Svetlana thought she had Shira where she wanted her until a knee strike smashed Svetlana's mid-section! "Oomph!" Svetlana shouted. "Okay then... lets do this!"
Svetlana and Shira's arms where tied up, and Svetlana struck back again, if Shira wanted to trade knee strikes until one of them dropped to their knees doubled over so be it!

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
"Gak!.." All Shira's retaliatory knee achieved was provoke another one into her gut. As such, she swapped tactics and instead kicked at Svetlana's legs, trying to knock her off balance. Should that succeed, Killswitch would break the collar and elbow while at the same time, thrusting her boot right into the purplette's midsection and knock her away. From there, Shira would wipe the sweat from her forehead and breathe out an uneasy sigh before she readied herself for another go.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Svetlana landed a hard knee and reset. The kick to her legs did knock her off balance a bit but Svetlana quickly recovered and stepped back while keeping hold of Shira. As the abdomen kick came Svetlana stumbled back again but kept hold of Shira's arm, twisting and falling to send Shira to the mat with an arm drag as she fell back. Svetlana was going to try to keep control of that arm the entire time as well hoping to transition to an arm bar! She knew Shira would counter and dodge, she was doing all she could to keep hold and press an advantage when she could at the moment to wear down the smaller woman.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Shira's eyes widenned when her attempt to dislodge her opponent's grapple utterly failed, instead finding her own body hurled forward and tossed onto the mat. Stress pumping through her veins, she caught Svetlana in the midst of transitioning into an arm bar and hastily moved counteract such a manoeuvre; she rolled with the momentum and tried to clasp both hands together in a classic counter to the arm bar, bicep's flexing as she struggled against her foe.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Svetlana cursed under her breath, the arm bar attempt blocked. She let go and rolled back rising to her feet. She hoped to surprise Shira and immediately jumped up extending her legs for a dropkick to the chest of the rising wrestler. This was either going to connect and send Shira on her back or Svetlana was going to miss and end up in a very compromised position! It was risk she was willing to take this early on though...

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Shira mirrored her opponent's movements and also rolled backwards onto her feet, instantly adopting her fighting posture as she did so. Although the sight of Svetlana relentlessly attacking yet again shocked Killswitch, the sheer panic guided her arms to wrap around one of the purplette's legs and catch her out of the air. From there, Shira spun her body around and fell to the ground, executing an improvised dragon-leg screw. Should everything go according to plan, she would then decide to back off once again and re-prepare for another go.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
To say that this backfired spectacularly was an understatement. Svetlana not only had her surprise attack dodged but she herself was sent crashing hard to the mat! "Ugh!" She groaned as she landed loudly, rolling and laying on her back as she then sat up. Shira just reset again and was waiting. Svetlana hated this. She was known for technique and this woman made her feel like a hapless rookie all over again. Like nothing she worked for would matter.
Svetlana moved back in and attempted to grapple one more time hoping to get Shira in a headlock so she could squeeze away while sending a few hard punches to her trapped face. She had to try to stun this woman and if that meant getting nasty she was going to try even if she didn't want to. She just didn't want to feel embarrassed anymore.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Yet again, Svetlana's tenacity caught Shira offguard and this time, she faltered. She grappled with the other woman but she just powered through, literally pushing Killswitch back before ensnaring her in a headlock. Her instincts kicked in; squatting her legs and bracing to at least stop herself from being driven to the mat. At the same time, she raised both of her arms, one to protect her face and the other clasping and pulling at Svetlana's forearm to alleviate the squeeze. Although Shira blocked the incoming blows, her predicament had her chest wheezing as anxiously breathed in and out.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Svetlana grit her teeth, she had Shira and wanted to go to the mat while having the edge. She spun keeping hold of Shira's head with a headlock takeover. Upon landing Svetlana was already trying to transition into a better, more painful hold. She let go and tried to spin Shira over while trapping an arm, reaching to her chin. Svetlana was trying as quickly as she could to transition to an STF and pull back, but her opponent had proven quite slippery already. She had to be perfect to achieve her goal.

Re: Svetlana vs. Shira: Technical Battle
Shira gasped as she felt a tug pull her neck and her feet left the ground. "Urk!" The next moment, her back slammed against the ground courtesy of Svetlana's headlock takeover. She then wrapped her arms around a dazed Killswitch's neck and yanked back, drawing grunts out of her throat. But before the STF could fully be applied, she dragged her knees across the canvas and brought her shins up to her belly.
And with this newfound fulcrum, she kicked out with both her legs and attempted to flip the both of them onto their backs. Should this dislodge the STF, she would then throw her head backwards and hopefully bash her skull into Svetlana's surprised face. After which, she again kicked her legs up to perform a backwards roll onto her feet where she can beat a hasty retreat and recover.
