Senji was put on his right side, but went to stretch his top leg further out to stop her from flipping him over. Takijima then went to run his right arm near the left side of his neck to defend it from a choke attempt. It'd also divert some hits as it was high enough to cover some of the head behind the limb. Senji disliked that she was higher up on his body. Such a position held great risk to him. The best thing for now is for him to endure the pain to the best of his ability unless Huan held the inclination to transition. She was keeping out of his hands, that was clear.

Senji set the rules of this spar and it would feel dishonest to go easy or to make an opening in this situation. Respect for him as a fighter required her not to hold back and so she wouldn't. Her hits kept coming down on him and now with the back of his head exposed few of them would be aimed exactly there.

Senji clenched his left fist and attempted to overpower her grip on it with brute strength. If he was successful in his new endeavor towards getting out from underneath her, he'd stretch it out and try to grasp Huan's bicep and push against it to prevent her from being able to hit him with her attacking fist. With the attacking arm hopefully restrained, Senji went to try to fully turn back towards Lei before firing off three repeated punches from his right fist towards her jaw. Due to the head strikes, these held a bit of a delay but were still of a respectable speed.

Having not paid attention to the arm she caught Senji would manage to rip it from her grasp and stop her next attack. Next, he would turn and start throwing punches. The first one would find its mark with Huan letting out a groan as it impacted. The second one she would deflect, at the same time wrapping her arm around Senji's one still holding her bicep. She would place his forearm under her armpit and push up at his elbow. When the third strike came her palm would connect with the inside of her student's elbow as she then moved to replicate the hold she had on the other arm.

The hooking had caught a bite, leaving Senji in a disadvantaged but decent situation. Senji's face curled in discomfort as she pushed up on his elbow joint. A light ache was there, the young one's mouth curling into a frown at being put in another hold not of his consent. It'd been worth it though. There weren't any wrong moves in martial arts per se, just ones that were far worse than others. With that said, Senji did choose an okay option. It had got him out of the side position. As a tradeoff, Senji's left arm was ensnared in her grasp. The conflict over domination would continue, with no end for this turn. He needed to get around her underhook, if he remembered correctly.

The man went to reach around her left side. He wanted to get his arm around the back of her neck as to interlock his fingers with the under hooked arm before pulling at it. This would result in, if it was successful, Senji yanking the front of her head into his chest as a method of control. She'd still be in full mount, but he'd have made some progress by keeping Lei close.

As with any foe, Senji was beginning to feel out a possibility for what she was aiming to do. He wasn't dumb. He needed to not be stupid to get where he was. So, the inquiry was if she was trying to weaken his body before locking him in a tap or nap situation? She was very good at strangles and even joint locks, but to a lesser extent than the former.

She could feel Senji's attempt. 'Cleaver' She thought to herself before releasing his left arm and getting to one knee, planting it onto his bicep and pushing down to the mat. The distance she had was good for her and she wasn't about to gamble with a closer grappling. She then applied more pressure onto the elbow.

His grab attempt undershot, the woman going backward to evade. She shifted from over him, bringing her knee to his bicep and putting tension on the muscle. He thought to himself, deciding to take advantage based on an observation, ["She is focused on my left arm. Is it because she knows I'm left handed? Either way..."]

That done, Senji quickly shot his right fist up to bury his knuckles into the side of her chin. Then, he went to reverse the motion to around the halfway point. The purpose of this was to wind up and aim to hit her with an elbow from the same right arm. The target ended up being on the side of her temple to try to overpower Huan on her own terms since she was not being cooperative with his own.

The first punch connected square on the jaw but Huan was used to taking strikes and took next to no pause, while it sure hurt the trick was to not stop the offense when you had the initiative. She saw him bring his arm around for an elbow, faster than she could think her palm was placed on it and pushing to his left. She would let go of the bicep and move higher to allow the space to move as she attempted to roll him over again.

Yellowed eyes narrowed at the movement. Huan wasn't treating this lightly. She was giving him considerable effort, if not all of it within safe limits. But he was keeping up with her! What Senji did next depended on Huan's way of rolling him. Should she roll him to the right, Senji's freed light would shoot up. Fingers wrapped around the side of her head, the young fighter bending his knee and pushing off the ground with his left foot in order to attempt a sweep in that direction. If she tried pushing to the left, Senji tried to replicate the tactically driven movement by hooking Brightspring on the right side of her head and doing a version of the previous sweep to roll them over. To push off he had to use his right foot instead of the left one.

If either plan worked out, Senji would be on top and Huan would on the bottom with him between her legs. Finally, Takijima held his arms poised to defend his chest and head in case of impromptu strikes since he wasn't expecting a submission from Huan just yet.

Her attempt to roll backfired as she was now down. Still, Senji was wrapped in her guard and she could work with that.

Seeing how he got ready for a strike from her Huan decided to exploit that, throwing a punch that looked aimed at his head but instead flew past. She would then grab the back of his neck and pull towards her chest. If she managed that she would move her arm deeper past his neck while getting another one to the front for an Ezekiel choke.
