Mara Ashford vs. Finlay Zeffer - Playful Wager

Holding Finlay in the hammerlock, Mara was planning to put more pressure into the hold in order to weaken him, but Finlay decided to untwist himself out of the hold, getting himself out of the hammerlock before he went for a ripcord clothesline, hitting Mara right at her chest.

"NGHAHH!!"

Mara cried out as she was struck by Finlay's arm. She fell down, face scrunching up in pain. She then rolled herself to her side, gasping for air. For the time being, she was on all four and was left vulnerable before the New Zealander.

Both Finlay and Mara were grapplers at heart, he knew it and she knew it, hell he wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't at least a factor in why the two got along so well. But here Finlay was reminding Mara that he was also fairly strong and capable of intense strikes as well. As shown when he knocked Mara on her ass with the ripcord clothesline.

Looking down at the girl as she rolled over Finlay narrowed his eyes as an eyes came across his mind and he waited, waited until she got up to all fours. The moment she did so, Finlay would move in from behind, aiming to wrap his arms around her waist, unintentionally causing his crotch to press up against her perky butt. If he did so successfully though Finlay would aim to pull back, trying to lift Mara off her feet and arching his back to send her crashing down with a german suplex!

Mara was on the mat after she was taken down by Finlay's ripcord clothesline, gasping for air as she would get herself on all four. Before she could push herself up, the New Zealander then positioned himself behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, pressing up his crotch against her butt. But before she could react to this, she was hoisted up and thrown down onto the mat with a German suplex!

"AAAAGHHHH!!"

Mara cried out as she hit the mat. Her body folded up, her backside sticking up in the air. Her brow scrunched up as she tried to get her mind back in order, but with her being brought down by Finlay's German suplex, she was left disoriented and unable to do much, which would allow Finlay to continue with his momentum.

Things had started in a pitched back forth between Finlay and Mara, not that the blonde had expected anything different when he walked into this match. Knowing full well how skilled Mara was, he wasn't about to underestimate her, nor take her skills for granted. Now however he had managed to take things and turn them in his favor, managing to get behind the Ashford girl and pull her up and over before smacking her into the mat with a German suplex.

Managing to land the move successfully Finlay would release the girl and stand up, observing his handiwork. Though, admittedly he had to keep himself from finding the scene of Mara's ass up in the air from being highly attractive. Shaking his head to clear his mind Finlay would reach down to push her over onto her knees before pulling the girl up by her arm and into a standing position, if successful he would turn and try to irish whip her at the ropes. If successful he would run at Mara as she would rebound off the ropes, taking flight he would attempt to crash into the Ashford with a running crossbody!

Grunting after being taken down by Finlay's German suplex, Mara could feel that Finlay was pulling her up before she was brought into a standing position. Brow furrowing as she tried to recover, Mara was then sent running towards the ropes by her opponent, and she was unable to stop herself as she hit the ropes, rebounding back from them, returning back to where Finlay was.

Upon returning back to Finlay, Mara saw her opponent leaping up before she was hit by his running crossbody. Unable to prevent herself from being hit, she cried out in pain as she was taken down. "AAHHHHN!!" Hitting the mat, she could feel Finlay's weight on top of her, and she was now left breathless underneath him, leaving her vulnerable and exposed to whatever Finlay would do next.

Despite a even start between the two Shadow Fortress graduates Finlay was starting to take the lead in the match up, in no small part due to his size advantage. But in a match such as this any advantage you could get was one you needed to utilize in order to succeed. So managing to take Mara down with the cross body Finlay knew that this would be his best opportunity to press that advantage.

So getting up and off of his foe Finlay would then immediately move towards her legs in order to grab them and lift them up. If successful in getting his arms around her ankles Finlay would then move to turn her over onto her stomach and chest before looking to take a seat on her back and leaning backwards in order to apply pressure with a Boston crab submission!

Mara could feel the weight of Finlay after he hit her with a crossbody. She couldn't help but blush as she felt the contour of his body against hers, though she felt a little disappointed when Finlay got himself off of her. Of course, she didn't have time to recollect herself as her opponent then proceeded to grab her by her legs, lifting them up before he rolled her over onto her stomach so that he could put her into a Boston crab!

"AAAHHHH!!"

Mara cried out as her body was bent in the submission hold. Feeling Finlay sitting on her back as he subjected her to the hold, Mara tried her best to regain her composure so that she could focus on dragging herself towards the nearest ropes to give herself a rope break. But due to the hold, her progress would be slow, and more damage would be accumulated the longer she was held in this Boston crab.

Normally Finlay didn't take too much enjoyment when he was in a advantageous position over his opponent, it just wasn't in his nature. But in this.. He was willing to afford himself a small smirk as he held Mara in the Boston crab, knowing how hard the hold was to escape with a bigger opponent applying it. He could feel them moving towards the ropes but Finlay wasn't too worried about that just yet.. In fact he would up the ante a bit and drop one of Mara's legs, only to grip her other with both hands before pulling back further, applying a vicious single legged Boston crab on Mara!

Mara scrunched up her face as she was being subjected to the Boston crab. She tried crawling her way towards the ropes for a rope break, but with Finlay on her back, her progress would be slow, and she would take more damage the longer she was held in the hold. And then, Finlay decided to change the hold into something else, which was a single-legged variation of the Boston crab, focusing on one of her legs, which was no less painful than the normal one.

"IYAAHHHH!!"

Mara cried out some more as she was put in the single-legged Boston crab. She closed her eyes tightly as she tried to block the pain from affecting her. Even as she cried out in pain, she would continue dragging herself towards the ropes, and she knew that if she managed to get herself a rope break, allowing herself to be released, the damage would already be done, leaving herself in clear disadvantage before her opponent.

So far Finlay had managed to get a good decisive lead against Mara thus far in the contest, locking her in a Boston crab to deal some sustained damage while being relatively protected. Which after seeing the distance she was making towards the ropes Finlay decided to double things down by switching the hold from a full, to a single legged Boston crab, adding onto the pain and doing some extra damage to Mara's leg specifically that he could work on later.

As mentioned however Mara was making good progress towards the ropes, and despite the pain behind the hold he was applying to her she had managed to reach the ropes for a necessary rope break. Nodding to the ref as he was told to release his submission Finlay would do just that, standing and backing off from Mara to give her some space while she got back to her feet. Knowing that she would need it after working her leg over like he had.
