Megumi Mutoh vs. Katori Kimura - Reunion of Angels

Disengaging from her opponent, Megumi would focus on regaining her composure as she would look at Katori before her. Then, she saw Katori closing in before she was struck at her shin twice. "Nghh!!" Megumi winced, but she would not look away from Katori who threw a punch aimed to her face. This time, she would duck under her attack, with Katori's fist hitting the strands of her hair instead.

With her leaning forward, Megumi would try to take advantage of this by rushing forward, looking to ram her shoulder into Katori's midsection, hoping to knock her down with a spear. While she didn't pick enough momentum to make the spear more powerful, she was hoping that it was enough to take her fellow Angel down. She needed to make sure that her opponent was on her back so that she could carry out her next move.

So far, the Wrestle Angels appear to be in a stalemate, with Katori and Megumi trying to outdo the other at the start of the match. With the former trying to show how much she improved by overpowering her colleague early in the match and ride it out in her favor from there. But it seems Katori wasn't the only one who kept up with their training, as Megumi showed she wasn't rusty either. After breaking the lock-up, Katori tried to land a strike combo, she was successful with landing the kicks, but the punch missed as Megumi ducked under it.

The next thing Katori knew, she felt herself being tackled in the abdomen by Megumi who did a quick Spear to bring the Mighty Successor down! "Oof! Ughh.." She let out as she was hit and landed on the mat back first with Megumi on top of her. Due to the lack of distance and charge for the move, while it still hurt, the Spear wasn't as effective as it usually would be so Katori was not completely stunned by it.

Katori would shake her head a few seconds after and start to struggle underneath Megumi, she knew that she was up to something and didn't want to find out. Katori would buck her hips and shoot a hand to Megumi's face and shoulder in an effort to try and push her off of her, if unable to do so then Megumi would be able to take advantage of the successor of Mighty Yukiko's position.

Taking Katori down with a spear, Megumi planned to maintain her position to start peppering her opponent's face with forearm strikes, but before she could do that, she was shoved off of her opponent's body, and she ended up falling onto her butt. But she was still fresh early in this match, so she would try to keep up with her momentum, grabbing onto Katori's body and pulling her back up onto her feet as she would also get herself back onto her feet as well.

"Take this!" Megumi yelled as she would then rear her right arm back before attempting to hit Katori at her face with a forearm smash. She wanted to leave her fellow former Wrestle Angel reeling from the strike in preparation for her next attack.

At the same time, Chigusa was watching the match from the corner, watching the battle between Megumi and Katori carefully. She knew that sooner or later, a match between herself and Katori might be arranged in the future, and she wanted to see how much Katori could do in the ring. Watching this match would certainly give her some insight about how she fought.

So far, Katori was mostly on the receiving end of the hits of this match. Megumi was not letting up at all, it was great to see her colleague also improved as well. But this wasn't a good time to compliment her fellow angel, as Katori needs to try and pin those wings down for the count.

After she managed to pushed her brunette opponent off of her before she could do anything, Katori tried to push herself up after getting into a seated position. Although it seems that Megumi still wanted to press her offensive on the Mighty Successor as she grabbed her and was forced back to her feet, grunting and clenching her teeth as she was brought back up while looking dead on at her opponent, she wasn't going to be a punching bag for her, and this early no less!

Once Megumi cried out and threw that arm at Katori, she was going to turn this around. She will quickly bring up her arms to catch Megumi's, stopping the Forearm Smash attempt, but she wasn't done here. Katori will immediately pull Megumi in and bring a leg up to knee her in the abdomen again, but this time she'll follow up right away with a hard Headbutt when she doubles over, wincing slightly as she does it.

For the finale, while her fellow angel is reeling from the Headbutt, the Mighty Successor will twist and turn around while still gripping on Megumi's arm and pull on it to attempt to throw the woman over herself with an Over the Shoulder Arm Drag maneuver! After that she'll release Megumi's arm then try to follow up with a hard stomp on her chest!

Megumi attempted to hit Katori with a forearm smash, but the younger Angel managed to catch her arm, stopping the attack. Megumi would try to pull her arm back, but Katori went for a knee strike to her abdomen, causing her to double over, losing a little bit of air from her lungs. "Guhh!!!" And then, while Megumi was winded, Katori followed up her attack with a headbutt, smashing her forehead against Megumi's. "Aaghhh!!!"

Reeling from the headbutt, Megumi was left a little disoriented, allowing Katori to throw her over her shoulder with an arm drag. Megumi winced as she landed on her back, and added with her aching head, things didn't look too good for the Combat Genius. As she was writhing on the mat, she then took a stomp into her chest, leaving her vulnerable before her junior.

"Ughhhh!!!"

Momentarily stunned and vulnerable, Megumi would try to at least roll over to her side, hoping to make it difficult for Katori to deal more damage on her. At the same time, she would try to recover from everything that she had taken so that she could bring the fight back, showing her opponent that she was still far from done.

Katori has finally managed to turn the tables against Megumi and open a window for her to take charge, having did a combo that left the brunette flat in pain on the mat right before her feet. Which the Mighty Successor made sure to keep her down there after stomping on her chest. She knew this wasn't enough to keep Megumi down, but this was the perfect chance to turn the match into her favor and ride on for the win.

Seeing the Combat Genius roll onto her side, Katori couldn't help but smirk over how easier her colleague made this window for her. Katori will throw another kick at the downed Megumi at her shoulder, forcing her to roll over onto her front with her back facing upwards.

"Now it's my turn!"

From there, the Mighty Successor will step over Megumi, facing her head as she reaches down to grab her shoulders and lift up her upper body. Katori will first drag Megumi like this so they will be in the center of the ring, away from the ropes, as she then takes a seat on her fellow angel's butt and drapes her arms over her thighs before pulling back on Megumi's chin, putting her in a basic but painful Camel Clutch submission hold! "How's this feel, Megumi-san?!"

Megumi tried to push herself back, but a kick from Katori to her shoulder sent her back onto the mat, chest first. "Aughh!!" Her brow creased up into a scowl as she tried her best to fight through the pain that she experienced at the moment. She tried to regain her bearing and clarity, but her position at the moment put her in a vulnerable position before the younger Angel.

And then, Katori proceeded to step over her, reaching down to grab her shoulders and drag her towards the center of the ring. Right after that, she put herself onto Megumi's butt, sitting on it before she went to drape her arms over her thighs and reach down to her chin, putting her into a camel clutch submission hold.

"Aahhh!!!" Megumi cried out as her body began to feel the strain from the submission hold. But she wasn't one to be easily defeated as her mind started racing. "Nghhhh... n-not bad, b-but... I-I'm not done yet!" Megumi exclaimed as she would begin moving her lower body, her legs moving in her attempt to press her knees against the canvas, hoping to give herself a solid ground where she could try lifting Katori up, however difficult that might be before attempting to throw her to the side, breaking the submission hold altogether.

It was payback time, and the Mighty Successor wanted to pay Megumi back in full and then some here and now as Katori dragged the brunette to the center of the ring and put her in a Camel Clutch submission hold! To be honest, it felt comfy, sitting on top of her colleague like this while working her body to stretch her out. It made the angel wonder how Chigusa would feel like to her when she did the same thing to her. Which was something Katori eagerly wanted to do after the match with Megumi was over.

But Katori kept her focus entirely on Megumi, wanting to make full effective use of this submission to keep the match in her favor. However, she soon feels herself and Megumi shifting, noticing that they were rising up! Looking back, Katori sees her opponent using her legs to push them upward, recognizing it as an attempt to throw the Mighty Successor off of her. It wouldn't be long until Katori couldn't keep the Camel Clutch up for much longer, so with one single move, she will lean and pull back on Megumi's chin with everything she has to inflict more pain to her fellow angel's back and chin to wear her down until finally being forced to let go as Katori releases and steps off Megumi.

"Wow, Megumi-san. You truly are no joke, just like back in Wrestle Angels." Katori says as she backs away from Megumi, putting some space between them before resuming. All the while, Katori will look towards Chigusa and give her a playful wink then returning her sights on Megumi while putting her arms up to raise her guard.

Megumi grunted as Katori continued yanking her head back in the camel clutch even as she tried to lift her up on her back. Eventually, Katori released her from the hold and stepped off, leaving Megumi with pain around some parts of her body. Still, the Combat Genius wouldn't let that stop her as she would push herself back up, grunting a little as she would get herself back onto her feet, trying to ignore the pain around her neck and back that her opponent had inflicted on her earlier.

"Ugh... heh, you have seen nothing yet," Megumi responded to Katori's words as she would get herself into position, taking a stance. Katori seemed to shooting Chigusa, who was at the corner, a wink, and the green-clad former Wrestle Angel gave her a friendly wave. Meanwhile, Megumi was prepared to launch herself forward before she broke into a sprint, looking to close the distance between the two of them as if trying to grab onto Katori's body.

But as she got closer, Megumi would lower her body, ducking as she would try to hook her arm under Katori's leg, hoping to yank at said leg and bring her down onto the mat. She was planning to quickly transition this into a kneebar, stretching at her leg and causing pressure around her knee in order to weaken her even more.

Katori was up and waiting for Megumi to get back up after enduring a Camel Clutch from the blunette, she could've pressed the advantage there and then, but she wasn't like that and let her fellow WA colleague get back up. Even if it will bite her in the ass down the line, Katori was all about fairness and wanted to see more of how Megumi improved over the years.

Seeing the girl back on her feet, Katori smirked and raised her arms up in a stance to get ready for whatever it is Megumi has in mind for her. But she did notice Chigusa give her a friendly wave in the corner of her eyes. After hearing what Megumi said, Katori braced herself and widened her stance, until seeing the woman full on sprint towards her! This unexpected tactic made the Mighty Successor's eyes widen in surprise, but she wasn't thrown off and was ready for it. As Megumi runs towards her, Katori will take a few more steps back to prep herself for the grapple attempt, only to see it wasn't the one she thought it was.

Instead of throwing her arms around her body, Megumi ducked and hooked Katori's legs and yanked them from under her! "Wha?! Whoa!! Oof!" Katori yelped as she dropped onto her butt and back, completely baffled by being thrown off guard with that surprise maneuver. But she wasn't given time to process that as Megumi immediately went for a Kneebar submission hold, pulling Katori's leg to the side and wrapping her own legs around it and stretching it out! "A-ahhhhh...!!" Katori let out as Megumi worked her leg over in the submission.
