Not a Walk in the Park: Blaise Cameron vs Cathy Jefferson

Listening intently, Cathy snatches a sidelong look at Blaise, who is now making a lopsided smile, wondering if she made too big a deal about Kat's abs. "Well, ya know I always appreciate the effort goes into acquiring a nice six pack, on a woman as well as a man... so you're a wrestler, and a fan." Turning to face her companion at length, Cathy blows a strand of blonde hair out of her face and lets her wide green eyes go slightly kooky, a facility she learned while dating in her teens. "Well Blaise, I'm not sure exactly what 'porn' side you're referring to, but I've often thought it would be pretty neat to have a fan who can also wrestle..."

"The hentai stuff," Blaise says bluntly. "Chicks losing their clothes and going at it in a ring. That ain't wrestling. S'just.. porn." The distaste he has for it is evident enough in his tone, but he lets the topic shift away onto more pleasant things.

"Well, congrats. You've got a fan who can wrestle. And wrestle well, too!," he chirps. It's not a lie, despite his record. He's very knowledgeable, highly skilled, strong, athletic... he has other things working against him. "Did you.. wanna go a round?," he asks, nudging his knee sidelong towards hers. "We could reconvene this at a gym in like an hour? Or tomorrow? I dunno how sore you are after your match..."

Though he'll stick to his guns that Cathy did well, she did still lose. He isn't sure how battered and beaten she might be!

Cathy ponders the offer from Blaise but it doesn't take the game cowgirl long to make up her mind:
"You know what, I'd love to go a round or two with a fan who can wrestle! And considering I'm more likely to have stiffened up by morning, the idea of reconvening in the gym in a hour would make a lotta sense...shall we?"

During that brief time she ponders, Blaise keeps a peppy smile on his face - the disappointment from before dissipating quickly. Such is the way of the wellspring of positivity that is Cameron-san.

"Perfect. Just don't be too disappointed if I pin ya," he teases with a wink. "Anyway, I know a gym we could use. Unless you have a place specifically in mind? And, hey, ring gear? Might make it more fun."

"Oh I dare say we could trade one or two pins," Cathy responds slightly coyly. "Just lead me to that gym - I have all the kit I need on me already!"

"I don't!" Blaise was out jogging, after all. And if he's going to tangle with someone in the ring and it not be strictly training, he can afford to have a little fun with it. Besides, he did say to reconvene in an hour or so. Gives him enough time to prep.

So in a flash, he has his cellphone out, accessing a text message template. An address is put in, and he looks at her. "Number?," he asks. And should she provide one, the text will be sent her way!

A good ten minutes ahead of schedule, Cathy walked into the gym at the address Blaise had put into the text. The walk in the fresh air, plus bumping into the cheerful young man from States-side, had done Cathy a power of good and her mood was much improved already. It was a quiet, low-key sort of establishment she realised, which was just fine as she didn't really want to draw attention to herself while sparring with a man just after her LAW debut. Blaise hadn't arrived yet so, after paying for the session at the desk, Cathy made her way to the changing room and got into her reserve outfit, which was a neat sky blue wrestling bikini and matching hose, before making her way to the gym room.

Blaise was determined to be punctual. He wanted a little time to prep, anyway. And a part of that was deciding what exactly to wear to this 'challenge'. Was it a challenge? Should he hold back? That thought quickly left his mind; she wouldn't appreciate him holding back, probably. Besides, it's a chance to impress her. Right now, she likely thinks he's a nobody. He has to prove otherwise!

Blaise enters the nearly-vacant room already decked out in his attire. Royal blue trunks streaked with tribal black markings and a pair of matching wrestling boots makes up the entirety of his attire. Sleekly-toned abdominals and firm chest goes completely bare, as do his strong arms and thighs.




Spotting Cathy already present and wearing an ensemble he hadn't seen her in before, he pauses and blinks at her. She looks awesome. It's a classic look, but perfect on her. It's difficult to not appreciate it in person. He heads for the ring, still staring at her. "You look p-"

*CLONG*

He walked directly into a turnbuckle. The young grappler recoils, hands covering his bonked nose. "Agh!" Nothing but a long string of profanity runs through his mind.

Cathy does her best not to a laugh at Blaise's performance, wondering for a moment if the guy was just clowning for her sake or the collision was for real.

"Oh my, that must've hurt, you poor thing! Let me know when you're in good enough shape to get goin',hon." So saying, the Broncobuster turns and, taking a firm grip on the ropes, begins her warm-up by stretching out her long, superbly toned legs in succession, knowing full well that the young male grappler can hardly fail to appreciate the calculated display.

"I'm good!," reports a somewhat muffled Blaise through his hands. He's good, but embarrassed. This was not a good way to open things tonight.

His hands move from his face to grab onto the bottom rope, pulling himself up onto the apron. Dropping, he simply rolls beneath the rope to enter the ring, foregoing his typical displays of acrobatics. When he raises to his full height again, he spots the girl's back turned to him and stretching out her long, toned, bare legs. Why yes. He's pretty certain that's on purpose. He's also definitely appreciating the show.

His hands link together and stretch high above his head, body pulled taut as he tilts one way, then the next. "Mnh. Ready to get pinned?," he teases as he makes his way to the center of the ring. "Because I don't plan on holding back!" His arms move to the ready position, fingers splayed invitingly. He intends to start things off with a classic lockup.
