Re: Untamed and Unforgiven: Cassandra Williams vs. Bengal

Bengal's eyes widened with genuine surprise this time, as Cassandra ducked out of the way of her kick. The Tiger stomped her heel down on the canvas, trying her best to stop her forward momentum and twist around. But just as she turned to face Cassandra, the Lioness plowed into her with a savage clothesline, flipping the Indian woman through the air like a crash test dummy.

She landed on her elbows and knees with a jarring impact, springing back to her feet with a sharp exhale of breath - only to be caught with another clothesline as her opponent pinballed off the ropes once more. This time, Bengal landed on the back of her head, tumbling backward with her legs pitching through the air. Her head spun dizzily as she lurched back to her feet, but again, she was too slow. Cassandra smashed her in the back of the neck with a third and final clothesline, driving the Tiger into the canvas face-first.

Bengal moaned and clutched her bruised jaw, as the crowd celebrated Cassandra's sudden comeback. The Tiger raised herself into a tripod position with one arm, but didn't yet have the strength to stand. Whatever her opponent had planned next, she would have to try and counter it from the mat.

Cassandra’s chest heaved as she stared down at the floored Tiger, her heart pounding in rhythm with the roaring crowd. Her scratches still burned, her shoulder throbbed from the earlier bite—but in that moment, she didn’t feel the pain.

She felt momentum.

The kind that turned tides. The kind that reclaimed pride.

She took a step back, eyes never leaving Bengal’s form as the other woman stirred on the mat, trying to get her bearings. Cassandra knew the Tiger was dangerous even down low—but this was her window. Her moment.

She pivoted and took off for the ropes again, her boots hammering the canvas. As she rebounded, her muscles tensed, and she launched herself into the air.

Her legs whipped out in front of her as she attempted to aim a Dropkick, squarely for Bengal’s jaw!

Worn down by the repeated clotheslines she'd taken, Bengal didn't even see Cassandra's dropkick coming. Even if she had, the furious speed of the Lioness would have made her attack almost impossible to dodge. The Pride Leader's boot smashed into the side of her face like a battering ram, and her vision seemed to flicker for a moment, as if the lights in the arena had suddenly lost power.

Bengal rolled limply across the mat, propelled by the sheer force of Cassandra's kick. She came to a rest in a prone position and tried to raise herself up on her quavering limbs, only to flop back down again with a cry of pain. The Lioness had seized control of the match, leaving the Tiger potentially vulnerable to a pinfall or submission!

Cassandra didn’t waste a second. Her body ached, her vision was hazy, but she knew she had Bengal rocked—and maybe, just maybe, this was her chance.

She dropped onto the Tiger’s chest, sweat-slick skin pressing against her opponent as she hooked a leg tightly. Her bicep trembled as she forced Bengal’s knee in close, her back screaming from the strain as the ref slid into position.

"ONE…!"

As the referee's palm slapped down for the one-count, Bengal moaned and began to stir faintly. When the hand came down again with a shout of "TWO!" those stirrings turned into thrashings, and the moan built into a panicked cry. "nnNnYyYAAAGH! NO!" the Tiger screamed, thrusting her shoulder up off the mat. She felt her sweat-slick abs glide across Cassandra's back as her body twisted, breaking the pin.

"No Fall! Two-count!" the official declared. Bengal rolled herself onto her side, panting, trying to hide the furious flush spreading across her cheeks. She wasn't sure which embarrassed her more: the near fall, or her sudden loss of composure. Either way, she had to find a way to strike back, though her exhausted state would make that difficult. She had to buy herself some time to recover first.

She might let her guard down if she thinks I'm still out, the Tiger thought to herself. Keeping her eyes half-closed, she watched her opponent through the cover of her thick lashes, looking for an opening to strike.

Cassandra let out a sharp exhale as the referee’s hand slapped down for the second count—only for Bengal to break free. The Lioness rolled off her opponent with a growl, briefly running a hand through her damp hair, eyes narrowing.

Cassandra could feel the rhythm of the match shifting—but whether in her favor or not, she couldn’t be sure. Sweat trickled down her brow as she loomed over Bengal, who was still reeling from the last flurry of attacks. The crowd’s cheers rang in her ears, a chaotic mix of encouragement and tension.

Gritting her teeth, Cassandra reached down and grabbed a handful of Bengal’s hair, yanking the Tiger up to her feet.

"Get up..."

she muttered under her breath, wrapping an arm around Bengal’s and preparing to send her flying.

With a firm step forward, Cassandra twisted her hips and attempted to whip Bengal across the ring, aiming to rebound her into something big—maybe a power move to finally turn the tide for good.

She didn’t know if it would work. But she couldn’t afford to hesitate. Not now.

Bengal reeled across the ring drunkenly, trying to catch her breath. She felt the elastic ropes catch her weight and send her rebounding back to the other side of the ring, where Cassandra waited with a predatory gleam in her eyes. Like her opponent, Bengal could sense that this moment was a critical juncture in the match - and she knew that if the Lioness landed another big move, things could be over very quickly.

She had to stop that from happening. As her opponent's face came into sharper focus, Bengal felt her sense of balance returning to her. She summoned all her strength into her legs and launched herself upward into a jumping knee strike, combining the momentum from the whip with her own striking power! If she could manage a reversal here, she'd soon be back on top, where she belonged.

Cassandra’s confident smirk twisted into a gasp the instant Bengal’s knee crashed into her jaw. The impact rocked her head back violently, sending a spray of sweat into the air. Her body recoiled but didn't fall — instead, she staggered backward a few steps, arms flailing slightly as she fought to stay upright. Her legs felt suddenly heavy, her vision swam, and for a few dazed seconds, the Lioness wasn’t sure which way was forward.

A stunned breath escaped her lips as she blinked hard, trying to clear the stars from her eyes. Her knees bent slightly, instinctively lowering her stance for balance — but her guard was wide open.

The crowd’s roar shifted from confident cheers to anxious cries, sensing the momentum teetering in the balance. Cassandra was still on her feet… but vulnerable. And Bengal was right there in front of her.

Bengal felt a jolt run through her leg as her knee strike hit its mark. Her legs ached, as much from the strain of the jump as from the force of the impact, but she managed to land elegantly nevertheless, before twisting around to face her opponent once more. Cassandra was still standing, but she looked confused, unsure of herself. The Lioness' guard faltered for a moment, and Bengal's azure eyes narrowed to hungry slits. This was the opportunity she'd been waiting for.

She pounced forward yet again, but this time, she didn't have any strikes planned. Instead, she twisted around Cassandra's reaching arms and danced behind her opponent's back. Before the Lioness could react, Bengal had wrapped her own arm around her opponent's exposed neck, pulling her into a floatover DDT! If she was successful, she'd spike the other woman into the canvas headfirst, likely aggravating the head injuries Cassandra had already suffered. Like any good hunter, Bengal knew how to target her prey's weak spots - and that's exactly what she was planning to do here.

Cassandra had barely taken a breath when she felt Bengal's body twist behind her—too fast, too smooth. Her instincts flared, but her reactions were a half-step too slow. The next thing she knew, an arm coiled tight around her neck, yanking her off-balance and forward. Her boots skidded briefly across the canvas before gravity took over.

CRACK!

Her head was driven brutally into the mat with the floatover DDT, the sound echoing through the arena like a gunshot. A sharp, blinding pain erupted from the crown of her skull and rippled down her spine. The impact was so jarring, so violent, it left Cassandra sprawled flat on her back—arms splayed out, chest heaving.

Her eyes fluttered behind half-lidded lashes, unfocused and glassy. Her breath came in ragged gasps, her lips slightly parted, and sweat poured down her temples as she blinked rapidly, struggling to stay conscious. The lights above seemed to swirl and dim, as if the arena itself were tipping sideways.

The Lioness looked completly dazed and devastated.
