One Rocker To Another

Mickie Cooper looked up at the night sky, blowing air out of her cheeks as she considered her options. Katsumi seemed to have an idea of what was around, at least. Mic rarely ever knew where anything was without help of a GPS, despite having lived in Japan for a while now. "Uggggh. I'm indecisive as hell," she finally admitted before looking back at her newfound friend, shrugging.

"Shit, I'll have a burger. Burger King is around here, right? I'll probably have three burgers at this point. Because I'm about to wilt away here," said Mickie, turning Kat to face the exit of the alleyway and slinging her arm over the brunette's shoulders. "I'm going to be straight up primal when we get there. It will be grotesque the way I shovel those burgers down my throat."

Then, with her free hand, she gestured to the open sidewalk in front of them and said, "Lead the way, babe. You are my guide." Mickie accented that with a cheeky grin, allowing Katsumi to lead them in the right direction.

Katsumi observes the cogs turning in real-time, ever-so-curious to see where they land. Which ultimately turns out to be... nowhere! No, wait! Burger King! That's what it was. Burger monarchy, come to imperialize Japan. Admittedly, they do have good burgers. "Way to break the stereotype, gaijin~," she teases.

As she's spun around and finds an arm slung around her shoulders, she begins walking along. But when Mic drops the word "babe" at her, she bursts into a peal of bright giggles, and loops her nearest arm around the rocker's waist as they walk. "Babe? Keep talkin' like that, I might start to think you've got a thing for bad girls." She eyeshifts over to her and shoots her a wink, punctuated with a playful sidebump of her hip against Mic's.

"My car or yours?," is the next question posed when their feet reach the sidewalk.

"Gaijin..." said Mic Chick with a scoff and a laugh, rolling her eyes. She would continue walking with Katsumi, hearing her obvious flirting and laughed at her, shaking her head. "Yeah, I like bad girls because they're the only ones who can keep the hell up. Heard?" replied Mickie, giving her new friend a squeeze around her shoulders. She certainly did find Katsumi attractive--there was definitely a style there that she was into. But she didn't exactly understand the bad girl thing quite yet. If anything, Katsumi seemed quite pleasant. More pop rock than anything, given their interactions so far.

And when Kat asked whose car they were using, Mickie gave her a look like she was crazy. "I didn't drive here, you kidding me? I car pooled. I expected to be hammered by now, and there was no way my ass was getting home behind the wheel," said Cooper with a laugh. She gave Katsumi a light shove ahead of her so she could lead. "So I hope you brought your ride, otherwise we're probably hoofing it," concluded Mic Chick, casually shrugging and ready to follow behind the brunette.

Indeed, Katsumi has insofar been mostly normal! But that inevitably will take a hit. Likely before the night's over! But as her shoulders are squeezed, she teeters into Mickie a little more with a grin. Banter! Banter's fun. Not enough people can banter. So she's relaxing a little more with her; not that she was particularly nervous before, but an effort to be supportive and good was being made.

"Oh, check you out, being responsible," she lilts before getting a shove. She stumbles forward. "Betch! No pushin'!," she scolds, with absolutely no sincerity behind her tone. She's fussing for the sake of fussing. "And I'm a superstar! I don't hoof it!" She had to park a moderate ways away from the venue, however, because better spots were taken by those who arrived early. "...except now. Shh, don't count now!"

And soon, they arrive at a a midnight blue sportscar of yesteryear, spotless and meticulously well-kept. She strolls around to the passenger side, plucking out a set of keys to beep the locks open. She pops the door open and looks to Mic. "Come on in," she invites. And once she does so, Katsumi closes the door for her - ensuring no fingers or legs are hanging out first! - then strolls to the driver's side and climbs in.

The key is turned, and the car purrs to life, an array of LED readouts and gauges warmly lit up along the dashboard. This car was likely quite fancy a few years ago, if fallen a bit behind with the newest amenities. "University present," Katsumi asides to Mic as they pull out into the street. "Sort of a 'going away' gift."

Mickie Cooper followed Katsumi down the road, making minor small talk on the way there. It wasn't until they got to a rather gorgeous blue sportscar that Mic let out a long whistle, impressed by it. "Daaaamn girl, you ride with style," said the singer, checking it out for a short while before ducking inside. She wasn't much of a car person, but she knew a damn nice car when she saw it.

Buckling in, Mic Chick put the seat back a bit, reclining in it as she looking around at the interior, remaining very impressed by it. "Well congratulations on that then," complimented Mickie. "Glad to see you're putting the degree to good use with wrestling and rock n' roll." She joked, winking at Katsumi and letting out a snicker as they began to move. "Thanks for the ride though," added Mic, glancing out the window as they drove around, taking in the sights of the area.

The sporty two-seated is spacious on the inside (likely thanks to the fact that it is, indeed, only a two-seater), so reclining would only yield more comfortability. And Katsumi is cruising along with a pleasant smile on her face, happy with the way the night's turned out. It's exceptionally rare for another wrestler to want anything to do with her, really. And friends are in severely short supply. She has... one. One friend. Only one person has been able to weather the constant teasing sass Katsumi provides, on top of the general horribleness. But Mickie seems surprisingly nice. Even a little into what she's seen so far.

She just has to not be too much.. well, herself.

The comment on putting her college degree to good use gets a very subtle wince from her, however. As they pull to a red light, she glances over to her with a weak smile. "Y-yeah..." She doesn't offer further than that, but a perceptive individual may catch a hint of anguish there. But the light changes, and onwards they go.

As they reach the severely American Burger King, she pulls into a parking spot, clambers out, and waits for Mic to join her before locking it. "You ready to turn some heads, celebrity?," she muses to her.

Mic Chick heard what Katsumi said, instantly rolling her eyes with a groan. "God, I hope not. Usually if I'm dressing normally, I can get away with it. But in the get up, I'm probably getting attention," said Mickie, actually looking legitimately annoyed by that fact as she rubbed her forehead. "It's fine though. We'll just... I dunno, keep it low key."

With a deep breath, the singer got out of the car and took off her vest, tossing it into the passenger side before closing the door. She gave a shrug to Kat and said, "Yeah, just some chick in a plaid skirt and a top that's putting my tits way out there, without a vest. Totally inconspicuous." Mic Chick would then step out, taking a few steps to meet Kat before seeing looks already being made in her direction from a couple people in the parking lot.

A lot mulled around in her mind, but chief among them was that it wasn't going to get better once she got inside. Mickie frowned, looking over at Kat and spoke in a more reserved tone. "We'll just try to make it quick... Make it to go. We can eat somewhere else. That cool?" asked Cooper, bowing her head in the hopes nobody would really notice as she walked towards the Japanese Burger King, taking a deep breath.

Katsumi's mirth dims a bit upon seeing Mickie's reaction. She glances to the restaurant, then back to her in time to see her shed the outer-wear, and suddenly bursts into laughter. "If you're trying to not draw attention, you're going the opposite direction! Now people are gonna look at'cha for a different reason!"

Just as quickly as the humor spiked, however, it drops again with a soft sigh in resignation. "Ah, Hell..." She can easily tell this is something that weighs quite a bit on her. So when she's joined, Katsumi lifts a hand to lightly touch her on the elbow. "Hey. Yeah. S'what I was thinking. We get the order to go, and we can go somewhere private. My place, your place, doesn't matter. 'Kay? But if we pick my place, you have to not point out how lame it is."

Katsumi moves along, opting to take the lead when the duo enter the restaurant. And at first, people don't notice - they're busy doing their own thing. And Katsumi breezes on up to the counter. "Hail, food minion!," Katsumi greets the cashier theatrically. She receives a blink in response. "Let's do a double bacon cheeseburger, with onion rings. And my friend here, she's having, uh..." She glances aside to Mickie, prompting her to chime in.

Mic offered a brief, grateful smile at Katsumi's offer, nodding. "Yeah, yeah. We can go to your place or something. My place is a disaster right now," said Mickie simply, waving a hand. "I'm sure it's not lame though. Don't worry. It's just a place to crash for a bit." She still didn't seem eager to go into the fast food joint, but she kept her head down and did so, ignoring a few onlookers muttering to one another while looking in her direction.

Keeping her arms crossed over her chest, she heard Katsumi's loud greeting and picked her head up to grimace, looking around briefly at the attention she got before putting her head back down. Kat ordered first, and Mic waited a beat before her new friend trailed off, leaving her to order. Picking her head up briefly, she said, "Three doubles and a medium fry."

She flashed a quick smile at the cashier before immediately turning to face a direction with the least amount of people, taking a few steps away and letting Katsumi handle the rest. The cashier did a double take at Mic while she wasn't looking, giving Katsumi the kind of look like she wanted to ask an obvious question but wasn't sure if she should.

Katsumi, on the other hand, is the very image of imperious stoicism. She knows exactly why Mickie is fidgeting and wandering off, but she's drawing zero attention to it. In fact, when the cashier begins giving her conspicuous looks, the punkette lifts a hand to begin snapping her fingers obnoxiously. "Hey. Hey! Heeyyy~! Food minion, hello! An order was made! Tell me the total already!"

This gets a dirty look, but the total is presented. Katsumi promptly pays, then waves a hand to shoo her off. Not that the cashier needed to go anywhere, but having been put on the spot, she does just that. Afterwards, Katsumi calls, "To go, please~!," sweetly.

While the food is being gathered, she makes her way over to Mickie and gently fistbumps her back. "If you wanna wait by the car, s'okay. We'll bail as soon as they bring it. And, like, a messy place is so whatever, let's just go wherever you think would be chill. If you're sure it's my place, cool."
