The Young Lioness Cup: Nico Cardona vs. Hikari Morizumi

Nicos moonsault landed precisely and drove the air out her opponent. Nico smiled into the cameras that were filming her, hoping her mother and her family could see her now.
Then the blonde woman got a rude wake up call, when Hikari decided she had enough of Nicos antics and grabbed her, seemingly effortless and lifted her body up.
"Wha-Aaaaii...", Nico yelped as she was shoved off of Hikari so easily.

The next thing the Catalonian knew was that the world had turned around and she landed pretty uncomfortably on her back, getting slammed by her japanese opponent.
"Owowow...", Nico moaned and blinked her eyes as she saw Hikari already on her feet, walking over to her.
But the Blonde was far from done as she threw her legs back and jumped into a standing position.

"OLE!"
She turned around and saw Hikari charging her.
"HEP!"
Nico jumped in the air, using the japanese girls head as leverage and jumped over her, landing behind her pissed of fellow student making the crowd cheer.
"Gracies! Gracies!", she grinned and before Hikari could turn around, Nico swung her leg back and delivered a Pele kick right into the side of her opponent to get her down on the canvas.

Hikari was sure that fallaway slam of hers did some damage to the smaller woman's back. But here is the smaller blond kip up to her feet with ease and even got the crowd to cheer for it. That just ruffles her a bit as it feels like they're treating her as a heel when she is a baby-face as well.

So she is shocked that she is being treated like that, as she would bull rush her way forward trying to get her hands on the smaller blonde... but she instead runs into a Pele kick that stuns Hikari leaving her standing before fall onto her face.

Nico did what she could best and coordinated perfectly around the ring. The sportloving geek was not to be underestimated as she had used every day of her young life to shape her style and fhe Cardona Method was something to behold for sure even if true martial artists would most likely scoff about the mix of different styles

The Blonde swiftly sent a knee to Hikaris head, dropped on her with a moonsault and smiled for the cameras! But Hikari would'nt take Nicos attacks lying down as she grabbed the middleweight and seemingly no problem lifted her up for a hard fallaway slam.

But Nico had been on her toes and hsd still much energy to share as she turned around and brought her football experience into things when she struck Hikari down with a Pele Kick!

Nico landed at her feet and jumped in the air. "Wooohoooo!", she cheered Homer Simpson style and let the fans cheer her efforts. The Blonde ran high over her success over Tanner in the first round and so she was sure she could beat Hikari too and without wasting too much time the Energizer Bunny lept into the ropes, came back and if she could manage it, would baseball slide into Hikaris limp form!

Reeling from the surprise kick that even caught her off guard, Hikari is stunned and not doing so well right now as she is laying face down on the canvas.

Stunned and Defeneless at the moment the young woman would try to pull herself up to her feet... Before being sent sideways from a baseball slide dropkick from her opponent. The impact sends Hikari out of the ring through the bottom ropes, before she crashes into the padded floor holding her nose in pain as she is in serious trouble.

Nico sent Hikari outside and yelped as her fellow young lioness crashed onto the thin mats of the outside.
"AAAAH! Hikari!", she screamed and sled under the bottomropes to look for her fallen comrade.

Nico was, and probably would ever be, the babyface of babyfaces. For her it was all about fairplay. Sure sometimes things got rougher but for a person who always had practiced team sports, the sense of honor and rules were deep routed.

Another wrestler would have come out and jump at her, maybe shove her against the ringpost or grab a weapon.
Not so Nico. The ring was here for something and inside this ring the match would take place!

"Hikari, ho sento molt, are you hurt?",the Blonde asked with big eyes and grabbed for her shoulders, getting Hikari to her feet. The fans both cheered and booed her efforts but Nico only wanted Hikari to be ok.
"Ta-Take your time. It's fine. When you are ready again we go on, ok?",Nico said with a big smile, leaving herself totally open for a counter if Hikari wanted...

Hikari would groan at her landing on the floor, as she cups her nose with her hand gently to make sure nothing is hurting or if it was broken... Thankfully it isn't as she struggles to push herself up to her feet.

Before seeing her opponent do something either very honorable in some eyes or very stupid in her eyes the smaller blond would help her up asking if she is alright and such, such a nice gesture would be taken advantage of by a heel wrestler... Or someone like Hikari who waited for the right moment.

As the young woman would wait till Nico put her arm on her shoulder... That is when Hikari would rear her arm back, and throw it with everything she has in it. Planning on landing a cheap shot Lariat to her naive opponent.

For Nico it was about fighting fair. The catalonian cutie never had accepted bullies bending the rules or even worse, cheat. If you were a good athlethe, with a strong body and mind, you did'nt need to play tricks. Everytime she had seen someone getting bullied at her team, she had tried to intervene, trying to talk things out. It hadn't worked more then it did work, but the Blonde did not let this things making her doubt her own moral code.

Hikari was possibly hurt and if that was the case then Nico had to help her. It was the respect between fighters that led her on. So she slipped out of the ring and helped her hurting opponent up. She knew that she had made herself wide open for an attack but she just could'nt see someone suffering becaus of her.

And then Hikari struck. And she did good because Nico was caught completly off guard, even if she had expected something. Nico was cut down with a lariat, dropping down and slamming the back of her head against the hardest part of the ring, crumbling into a heap and clutching her head, sniffing.
"Ow...",she muttered, tears trickling down form her eyes as she tried to dull the pain in the back of her head.

The crowd starts to boo the young woman after the cheap shot she did to Nico... Even after the smaller blond was checking on her safety, but it doesn't matter to Hikari as she only cares about winning and trying to get a victory in the win column.

As she would pick up the smaller blonde and toss her back into the ring, before sliding in herself as she knows that this is the time to end the match in her favor even if it looks like she is cheating from the dirty cheap shot. Hikari would bend down and grab Nico and turns the other woman around... Before doing a rip-cord motion and jumps trying to slam her knee right into the smaller blond face with her finisher move.

Nico was hurting and usually she could take more then this. But Hikari was strong, much stronger then her it seems and all her athlethicism and tactics didn't help her as the japanese girl took bloody revenge on her.

She slammed Nicos head into the apron before rolling her back into the ring where the Blonde Held her head, whimpering in pain. No...she couldn't lose. She had to win. She would get a big cup like the ones in football tourneys and could give it to her dad. So he would finally accept her. Finally...

But all her dreams of winning this tournament got crushed as Hikari hit her with her finisher. She jumped up and came down, sending her knee brutally into Nicos face!
Her arms and legs dropped into the air before her body went limp, the pain exploded in her face as the blood shot out of her nose. Hikari had gotten her really good. It wasn't a long match, of course this was clear for some rookies, but it was memorable at least, if only for Nicos bloody face as she whimpered and panted, her body softly convulsing from the concussion she had suffered from all the harsh blows to her head.


It was over.

The only words that Nico could comprehend and Form anymore. Over, Over, Over...
Tears came down her eyes, mixing with the blood on her face and the canvas and the crowd booed Hikari now as loud as they could. But Nico didn't hear it. She just heard this word in her head...over and over...

Landing the Trick Roulette finisher to her opponent would have been a thing of proudness in Hikari eyes. Using a move her mother made famous but with a larait instead of the knee to the face.

But this would leave a bitter taste in the young woman mouth as Hikari would lay across Nico chest and hooks the leg for the pinfall attempt.
