Re: Making a Splash: The Crimson Legacy (D) vs the Pool Party (D)

There was no doubt about it, the Pool Party had gotten a decisive first strike in this match, putting both Kyo and Makie on the defensive early on, each of them trapped in a head scissor by one of their opponents. It was a bad spot to be in, early in the match, with the Swedes able to start wearing away at them...and would have been, had not the siblings' endless training and coordination kicked in. In an instant, they managed to turn the tables on the Pool Party, managing to roll them up for quick pinfall attempts!

Pinfall attempts that Erik and Jenny were quick to kick out of...literally. Kyo felt Jenny's knees hammering against his back: with a wince of pain, he was forced to release the blonde. Makie took it even harder, as one of Erik's blows hit her hard in the back and nearly unbalanced her! Wincing, she rolled off of Erik and got back up to her knees.

Standing back up to his full height, Kyo nodded silently to Makie, and burst into a run towards the ropes. In an instant, Makie hopped up to her feet and did the same, running towards the opposite ropes. Both siblings would then come rebounding back towards the center of the ring, where the Pool Party might have been trying to stand up at that point: rather than go after the ones they had originally been fighting, however, both Kyo and Makie would duck low at the last minute, with Kyo instead hoping to nail Erik with a clothesline, and Makie trying to do the same to Jenny!

If the Pool Party were both still grounded, however, then Kyo and Makie would each instead try to come at them with running leg drops!

Pool Party's triumphant start had been reversed in a sudden and rather shocking way, as both of the crimson siblings had managed to turn their tricky holds into surprise pinfall attempts! It was a display of clever wrestling prowess, and sent the Swedish swimmers into panic mode. The duo began fierce attempts at kicking out immidiately, and both of them were granted a sigh of relief soon as the Japanese wrestlers had to let their holds go, and retreat further away. Sure, for Jenny & Erik the main relief was having just escaped the pinfall attempt... But they were surely going to be a bit disappointed afterwards for not having had the chance to witness the painful winces of Kyo and Makie respectively as the effect of their kicks.

The duo looked briefly at each other, clearly quite shocked over what had just happened.
"How did they do that?!?"
"I don't know, it was really strange..."
"Oh, quick! Get up! They're coming!"

Pool Party's exchange of words was cut short by Jenny's quick realization that the Crimson Legacy had suddenly sprinted towards the ropes - and there was no question over where they would be returning from them. This was no time to stay still on the mat, being an easy target! The Swedes began immediately scrambling themselves back up again, which was still a very feasible task, as the match had not gone on much at all yet. "Let's dodge them!" Erik quickly whispered to his tag partner, in preparation of the crimson duo already sprinting back towards the center of the ring...

Their plan turned out to be good, but with having just one crucial but. The Crimson Legacy had managed to pull a trick from up their sleeves that the Swedish swimmers were totally not expecting! Both of the Japanese wrestlers ducking at the last second to the side, and into a different direction than each one of the swimmers had expected threw their plan immediately out of the window, with the end result being Erik getting promptly downed by Kyo's Clothesline, and Jenny by Makie's! The surprised duo even collided with each other mid-fall, leaving them laid out on the mat for now in one heap.

The crowd roared with applause as the Akamatsu Siblings managed to pull of a surprise team attack, wrong-footing both of the Swedes to instead nail their respective team partners with clotheslines instead-- with Erik go down to Kyo's forearm and Jenny getting knocked down by Makie. The end result was that the Crimson Legacy was now left standing over their downed Swedish opponents, to the applause of the crowd after that well timed manouver. It was early in the match, and they had already taken a commanding lead.

Looking at Makie, Kyo glanced at the opposite ropes and nodded. Understanding her brother's meaning, Makie burst into a run, rebounding off of the ropes as she came back towards Kyo. At the same time, Kyo would yank Erik up by the arm and grab onto his wrists, holding him in place for Makie to nail him with a running drop kick-- a move that would surely be devastating unless Erik managed to dodge it somehow...

Pool Party were surely the team more likely to pull off surprising antics in the ring tonight, but as it turned out, the Akamatsu siblings also had a few tricks up their sleeves as well! An unexpected switch in targets saw the blonde duo crashing into each other and onto the mat, granting quite an impressive roar of approval for the Japanese pair. They certainly seemed to appreciate the coordination, execution and skill of Crimson Legacy, something that at this point wasn't really appreciated by the Pool Party duo at all.

Could they have complained though? Well, no. Kyo and Makie obviously knew each other and their thoughts very well... And that was always an essential ingredient in the recipe for a successful tag team. And while Erik and Jenny had also wrestled together for a good while already... Their efforts in the ring tended to still always be more on the chaotic side of things. Like the heap they were currently piled up in...

Soon though Erik could feel himself getting pulled back up again, something that he first appreciated very much. Jenny did too, as it allowed herself to freely roll to the side as well... But as soon as the Splashter would realize being held in place by the muscular Japanese guy, and worse still, Makie's form rebounding off the ropes towards him, he knew that his delight had been way too early. "Ohh... SHIT!" The blonde swimmer cursed to himself as he knew he wasn't going to escape Kyo's clutches, leaving him squarely as the target for Makie's running dropkick!

Letting out a huge cry of agony, Erik was surely going to drop straight back down from the impact of the dropkick. But by this time, Jenny had made her way back up again... And placed herself right behind Kyo. Hoping to surprise him, she tried to forcibly push and send his body stumbling towards the side of the ring... The one that was occupied the pool instead of the ropes. And hoping that she managed to get him rather near the edge, the Aquanator wanted to finish the job by delivering a dropkick of her own... But one that she was hoping to send Kyo crashing into the pool!

Grabbing a hold of the lighter Swede's arm, Kyo pulled on him, seemingly helping him up to his feet. Nothing could be further from the truth, though, as soon Makie was thundering right for Erik, launching herself at him, boots-first. Kyo's sister pulled off the drop kick almost flawlessly, her boots slamming home into the blonde guy's chest. Kyo nearly winced from the impact, as Erik was sent crumpling down to the mat, knocked down by the siblings' combined strike.

Satisfied, Kyo turned...just in time to see Jenny lunging at him with a drop kick of her own...

"UUUURFF!" Kyo grunted from the impact, the blow unbalancing him and sending him toppling backwards. The next thing he knew, he was splashing down into the ringside pool: instinctively, he started to paddle and swim, trying to stay above the water level, his chest still sore from the drop kick. All things considered, though, right now he was more embarrassed than hurt.

Seeing that her brother was now down, Makie rolled up to her feet, and stared Jenny down. Glaring, Makie burst into a run, trying to run past the blonde, before leaping towards the ropes, hoping to rebound off of them and catch Jenny in a flying lariat!

Jenny could tell for sure that Erik had just taken a pretty devastating hit, but she also knew that it was much wiser for her to focus on her own game first before tending to her partner's agony. Besides, Erik was supposed to be a tough guy, at least somewhat tough, and he should have had no problem with taking hits like that, right? Especially as Makie certainly looked like someone he should have been able to deal with.

OK, technically, he had been handicapped by Kyo. But that was only more of a reason to pay revenge on him, right? Especially as Jenny's way of taking revenge on him proved to be such an effective one, with the muscled Japanese ending up tumbling straight into the pool. She always enjoyed delivering a soaking.

Taking a few steps forward, the Aquanator proceeded to admire her work. "Ha, isn't it refreshing, right?" she taunted the swimming Kyo - right before she heard footsteps approaching her rapidly. Turning to face them she could see Makie coming at her, and quickly took a defensive stance... But once again, things with the sibling fighters did not go exactly as expected. Instead of colliding with her, Makie flew past the blonde swimmer... And once she managed to turn to face Makie again, the agile girl was already flying through the air, delivering the Flying Lariat! The result was a perfect impact to Jenny, who immediately fell down and toppled over... And crucially, eventually flopped from the momentum into the pool as well.

Meanwhile, Erik was still hurting badly from the Dropkick, but he had managed to roll over so that he could see all the action unfolding on the pool end of the ring... And significantly, Jenny flopping into the pool as well. Fighting through his pain, he forced himself back up again, and set his sights sternly on Makie. Hoping that he could catch her off guard, the Splashter started charging for her, hoping to down her with a Spear, that would inevitably throw both of them into the pool as well! Although if he couldn't catch Makie off guard, then it would likely be only him ending up in the water.

Kyo gasped for air as his head came back up from under the water. He was far, far too used to the ring, and had instinctively expected the ropes to cushion his fall. And so, it had been a rude surprise when, instead, he ended up splashing head-first into the water. He could hear the crowd chuckling in the background; he did his best to hide his own embarrassment as he tried to swim back into the ring. Ahead of him, Jenny was already leaning over the edge of the ring, taunting him as he tried to make his way back into the match.

She didn't have long to taunt, though-- not when Makie came lunging in from out of nowhere, nailing Jenny with a lariat and sending her, too, splashing into the water. Kyo, admittedly, took more than a little pleasure at watching Jenny go splashing down in turn, but nonetheless he continued to try to swim for the edge of the ring.

Seeing Jenny go splashing into the water, Makie rolled to her feet and smiled, grinning down at the downed Swedish girl. "I dunno, you tell me!" she taunted in turn. "Pretty refreshing, huh?" Unfortunately, as she did this, her back ended up being turned to Erik-- a fact that the blonde guy took full advantage of, spearing into Makie from behind!

"AUUGH!" Makie gasped, before she went toppling into the water with Erik. Acting on instinct, she kicked her legs and managed to get back up to the surface; at this point, all four wrestlers were now in the pool, and the audience laughed as the match had now literally turned into a water contest.

It certainly wasn't a traditional scene from a wrestling match... But hey, what was the fun in traditional scenes from wrestling matches anyway - at least when it was Pool Party's debut! The swimmer duo certainly wanted to leave a lasting first impression with the crowds, and having four wrestlers struggling and battling it out in a pool certainly checked the box - of being far enough outside the box. Although, it was hard to say whether anyone who had already seen the ring and the setup before the match even commencing would have not expected to see the sight.

For some reason, it felt like Crimson Legacy hadn't. It had been surprisingly easy to first get Kyo into the pool... And then Makie turning her back to Erik right beside it. Rookie errors, that only Pool Party could spot... Sure, the Swedish pair had also ended up in the pool themselves, but that wasn't a problem, it was pretty much just like natural habitat for them.

Which obviously was something that they needed to take advantage of then. Erik was still pretty much just entangled with Makie, who was making good efforts with getting back up to the surface herself... And frankly, it was actually quite a nice sight to have Makie right next to him in the pool for Erik, and the Splashter decided to try simply pinning the girl's back against the edge of the pool for the moment, in hopes of managing to get a moment one on one with her in the water. "Hey! Where do you think you're going? It's more fun in here!" the Swedish guy stated in a rather mischievous, slightly flirting tone.

Meanwhile, Jenny could see Kyo making efforts at getting out of the water back into the dry part of the ring, and naturally concluded that she had to stop him. Quickly diving after him, the Aquanator first yanked on his legs hard to pull him further away back towards the center of the pool, before trying to wrap her arms and legs around his midsection, trying to cling on to him as if she was his backpack. "Hihihi, you could be my sea horse!" the girl would then proceed to giggle in a rather nonsensical manner.

Kyo wasn't an inexperienced swimmer: on an island nation like Japan, it was fair to say that you would not find many inexperienced swimmersand he had more than enough stamina to stay afloat for a long period of time. All the same, he was cursing himself as he swam his way back to the ring: even though he had been mentally aware of the open nature of the ring and the very obvious pool right next to it, old habits and muscle memory had worked against him. He had been so used to there always being a fourth rope that he had forgotten, mid-match, that this time there wasn't.

This, at least, was what Kyo was telling himself as he made his way back to the ring, trying to hide his embarassment. And he was making good progress as well...that was, until one of his opponents grabbed onto him from behind.

"BLLLRRBBPPPBPB!" Kyo's face was momentarily submerged under water again as Jenny enthusiastically glomped onto him from behind, her extra weight nearly pulling him under the water. He kicked and paddled frantically as he tried to stay above water, but Jenny wasn't making it easy for him, clinging tightly around his midsection with her arms and legs. He could hear her giggling as she did so: was this crazy girl trying to get him killed?

Kyo couldn't use his hands to pry Jenny loose-- not without sinking, now that he had Jenny's extra weight to contend with. Even as the thought came to him, though, he realized that was the solution: taking and holding a deep breath, he immediately stopped kicking, and allowed himself to sink further down into the pool, letting the cool waters pull him lower even as he used his hands to try to wrench Jenny's limbs free. Hopefully, Jenny would be forced to let him go soon, as it quickly turned into a contest to see who could hold their breath the longest...

Makie, meanwhile, had a problem of an entirely different variety: the moment she surfaced, she felt someone pushing against her. She gasped, and the next thing she knew, Erik was pressing her against the edge of the pool, his face tantalizingly close to hers as he began to openly flirt with her. Still breathing hard from the earlier impact, Makie's face reddened as she was left flustered by just how close Erik was getting.

That is, until her outrage kicked in. "Back off, creep!" she exclaimed, before swinging her forehead down, hoping to surprise Erik with a sudden headbutt!

Jenny was simply having fun with Kyo in the pool. His body was pretty muscular and toned, and the girl certainly didn't mind getting into closer contact with him... Especially this way, as it was happening on her own terms. Riding him like a sea horse was at least a fun play - although it was probably a bit questionable what good it did for the larger good in the match. Well, at least it was making Kyo struggle, and surely consuming his endurance and strength!

Jenny honestly failed to detect any of Kyo's horror, she found nothing dangerous about their positions at all. That meant that it was an even more of a shock to her as Kyo suddenly began submerging and sinking towards the bottom of the pool, frankly, she became even scared if something had happened to him! As she was getting drawn beneath the surface along with him, she could soon feel his arms prying her limbs away from him, which at least was a sign of life... And unaware of this all being just Kyo's ploy of setting himself free, the Aquanator let him free rather easily as well, swimming over towards the edge of the pool in hopes of checking out whether Kyo would make it back to the surface once getting freed from her weight.

Erik on the other hand was hoping to get comfortable with Makie, which for a brief second appeared like a very plausible prospect, with the black-haired girl getting visibly blushing and all... But to his disappointment, a rather painful one, she soon decided to go for some enhanced separation between the two by performing an abrupt Headbutt! "OUCH!!! H-hey....!!!" Irritiation was clearly visible in Erik's voice as he had to retreat from the girl, holding his own forehead for the moment as well as he could while still swimming to keep his head above the surface... Which probably allowed ample time for Makie to get out of the pool should she wish to do so, or perform some further attacks on Erik in the water instead.
