Sheena had doubled down on the puns and quips partially just becuase she liked them, but at this point also to get in her opponets head.

After all it was clear Layla didn’t like them, so if they could help throw her off her game than she wouldncertainly keep making them. Sure enough however Layla was coming in hot and angry throwing her knee forward for a flying knee. In turn, giving Sheena the perfect chance to circle behind the dark haired girl and wrap her arms around Layla’s waist for the counter.

Throwing herself back Sheena managed to drive her opponet’s back into the mat with a perfect german suplex. Smirking a bit from Layla’s choked cry of pain she would immediately roll onto her knees as she saw Layla trying to get away. ”Oh no you don’t!” She’d say as she weny after Layla, attempting to grab the girl by the head and turn, before suddenly lurching Layla forward and over her head with a snapmare!

The impact of the German suplex left a sting in Layla's spine, but it would take more than that to really put a dent in Layla's chances in this match. She tried to scramble clear, but Sheena evidently had the same assessment of the situation, quickly following up the black-haired beauty.

She felt an arm encircle her head, forcing her upright and turning her. She flailed for an instant in an aimless struggle before Sheena tossed her into a solid snapmare!

"Unfff!" she grunted as she hit the ground, landing in a seated position. Gritting her teeth she shoved with one arm, trying to roll sideways and at least push up to one knee before the purple clad fighter could press the attack any further.
