Deity's Boss Battle: Chiaki Nanami vs Kama Kameleon

Chiaki wasn't entirely wrong in her assessment. Kama wasn't one to press an advantage if it wasn't absolute. Even if it did just reset things, it was better than just walking into a trap. Was she being overly cautious? Definitely. But given some events involving a certain grey haired girl the streamer recently fought, the deity felt it was more than justified.

However it seemed that her plan to strike first was more telegraphed than she thought. Maybe it was going for the feint once again, maybe she overextended, maybe it was just Chiaki guessing. It didn't matter. It ended with her failing to get her arms around her opponent's neck, and a shoulder thrust into her gut as she tried to straighten up. She fell down with a thud, once again with the streamer on top of her.

The deity seemed to be a step behind each and every time. She knew she had to get control back, somehow. Her arm would try and wrap around Chiaki's head, attempting to trap it in a front facelock. She wasn't quite sure what to do from there, but if it went well maybe she could get a second to formulate her attack plan.

Chiaki's call that Kama was going to go for a feint was spot on. Then once the silver haired goddess clean whiffed her real attack, her reaction gave Chiaki exactly the opening that she needed to move in and go on the attack. Kama had no defense against Chiaki as the gamer girl lowered her shoulder into the goddess' belly, taking the larger wrestler down to the ground.

But while Kama had no defense against Chiaki on her feet, the goddess did come up with an answer for the pinkette once the two were on the ground. Kama reached up and wrapped around Chiaki's head. Pulling the gamer girl down to cause her discomfort and limit Chiaki's options. "Ngh," Chiaki grunted as she felt a small jolt down her neck into her spine.

The plan Chiaki came up with to counter the Facelock was as follows; Chiaki would start by grapping Kama's arm to pull it off while trying to force it by driving a knee into the stomach of the goddess. If that worked to make Kama lose her hold, Chiaki would keep her grip on the goddess' arm and roll off of Kama to the side, swinging her leg under Kama's arm to put one leg on each side. Then once Chiaki landed on her back, she would drive her hips up into Kama's elbow to try to lock her into an armbar.

Kama was always a step behind in this match. Any offense she attempted, the gamer was easily able to switch things back in her favor. Either the girl was just naturally cool as a cucumber, or she was way to used to adapting on the fly. Given her other occupation, it was probably a bit of both. Maybe it was a mistake to have requested this match so impulsively?

Though the islander got Chiaki's head trapped, she hadn't been able to capitalize fast enough. The gamer quickly reacted, kneeing her in the gut while pulling her head free. "Ngh." Chiaki then followed the motions seamlessly, transitioning into an armbar. "Gaah!" The goddess briefly screamed, pain shooting up her elbow. Finally the first solid hold was applied.

The deity grit her teeth, bearing with the armbar. She had to think quickly, knowing exactly why the gamer had targeted her arm. Kame couldn't let her holds be any weaker than they could be. She swung her feet outwards, before quickly swinging them back towards Chiaki with her body rolling with the motion. If it worked as she intended, she should end up on top of Chiaki, similar to her she was rolling her up for a pin. Kama would follow by trying to yank her arm free from the pinkette's grasp and back away before she could transition into some other hold.

Chiaki felt a surge of confidence once she had successfully locked Kama into an Armbar. The match to this point had been a back and forth, and while the gamer girl had been setting the pace, it still felt good to truly secure something of a lead. Chiaki was still mindful of the situation, however, as while the Armbar was a powerful submission, Chiaki seriously doubted that it could win this match on its own against a wrestler of Kama's caliber.

Sure enough, Kama did soon start to use her legs to try to make something happen. At first it looked kind of like a kick, but that was doubtful, considering there was zero chance that could actually reach Chiaki. What the deity actually did shocked Chiaki, as she used her momentum to roll on top of the pinkette. Kama would get her arm free, but it had to be at the cost of a massive surge of pain shooting through her elbow, assuming the Middleweight didn't injure her arm outright with this stunt.

Chiaki still had to act as though Kama was fully capable, however, since it could be disastrous to act as if the silver haired goddess had injured her arm when in reality she was perfectly fine. The Lightweight would adjust her strategy only once she had proper information on the affects of her armbar and Kama's escape. For now, Chiaki had to prepare to weather the incoming storm that was the deity's offense.

Kama realized her mistake soon after she committed. Rolling atop Chiaki, she felt pain shoot up her arm, a grimace of pain crossing her face from her position. In a normal match, maybe she could have stayed there and either force the girl to let go or get a pin, But this was a submission match, by the deity's own request, so there wasn't any reason for the streamer to loosen, let alone release the hold.

Kama yanked her arm free, taking a few steps back and holding her formerly caught arm. 'That really smarts. Guess that's what I get for that reckless attempt,' the islander thought. She hadn't dislocated her elbow or any other joint, thankfully, but that didn't mean much. Chiaki would likely continue to target the limb, unless the deity could turn the tide to her favor.

Thankfully, whether it just being her job or the islander was grimacing worse than she thought, the official stepped over to check if she could continue. Kama said nothing at first, seemingly to focused on her arm to notice, to lure the ref closer. Not too close, just until she was between the two competitors. When the islander believed the moment was just right, she suddenly would shove the official towards, and into, the streamer. Something aimed to block her view and stagger the lightweight momentarily. If it worked as Kama wanted, she would try and grab at Chiaki's pink locks, pulling her quickly down and under her arm before falling back for a snap DDT.

How Chiaki thought Kama's escape attempt was going to go is pretty much exactly how it went. She wrenched her arm free of the gamer girl's grip, but not without a significant hiss of pain as she got free. What Chiaki didn't expect was for Kama to get off of her. The deity's maneuver had put her on top of the streamer, yet as Chiaki prepared to weather an assault, she instead felt Kama's weight letting up off of her body.

Chiaki stood up after Kama, who seemed to back off in order to examine her arm. The ref seemed to have a similar idea, and went to examine the deity for potential injury. Until suddenly, she saw Kama shove the referee directly towards her. "Huh?!" Chiaki gasped as she suddenly had the striped-shirted woman caught in her arms.

Chiaki couldn't see it coming from behind the referee, but she felt a hand reaching over and grabbing onto her hair. The pinkette could only assume that was Kama's hand. The deity then tried to pull Chiaki forwards into her, but she failed to account for the presence of the referee. The poor woman's presence obstructed whatever it was Kama was attempting, and all three women were sent tumbling to the ground in a tangled heap of limbs and bodies. "Hey hey, what was that all about?" Chiaki pouted as she tried to regain her bearings.

Things could have gone better, Kama thought. She had been planning to use the ref as a distraction by shoving her into the streamer, and that part went perfect. What didn't, however, was when Chiaki didn't move the ref away from her. Whether she had seen through the islander's ploy or not, who would willingly keep the ref so close to them?

Well, Chiaki Nanami would, apparently.

Because of that, everything went tits up as all three fumbled to the ground like a comedy troupe. The laughs they got from the crowd definitely didn't dissuade that notion. 'For fucks sake,' she thought in annoyance, getting the ref and Chiaki off of her. Even if it wasn't the exact plan, it got the streamer down as she wanted. She just had to strike before she got her bearings.

"What do you mean?" The deity asked as Chiaki asked what happened. "An opportunity presented itself, and I tried to take it. Something you can relate to in your games, right?" The deity spoke as she tried moving her opponent onto her side, getting behind her and try to lock in a sleeper hold with her hurt arm around the streamer's neck.

"Or, more practically, when you incited the crowd into a riot to eject Sylvia's posse, and force the ref to search her." The islander aimed to tighten the hold, trying to ignore the ache in her arm. "That's all I did. Just a light playful shove to our dumb official, where you were supposed to move her out of the way. And instead, used she got used as a shield thanks to you. So who's fault is it really?"

Chiaki hadn't quite had the kitchen sink thrown at her yet by Kama, but she felt that the referee getting thrown at her was something pretty close. With the extra body and a blocked line of sight, things got pretty blurry for Chiaki until things had stopped moving. But once she had, the streamer was able to register that she was on the floor, and that Kama was still trying to attack.

"There's a difference between what I did to Sylvia, and what you just did, I think," Chiaki said, grabbing Kama's arm by the wrist and fighting to push it away from her throat. Kama's arm being the one just caught in an Armbar weakened it enough that the gamer girl was able to avoid being overpowered, though it was still straining to keep it at bay.

"Playing to the crowd is legal," Chiaki explained. "Using the referee as a weapon, as far as I'm aware, is not." Kama's arm got closer to the gamer girl's throat as the goddess upped the pressure she was pushing with. "And I didn't have time to get the ref off of me before you were on me." As she continued this contested strength check with Kama to try to avoid her chokehold, Chiaki decided to try to stand herself up to get a better position and to get out of range of her opponent's attack entirely.

Kama grit her teeth in frustration, whilst Chiaki tried defending her actions during Sylvia's match. It all just sounded like yapping out excuses to the islander. "Oh come on. 'Playing to the crowd?' That's not what I'd call inciting them to force the ref to kick the whore's pions out." She pointed out as the streamer kept pulling at her more injured arm to prevent the sleeper from locking in. 'Finding opportunities and exploiting them.' Isn't that what a lot of games are about, little miss gamer?"

Her voice dipped down to a whisper as Chiaki started pushing them up to a standing position with seemingly little opposition from the deity. "Besides, giving an official a little shove isn't close to illegal. Not like I whipped her into you, after all. Just made her a black and white curtain for someone with a slower reaction time than I thought. I'll keep that in mind when I try again, though."

She had no plans to actually do so, but she hoped her words planted an expectation in the back of the gamer's head and try to create a little paranoia. A little mind games never hurt, after all.

Eventually the two returned to a standing base, Kama still trying to get her sleeper in with her weakened arm. Not for long, however, as the islander would try to send Chiaki back down to the mats with a sleeper slam. Hopefully it would stun Chiaki long enough for the islander to sit the streamer up and go behind her, wrapping her legs around her for a bodyscissor. Something had to work, right? And if standard submissions wouldn't work, maybe she'd have to start going to some more on brand for her motif.

"Eh, you probably have a point, I think," Chiaki granted. "It definitely could've been dangerous if the crowd never settled back down, and they do let people get away with a lot in LAW. I know that at some point, hitting the ref definitely becomes against the rules. I wonder what the threshold actually is." Not that the pinkette planned to try to weaponize the ref in her fights, but it still seemed smart to have in mind.

But then Kama said something that really caught Chiaki's attention. Slow reaction time, she thought. The gamer girl had a legendary reaction time, a vital tool to be an elite player of countless games. Chiaki hadn't been expecting to be attacked in the slightest during Kama's wellness check, so she hardly been able to actually process what had happened before the referee had been on her. Reaction time was meaningless if you didn't recognize that there was something to react to. But if Kama was going to act on that assumption, then Chiaki would be more than happy to let her keep thinking that.

Funnily enough, Chiaki's focus on the first part of what Kama said had caused the second part of her words to pass her by entirely. The part the deity actually wanted the pinkette to think about. Though just because Chiaki avoided Kama's mind games didn't mean that she would avoid her actual attack, as she was lifted up when Kama decided to abandon her attempt at a chokehold in order to slam the streamer.

"Ugh," Chiaki let out a groan after impact with the mat, which then turned into a full on yell as Kama clamped her thighs around the gamer girl's torso. She'd quickly start using her arms and legs to try to crawl towards the ropes, very uncomfortable as she did so. "Your legs have a really high strength stat, I think," she said to the goddess.
