Between Rounds - LWS 2017 Interview: Elena Vandersteen/Katherine Hart

Katherine immediately giggled when she heard Elena ask about choosing between a championship or a monstrously large undefeated streak.

"Heheheh! Oh, man. What an interesting question." She'd try to compose herself.

"Um, if I had to choose between one of the other, I think I'd choose to become a champion. Realistically, we all wanna be the next Goldberg, right? No one goes out to compete at LAW or anywhere with the intention to lose. I might be undefeated now, but I know that eventually I'll take a loss, and that's ok." She'd smile and continue.

"Everyone loses at some point. Even the famous Bill Goldberg. Doesn't matter who you are. I'm not trying to devalue streaks. Some people manage to center parts of their career around it. You've got guys like Goldberg and the Undertaker at wrestlemania and other people who get famous for being undefeated for long time. I don't intend to be like them.

I want to be great because of who I face off against. I want to build a reputation on my ability to contend with the best and how I deal with adversity. It might sound a little cocky, but I think I'm one of the few women at LAW that you could say would bring prestige to a title. Many people all over want a championship to elevate them, to elevate their careers. I think that my career - that my identity as Katherine Hart, as the Super Kitty elevates championships and anything else that I involve myself in. I truly do. I think my fans believe that, and soon, I'm going to make the rest of the LAW locker room believe it as well. Me being here adds tremendous stock and value to LAW. And I'm going to do my best to prove that."

While she was not all that knowledgeable about other people who were famous for having an undefeated streak like Bill Goldberg or the Undertaker she had to agree with what Katherina was saying. As nobody would be able to retire undefeated in any kind of sport as it was bound to happen that one day the super kitty's undefeated streak would end.

Still it was clear that the blond had a plan , and was determined to see it to the end as she planed on adding prestige to any championship she would manage to win while she worked for LAW. That was another good think as the belts would need to be elevated to bigger heights , and having an popular and experience wrestler being one of the first to hold , and hopefully defend it for a while would only help the championship out in the end. So after she wrote it all down she would just reply ''have to admit you got a point. Still some would say you are arrogant if they were to hear these words. As they could take it as if you believe that only you can add prestige to these titles or LAW itself. What would you say to those who would think bad about you like this Katherine?''

Katherine had reached down for a sip of her drink while Elena took down notes on her response to the previous question. Upon hearing Elena's follow up question, the blonde's eye would widen and she'd quickly put the glass down before swallowing what was in her mouth and responding.

"Arrogant? Hold on, let's address that part first. I can see how if my words were taken out of context, they could come across that way.
Let me be perfectly clear. I think I can add prestige to this company and this business, but I don't think I'm the only woman who does. Plenty of us work hard to establish themselves. Heck, the two of us here are wrestler and interviewer, right? And we work hard pretty much every day to try and make an impact here at LAW - to try and further out legacies here at LAW."

Katherine would make eye contact with the interviewer to stress her next point.

"I don't think that I'm the chosen one anything like that. I think that anyone who's put in the work and dedication to prove themselves can be elevated to the point of adding prestige to their company and their titles. Most title reigns you'll see here or anywhere for that matter, help build the performer, the wrestler. Titles help make careers, but it's a cycle. Eventually, once you're good enough and you've become a big enough deal, your career helps make the title and helps put your company on the map. And maybe it sounds a little cocky, but I believe I'm at that point.

I, Katherine Hart, have wrestled in America, Mexico, and Japan. I've amassed a great following. I've won titles in other promotions. I was an integral part of other companies- a headliner, a main eventer. I've inspired fans, to the point where my current tag partner used to be a fan that looked up to me just a couple years ago."

"I think most would agree that I'm doing pretty well for myself so far at LAW. I think that it would be easier for you to find someone who thinks highly of me than it is for you to find someone who thinks bad of me. And even those who think poorly of me, respect me on some level. You can ask anyone I've thrown down with at LAW. Susanna Kin, Alaina Sanders, Tina Armstrong, Natasha Rostovik. Some of them will say they like me, someone of them will say they don't. But I'm willing to bet that all of them respect me."

Elena had expected that her question would get some kind of reaction as she would explain herself after Katherine was done talking.Still she wrote down ever word that came out of the blond's mouth as her reply was full of passion as it was easy to tell that the wrestler meant ever word as she continued to keep eye contact the whole while Kathrine was talking.

Still while the Belgium woman was listening to the wrestler's reply , Tiffany was keeping herself close by as she took the orders of the people sitting close to the wrestler and interviewer.As while the German woman wanted to believe the wrestler would not get up to anything , but so far her track record with wrestlers or any kind of employee of LAW usually end badly.So when she got close to the table she would grab her note pad as she then said ''so do either of you want something else to drink or maybe order something of the card. If I could recommend something then I would suggest the bar variety. It a plate with all kinds of different snacks''

Hearing the waitress ask if either herself or Katherine would want something to drink she would smile as she replied ''another glass of Cola please , and as for your suggestion for something to eat well it depends on Kat over here.Still you don't have to worry about the cost as LAW is paying for it''teased the redhead as she would wait until the waitress left before she would resume talking.

Katherine herself hadn't expected to have to much to say. It might have been apt for Elena to bring a recorder instead of take notes down. The masked woman was just about to apologize for having said so much when the kind bartender approached the two about the possibility of ordering. Katherine thought about it for a second before Elena pointed out that the cost of eating at Seventh Heaven was covered by LAW, itself. The blonde's eyes would instantly light up and she'd flash a smile before asking.

"R-Really?!"

"Ummmm I just wrestled a pretty brutal match and I haven't eaten much....Tiffany, could I trouble you by asking for one of everything?" Kat would turn her head towards Elena and ask in jest: "Are you gonna judge me if I eat one of everything on the menu? I'll share with you!"

While both Elena as Tiffany were expecting the blond to order something aster the reporter mentioned it was all on the costs of LAW. Neither had expected to hear Katherine say she wanted one of everything as the Belgium woman was the one who was able to get over the shock by replying back ''Go right ahead.Still if your going to order one of everything would you mind if take a small bit from you of every dish?''.

Meanwhile Tiffany was writing down the order as she could not believe how much money she was going to make tonight as she would bow , and reply back ''that's alright.Still I doubt you want a bowl of fries or salad with each dish?.

"Nah, no sides. I'll stick to the entrees. Thank you!" Kat would say to Tifa before looking to Elena across the table from her.

"Of course, Elena! I love sharing food! Help yourself to anything on my side." She was certainly excited about the food, but she was also happy to continue getting to know her new friend and continuing the interview if Elena felt like is.

"So, who else have you interviewed at LAW so far? Anyone interesting? Anyone prettier than me?" Kat would say her last question with an inflection and a wink, trying to hint obviously that she's just joking for the sake of conversation.

''Alright then I will be back with your drinks in an bit. As for the food it will take a while''replied Tiffany politely as she would walk toward the bar. Once the owner was out of hearing range the redhead would just smile as she was happy that Kat wanted to share. Still before she could reply , and explain why she asked that earlier questions she got asked who she interviewed at Law so far.

This was an question she had bin expecting , but she was a bit worried the answer was not what the blond wanted to hear. As the Belgium woman would take a deep breath as she replied back ''well I only interviewed one other person who in return offered me the chance to experience what it like to train as an wrestler. Was so sore by the end of it . However it was something I love to try again as I do own you an apologize for that earlier question. Still you have to understand I need to question that will get the best responds out of someone''

Katherine would take a big gulp of her drink as Elena explained what interviewing Alaina was like. The blonde would raise an eyebrow before putting her glass down and waiting for Vandersteen to finish up.

"Alaina Sanders? She's a tough one. I fought her the other day in a tag match. I'm surprised she put you through any kind of training,
you must still be sore, haha!" Kat would reach across the table to pat Elena on the shoulder to show a little bit of compassion.

"So what did you ask her? And what do you think the best kinds of question for me? I'm not trying to put you on the spot. I just figure that you're going to be interviewing a lot of LAW wrestlers. Eventually, one of them was gonna start asking you some questions, right?" She'd say with a smile while the two continued waiting for their food.

Elana would just smile as she would listen to Kat's reaction of her encounter as she had to admit that Alaina Sanders was one tough woman. So the fact that the blond was able to be able to get up , and sit across from her proved to her just how strong miss Hart really was.Still she did think the pat on her shoulder was a bit much as Alaina did go easy on her to be honest.

''Well she was not that tough with me.As she allowed me to rest when I needed it''replied the redhead just as Tiffany walked by with their drinks as she placed them on the table , and then resumed her path to the next one.
