Re: Jessica Wright vs. Yamato Nadeshiko

Jessica was trying to dodge and weave as best she could. Given how big of a target that Yamato was aiming for and how little Jessica had to maneuver, it was a hopeless task. Even if she could defray a little of the damage, she reckoned, she would be in a lot better position because those chops were coming fast and hard. Her hands moved up once more, trying to get involved in slowing down or stopping the blows which were causing all her internal organs to ring like church bells.

But that was not where it ended. That was never going to be where it ended, and Jessica knew that. As the Violent Violet was busy dodging and weaving, Yamato grabbed at her hair. Jessica was then off to the races before she was slammed down in a Running Bulldog! Her front then exploded in pain, as the chest which was just so brutally rocked now lit up with pain once more. She moaned into the mat, but the white expanse of canvas provided her with no solace.

Her opponent then rolled her over and went for a pin. Jessica was incensed. If this woman thought that this was enough to put her down for the count, then she was sorely mistaken. Just after the count of one, she kicked out with wild fury. This was far from over. And Jessica knew that she was going to be the one covering Yamato with the flag.

Where Jessica's demeanor and presence in and out of the ring reeked of dominance by physical assertion, Yamato, by contrast, had always relied on overwhelming opponents with her speed and dynamic offense. Yes despite her similar build, the Japanese Superstar was in her element when delivering this type of offense. And had she stayed in the zone, it would spell bad news for Jessica. Despite not even being in a standard match, the brunette beauty went for a pin. A gesture that only seemed to piss off the Violent Violet as she kicked out with authority, bucking Yamato clean off her person! If Jessica was this resilient to pin attempts, covering her with a flag for any duration of time was going to prove to be an arduous task!

Even with the support of the entire stadium behind Yamato's strikes and throws, Jessica wasn't overwhelmed. At least not yet. Bearing this in mind, Yamato would kip-up onto her feet. Nadeshiko was still raring to go. Of course, winning handily would be ideal, but a mental edge was always welcome. She'd remind Wright that she didn't necessarily need to keep Jessica down to win this match by racing to her corner and jumping onto the middle turnbuckle to grab hold of her nation's flag at the very top. Yamato donned the fabric like a cape before flourishing the nation's symbol and flicking it in Jessica's direction, aiming to blanket the Violent Violet with a gesture that seemed to only serve to make the angry Iowan even angrier!

Yamato approached, fully expecting Jessica to come hulk out and come at her swinging, and when she did, the brawny brunette would answer with a Standing Dropkick!

Jessica was relieved. There was no longer a presence on top of her, and Jessica could not have been more thankful to the wrestling gods far above for that. She could breathe easy now. Well, in a way. Yamato had gotten her nice and pissed off, so her breathing was mostly the short shallow breathing of a bull right before it charged straight at whatever poor sop that had the misfortune to be in the way. Her strong kick up gave Jessica the momentum to get up to her feet and watch as Yamato scrambled up the turnbuckle. The woman had the audacity to wear her flag like a cape. Jessica stalked forward, eyeing Yamato the whole time.

Then she came, flying off the turnbuckle like the spear of Zeus from Mount Olympus. Before she even knew what was happening her instincts had taken over, and one foot moved over to the side. Soon, she was facing parallel with her opponent. Both arms hooked under, as Jessica attempted to pluck Yamato right from the air!

If she were able to get her, she would let one arm go so that Yamato's head swung down, and then go for a quick pile driver right there. The Japanese woman was not thinking of such a rapid change in fortune, Jessica guessed.

Whether it was brilliant fighting sense or a lucky guess, Jessica's instincts did her well in this sudden gambit. With a quick catch and transition, the Irate Iowan was able to turn Yamato's dropkick into a Piledriver! She spiked Nadeshiko's head off the canvas and silenced the mass of cheers filling the stadium! With a quick motion, Jessica halted her foe's momentum. Yamato rolled to her side and held the back of her head with both hands. The flag adorning her was cast aside, disheveled into a ball a couple feet away! Yamato anticipated a strike. In her mind's eye, the Violent Violet had lashed out like the brawling brute that she was. But in this moment, Jessica brought to light that although she fought with a violent, physical, sometimes unrefined style that contracted Yamato's own, she was still very much a wrestler. And this wrestler created a big opportunity for herself in this match-up!

Yamato would try to roll onto all fours. The frustration of having predicted her opponent incorrectly along with the headache she was feeling now were not doing her any favors. She had to get up. She had to re-establish control. She had to put this gaijin in her place. At least that's what she told herself as she began to scramble up to her feet perhaps a little too hastily. Fan support and nationalistic pride were certainly huge motivators. But it was becoming more and more apparent to Nadeshiko that she'd need more than passion and drive to keep Jessica down and out beneath the flag of the land of The Rising Sun.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Yamato Nadeshiko

The hair on the back of her neck was standing up as she went through with the move. Yamato was a spear flying at her with the force of a thousand suns, and Jessica knew it would require flawless timing. There would be some requirement of gusto, but Jessica had more than enough of that. The second that she felt Yamato hit her arms she knew that she had it. She could not help but let loose a wry smile as she went through the rest of the move, culminating in her spiking Yamato's head on the mat.

She watched Yamato's body flop to the mat on her knees, her long arms dangling down to the mat. Her head was tilted up in a haughty, almost mocking fashion as the crowd's noise grew quieter and then stopped completely. She looked out at them for a second, wondering what it was like to have your heroine's brain bashed in on national TV. Then she remembered her dad. And how he didn't even make it to national TV. And how all his failures pushed her to wrestle harder and harder still.

Her eyes roamed back over to Yamato, struggling to clamber up. She would not allow such a thing to happen. The Violent Violet moved to sidle in behind Yamato, and wrap her arms around the Japanese woman's waist. From there, she would go over and back for a German suplex. She wasn't sure if she had that much German ancestry, but she knew that if you put all of your power into this move, it hurt like a bitch.

Like anyone Jesicca certainly had her own motivation, goals, and rationale for her actions. And in Yamato's mind, each and every single one of them could hit the curb just like Jess, herself. If only her mind hadn't been momentarily scrambled just now. The Japanese Superstar began rising. Her frame sweat with an undying indignation. The brunette middleweight turned her head left and right, scouring the ring for the face of the woman pissing her off. She cursed under her breath in her native tongue as Jessica revealed her presence behind her, grabbing hold of her toned, compact frame from behind! Yamato let out a yelp as the Iowan put some real force into throwing her backwards and across the ring with a German Suplex!

"Ooooh!" Nadeshiko cried. She'd find herself near the corner, once again racing to get back to a vertical base in from of the turnbuckle. If Wright rushed her, Yamato was prepared to lift her boot to punish it. Though if she guessed wrong and Jessica feinted or did something else, she'd likely find herself in yet another world of hurt, struggling to fight on par with the expectations of her people!

Jessica came crashing down with Yamato in hand. The German suplex was one of her favorite moves, and it was a powerful one. After she landed, she turned around to seize upon her advantage to find that Yamato had scrambled away. Jessica was cursing herself for letting her Japanese opponent get so close to the turnbuckle, but there was precious little she could do about it now. The suplex could have put her in a situation where she might have been proactive, as opposed to reactive, but the situation had passed her by. She snarled a bit as she saw Yamato perched atop there, and devised a plan to get her off.

The Violent Violet approached Yamato, but was warded off with a sharp kick. That made her falter back, and made her question her plan of attack. Her purple eyes peered up at the superstar, and a strategy came together as quickly as it was enacted. Jessica rushed forward and leaped into the air, leading with her shoulder. It was time to knock Yamato off her high horse, both literally and figuratively. If the Violent Violet was able to get in there before Yamato struck first, she would send the both of them spilling outside the ring!

Yamato fell back on her instincts, aiming to ward Jessica off and rethink her gameplan. The moment she felt the sole of her boot hit flesh, she grabbed hold of the top ropes and pulled herself up, sitting on the top turnbuckle, ready to storm Jessica from the skies once more! But Jessica came back just as quickly as she staggered. Wright was just as stubborn and ornery as any bull or bison from the Midwest. The moment Nadeshiko affixed her gaze back on Jessica, the Violent Violet was already throwing herself in her direction full-tilt! Instead of lining up her sights on her purple-haired target, Yamato would find herself eating the brunt of Jess' shoulder tackle and falling off her perch to the outside of the ring!

As sudden and jarring as the impact was, most od the noise and reactions came from the fans in the front row rather than from Nadeshiko, herself. Despite being forced onto the defensive, she had brought her arms up to block in the nick of time! Once her upper body was jostled back and she began to fall, she was able to begin torquing her legs and torso to begin prepping for the inevitable fall! Yamato could scrap but she had always been an innately talented aerialist, executing the teachings of her mentors and partners with scarily impressive aptitude! She'd fall on all fours, minimizing the impact. Yamato would raise her head and survey Jessica, hoping that this time the American archenemy's rashness worked against her this time around!

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Yamato Nadeshiko

Jessica was not one who took to the skies easily. She was 141 pounds of corn-fed Iowan fury, and most of the fighting that she did was on the ground for a reason. She was way better on her feet, and that is where she generated all of her offense from. Seeing Yamato up there though, she simply could not resist. The Violent Violet had flung herself into the air like a missile. The only thing was, with a plan like that, there was no going bat. Her first disappointment came in the fact that Yamato managed to mitigate some of the blow by cobbling a defense together in short order. Jessica did not like that one bit.

Jessica's second disappoint came when she realized that she was plummeting down to the earth. The Violent Violet did not have much of a gameplan other than try and do as much damage as possible, and so the stunning lack of foresight she displayed was thrust into her face. She flailed a little bit on the way down, for all the good that it did her.

She did manage to get her hands up in time so that her face didn't hit the concrete. That might have been the only good news, as Jessica lay on the ground. She had dealt with the concrete many times before, usually landing on her feet after tossing someone out of the ring. But this time, she was facedown, moaning in pain.

Re: Jessica Wright vs. Yamato Nadeshiko

Yamato didn't come down to the ring tonight to outwit Jessica. The arrogant American had made this personal. And while the so-called "Perfect" woman normally considered strategy in her matches, all that went out the window the moment the bell rang tonight. But all that by no means meant that Nadeshiko was above capitalizing on Wright's mistakes! Even as she was knocked off her perch and to the outside, Yamato managed to make her descent look somewhat graceful. She looked up to see her opponent on the ground. It was right then and there that Yamato realized that just like Jessica's bogus promo suggested, she had little intelligence to speak of in and out of the ring.

"BAKA!" She cried out as she rose up and placed a hand on her hip, standing regally over Jessica just as she had earlier in the ring. While in this power stance, the audience always rallied behind her, for they knew it always meant that high-octane offense was coming! Yamato ran backwards, skillfully scaling the ring's apron with a single leap and putting distance between herself and Jess. She'd turn towards her floored for and measure her. Her hand outstretched towards the Iowan in anticipation of the impact she was looking to bring! When Jessica began to leave the ground, Yamato would dash forwards, dashing down the apron before leaping and kicking up with her leading leg! Yamato would soar through the air with a backflip, aiming to bring Jessica back down to the harsh concrete and barely padded mats outside the ring with a Shooting Star Press from the apron! If the high-flying move hit, the Japanese crowd in attendance would pop and Yamato would roll forward, picking up momentum as she dashed to the barricade and then back again to follow up with a Basement Dropkick to finish the combo and take control once again!

Sticking it out and waiting for Jess to make mistakes may have very well been the path toward victory in this match. But it directly conflicted with Nadeshiko's desires to just beat this woman down straight-up like she deserved. It would remain to be seen how things would unfurl, but even as Yamato got the best of Jessica, not getting to do it in her exact preferred way still annoyed her....
