A Redhead Feeling Blue

Before Blaise could count to three, assuming he ever would have, Erin was on top of him and looking down. She wasn't wearing her usual grin but she was far from upset with Blaise. "I haven't. Basketball doesn't count stupid. Obviously I can't toss a hoop to save my life." She replied and briefly chuckled. Had it been someone else it might have been obvious that she was using the wrong words but Erin remained oblivious until she was unseated.

Erin rolled onto her side and once again found herself laying on her back and not wanting to get up. This time at least she was preparing herself for whatever trick Blaise might be trying next. Last time she was caught off guard but this time she was at least expecting something. "If you wanted a fight...well actually this was probably the only thing that would have worked." She said, now wondering what she would have said to a quick spar.

Blaise sits up quickly when she's unseated, preparing himself for some form of retaliation. But it doesn't come. Erin continues to lie back, and a smirk quickly finds his face. "See, that's the problem!" He springs forward, aiming to land directly atop her again. Though this time, it'd see him lying face to face with her, chest to breasts, hips to hips, nose to nose. His hands go for her wrists to pin at either side of her head. "The real Erin's a jerk who's always happy to fight!"

He squints at her. "One." He, again, isn't exactly counting at pace. In fact, he even slows it down enough to say, "And it's shoot hoops, dingus."

"Nnnggfff...come on Blaise." Erin whined as she found him laying on top of her, his chest pressing down on hers and leaving little space between the two. The redhead was left with her arms beside her head, looking up at the teen. Listening to him, Blaise was right. Erin was not one to walk away from a challenge and usually was eager to except even the most foolish of them.

Letting Blaise count, Erin just glanced to the side as her face flushed a bit red. It wasn't often she found herself in this position but for now she would let her 'foe' stay on top. "That's stupid...who wants to shoot a hoop." She mumbled. She tried at first to change the subject but she was fairly certain her friend wasn't going to let her off the hook that easily. The redhead sighed and looked back up. "You're not stopping until I kick your butt are ya?" She asked with a weak smile.

Blaise happily ignores her protests as he pins her and begins the deliberately slow, ponderous count. He'd love to go at full speed and 'officially' pin Erin - that'd be pretty cathartic. But that's not the point of this exercise, and he wouldn't have really earned it. Someone extinguished Erin's fire. He's got to rekindle it before the embers go cold.

Rather than give her a snarky comeback to her sass, he drones, "Twwwoooo~..."

She looks up at him again, his face all but bumping into hers. His shoulders shift in an attempted shrug from this position. "Until you remember who you are and what you do. Until you remember you do this because you like it."

Erin rolled her eyes. It appeared her assessment was right on the money. She was stuck there until Blaise got bored, she kicked out, or Blaise somehow managed to count to three. The redhead began to shift around uncomfortably, trying to get into a bit of a better position for herself. "I don't do this cause I like it." She commented with a slight frown.

Suddenly Erin would kick up and try to roll the pair over. She wasn't just looking to push Blaise off but to completely turn the tables and end up pressed firmly down on her surprise opponent. "I do THIS cause I like it." She'd roar, already just assuming that she'd succeed. While it of course wasn't guaranteed, confidence usually came before just about anything Erin tried. While today might have been the exception to that rule, she was getting back on her normal track.

The first thing Erin says gets a confused look from Blaise. He knows that's not true. Erin loves fighting. He's known her for a very short amount of time, but some things aren't exactly mysterious. She's alive in the ring, she's enthusiastic - even irritatingly so - and she's all smiles. If she really doesn't enjoy what she's doing, why is-

Oh, of course. She's being a jerk again!

Blaise, taken off guard, is rolled over and finds himself pressed bodily beneath the redhead. He pushes his hands against her wrists, testing her determination to stay in the top position. He doesn't have any sincere intentions to break the hold, however. Not this quickly. It's best to let her have a little taste to remind her what it's like to be in the lead. She seems like she could use a win, anyway.

"What, lay on guys?," he teases. His back arches, deliberately pressing his six-packed abdominals into her stomach.

Erin couldn't help but grin as she was now firmly planted atop Blaise. Sure it might not have been the biggest accomplishment of her career but it was still something. It was apparent he still had plenty of fight in him though as she was able to tell from his comment. "Yeah that's TOTALLY what I meant. Just cause you're a perv doesn't mean I am." She said before raising her fist and giving him a quick punch on the shoulder. She didn't get off though despite feeling him pressing against her. She just took his hands firmly and shoved them above his head.

Next came a bit of silence from the redhead. She just looked down and her smile slowly faded. "Hey..." She finally said, still refusing to let Blaise up. She pushed up just a bit though so that their faces were no longer so close. "You know there are easier ways to try and cheer someone up right?" She asked. Frankly she wasn't quite sure why Blaise had tried it in the first place, but it hadn't gone unnoticed.

Blaise makes a little grunt sound when she punches his shoulder, but that's the most protest she gets from him. He's pinned fully beneath her, his hands secured above his head, with nothing to do but remain pressed bodily into her. His gaze rests on hers, easy smile playing on his face. And though the sensation of her form against his is nice - though he may hate to admit it - it isn't what's getting the smile. That's borne simply from the idea that he's helping her. Grating though she may be towards him so often, there's a deep-seeded part of him that derives joy from being uplifting. And uplifting is something Erin needs.

Though her smile fades, his does not.

"Probably," submits Blaise. "But easiest isn't best. And there are lots of people out there, but only one Erin. Well, lots of Erins, but only one Erin-.. uh.. you. You know what I mean. I mean making ya happy is worth more than the bare minimum."

Erin slowly let go of Blaise's arms. She'd plant her elbow on his chest and then rest her chin in that hand. The redhead would watch, quite amused, as the teen seemingly stumbled over his words. For whatever reason it brought a smile to her face. Erin rolled her eyes and let out a quick chuckle. "You have a way with words you know. Really know how to make a woman feel special." She teased and quickly stuck her tongue out. "I guess I ain't much better myself though."

"Alright...Before anyone sees this and gets the wrong idea." Erin said before finally the Irish lass sat back up before continuing. "Hell, I'm starting to get the wrong idea." She commented with a laugh. It wasn't long before Erin sprung back up onto her feet. She reached down and grabbed Blaise's arm, barely waiting for him to respond before she started to help him up. It was the least she could do after all.

"You a-," Blaise almost asks before she raises off of him, grabs him, and yanks, "-erf!"

Suddenly popped to his feet like a ragdoll, the teen is left at a brief wobble before finding his footing. He then pats himself over, as if smoothing over clothing he obviously isn't wearing. Then again, the strapping lad doesn't have any wrinkles, so maybe there's something to it.

"Feel better?," he asks, sneaking a light jab towards her ribs.
