Once the cheers for Yang died down, the theme music of the L.A.W. newcomer would blast through the stadium. Given that Mika was a fresh faced individual here, she had not the kind of vocal reaction. Still as the curtain figuratively raised and Mika came out the spotlight shinned on the energetic lightweight as she struck a "V for victory" pose on stage while she gazed upon the capacity crowd.
Mika would move with a spring to her step, running through the entrance ramp as she slid under the bottom rope and flipped up flashing a bright cheerful smirk and peace signs around before her gaze fell upon Yang. Her face switched to a more serious and intense gaze as she moved to the corner opposite her bigger opponent ready for the action to begin. Spoiler
As the cheering died down the audience prepared themselves for the next wrestler. As Mika made her announcement she made her way to the ring. Yang herself was dumbfounded Wait... You have to be kidding me right? This has to be some joke Yang said out loud. Here she was going to go up against the kid she found backstage.
But no one was saying anything so maybe this is definitely happening. Yang only sighed in disappointment as she looked at Mika. I sure hope you don't end up regretting this kid Yang said plainly as she waited in her corner.
Mika scoffed at Yang's comment though it only served to further light the competitive fire in her belly as she was eager and waiting in her own corner as she was quick to retort. "Trust me, only one with anything to regret is you. I'll make you eat those words before this is over."
The referee would check both sides to see if they were ready, and once she felt she was satisfied she would ring the bell as the match would officially begin as Mika moved from her corner in a crouched, grapple position waiting to see what Yang would do first.
Yang sighed at her opponent's response. Honestly looking down on her oppoent. Since everything said that Yang should win easily. At least in her mind, but who would tell her otherwise. I mean look at her. Not much she could do now but put this kid to bed and go home.
As the referee checked the both of them the match started. Mika started with a low grappling stance. Even lower considering how short she was. Yang true to her word wanted to end this quick and pressed forward. Yang did so in a boxing stance true to her nature and throw a wide hard right hook to Mika's face
Mika's eyes widened as Yang seemed to come out swinging, in the most literal sense as the larger woman went for a right hook aiming to try and knock her head off in one go. However, while this quick action shocked Mika just with the suddenness of it all she was not at all unprepared for it and responded in kind.
Mika would duck under the fist, easy enough given her shorter stature, and in a seamless transition hooked her legs around Yang's ankle; aiming to use the blonde's forward momentum along with a twist of her own to try and drop her with a sudden counter drop toe hold.
Yang was definitely trying to knock Mika's head off her body. Aye might as well end this match quick and early. Probably be easier for the both of them. Though Yang was not expecting Mika to be quick on her feet.
Next thing Yang knew Mika was playing to her "small" strengths and use Yang's own momentum against her. Taking her down to the ground, applying a quick toe hold. Whoa might give this girl some credit Yang said in the hold. Not wanting to stay in it any longer, Yang would try beat Mika's stomach in since she wasn't moving. Yang would send quick and strong blows to Mika's stomach.
Mika managed to take Yang down, and while the bigger blonde was stunned she was just as quick to strike as she tried to strike with some blows as Mika adjusted but a couple glancing shots hit her side.
"Ow! Agh!" Mika cursed, as her lighter frame meant blows like that hurt more, even if they didn't fully connect, but the deceptive grappler would grab at Yang's wrist and, while she is down, tried to apply a counter armbar to stretch out one of those dangerous limbs.
Yang was all about dishing out the pain. But it was kinda hard to dish out pain in her current position. Mika was definitely showing off her strengths to everyone. With Yang getting it shown firsthand, luckily for her it looked like some of the body blows did hurt Mika.
But that only made Mika aware of what Yang was good at. Trying to neutralize that she would get a hold of Yang's wrist and try to apply a counter armbar. Not wanting to lose her arm, Yang with her free arm would grab on to the one Mika was focusing on. Pulling against her so that the hold would not be locked in. Knowing the strength difference here, Yang was sure to keep Mika from the hold. If Mika were so stubborn to keep the hold, Yang would try to get in a position where she can get herself up. If all went accordingly, Yang would be getting up and once she was up. Slamming Mika right on the mat.
Indeed Mika seemed stubborn, and while she lacked power she aimed to make up the difference with her techniques; not only pulling on the clasped arm with her body and arms in toe, but using her hands to twist at one of Yang's arms to apply an arm "burn" effect to try and wear down her defensive guard. Whatever success this had seemed to come too late as Mika realized she was being lifted up which caused her eyes to widen.
Oh...
...shit!
Mika groaned as her two personalities realized too late to stop it as she was slammed down which forced the lightweight to break the hold and on instinct rolled a bit by the ropes to get space before Yang could pounce while she tried to recover quickly.
Whew, okay crisis averted Yang told herself as she took a big sigh. With a nasty move like the armbar, Yang could've lost just then. Luckily she got herself out of it in time and was able to send the lightweight packing. Now Yang was moving her arm in a circle to get the lingering pain removed. You sure are dangerous aren't you? asking Mika as Yang made her way to her.
Hopefully Mika would still be hurt by getting slammed the way she did. If she was Yang would try to make Mika stand up and possibly throw her into an open corner. If that worked Yang would run to the corner and hopefully tackle Mika in the corner.
