Marceline Gagnon vs. Blair Dame - Le Rasoir National

[BlackAkuma]

Blair Dame hadn't forgotten that the rules made the outside of the ring fair game for their fighting, but even a small reprieve would be a welcome one, anything to help her catch her breath and still her mind. She’d expected Marceline to come after her soon and press the advantage.

What she hadn't expected were theatrics, yet that was precisely what she got, as Marceline made a grand show out of the moment, even going so far as to refer to herself in the third-person. Blair Dame was the last person to ever criticize someone for playing to the audience, but she hadn't pegged ‘Madame Guillotine’ for that sort. An error on her part, but an informative one.

She looked on as Marceline backflipped out of the ring - impressive maneuver - and made her way to the floor on the opposite side to start digging under the ring. While she knew that weapons would eventually factor into this match, she hadn't expected them to cross that line so soon. So be it.

Blair Dame made her way to the apron as well and began digging under it, rifling through the bric-a-brac for something useful. All the common items were there, of course. The tables, the fire extinguisher, the chair, the trash can, the kendo stick…

…hm.

To the crowd’s surprise, Blair Dame brought out the kendo stick. Not the weapon she would need to end this match, but a decent choice. She had no intention of using it in the traditional way, however.

She waited until Marceline’s head came back into view on the opposite side of the ring, then stepped away, drew the kendo stick back, and hurled it through the rope and across the ring like a javelin, aiming at her face.

The match had been going just about as well as she could have hoped for to start with. She'd managed to wear down her opponent's limbs, especially her legs a good amount. She'd targeted her neck to sofened it up for the eventual conclusion of the match with an axe kick, forearm to the throat and a snap DDT that followed a knee to the torso. Yet here she was scrambling around for weapons at the ringside.

Had Blair not rolled out of the ring, she wouldn't be doing this, she'd have kept hammering away at her in a striking and grappling battle. She'd probably even got carried away at some point and had things turned around her. It was the escape to the outside that prompted Marceline to refocus on the match stipulations, which called for foreign objects.

It didn't take too long for Marceline to find the first object she was looking for. A rather long length of steel chain, which she kept on realing out to ringside, at the sound of a crowd growing into an ever louder frenzy. She had very cruel in tentions for the chain later, but she preferred that Blair not even know she pulled it out. Which was why she made sure to keep below the apron with it.

Marceline had managed to find a trash can lid as well while she was underneath, so she placed it on top of the lenth of chain to further conceal it. The first item that she would openly arm herself with, would be the one that everyone had already been expecting given the stipulations of the match, a steel chair. With it in hand, it was only now that she peaked up above the ring apron.

To her shock and surprise, that was when she saw a kendo stick hurled at her like a javelin. Instinctively, she only just managed to get the steel chair up in time to block the throw, which sent the stick clattering down to the ground. Right next to the garbage can lid, in fact. Which gave Marceline an excellent idea.

Hardcore wrestling was, admittedly, not Blair Dame’s forte.

This wasn't her first match under this stipulation, mind you. You would be hard-pressed to find any wrestler her age who had never engaged in such a contest, or at least their fair share of No Disqualification bouts. But these sorts of matches with weapons and plunder were outside of her wheelhouse, most of the time. She much preferred to deal punishment with her body, not because of fair play, but because it was just so much more rewarding.

But Marceline had no such limits, it seemed. When in Rome…

So far, her success in this arena was less than spectacular. To her surprise, Marceline proved to have greater reflexes for unorthodox attacks than she would’ve guessed, as she managed to get a chair up at the last few seconds to block the attack. Quick thinking, good reflexes.

She was going to have to do this the hard way, then. She pulled out another kendo stick, gripped it tight, and made her way around the ring with hurried steps, rounding one corner, then the other.

Subtlety was already out of the window, so she decided she might as well roll with it - as soon as she was close, she lashed out, swinging wide and looking to strike Marceline in the ribs.

Marceline would reach down to grab the garbage can lid by its handle with her left hand, then picked up the kendo stick in her right hand, holding the lid as though it were a shield, the kendo stick as if it were a spear and wielding them together as though she were a Greek hoplite. By now Blair was making her way around the ring toward her and Marceline would rush to meet her foe, intercepting her near, a set of steel steps behind.

Blair herself was armed, with a new knedo stick, which she proceeded to swing wide towards her ribs. Marceline's response would be to put out her 'shield' to block the blow.

« Je t'empale, chienne ! »

Marceline yelled as she attempted to follow up the block with driving her own kendo stick into Blair's torso, aiming, again, for her solar plexus, hoping to both bend her forward and take the air out of her.

If she was successful in doing that, she'd charge forward, attempting to bash the upper part of her makeshift shield into her opponent's head and force her backward into the steel steps behind her, proceeding keep pressing her against them.

As fierce of a foe as Marceline proved to be in traditional combat, the idea of engaging her weapon for weapon appealed to Blair Dame even less. That was the game of women who had years, even decades, of time left in the sport, who could afford to be battered with chairs and put through tables with reckless abandon.

Blair Dame, for her part, was in her twilight, and while she was far tougher than a woman her age had any right to be, she had limits and knew them well. She would rather not spend the rest of her waning years in a wheelchair.

But such was the path, and she would walk down it, regardless. She came Marceline’s way with a weapon in hand, only to find her foe waiting in a gladiator’s stance. It would’ve almost been worth a laugh, if the woman wasn’t such of a mind to cave her skull in, but the sight didn't deter Blair from lashing out.

Marceline blocked the blow, however, and countered with one of her driving her own stick into Blair Dame’s gut and driving a hoarse cry out of her. Then came the trashcan lid itself, pressed against her as her foe made a mad charge forward, driving her hard towards the steel steps.

Enough was enough.

Blair Dame brought her leg up as they neared the steps and planted her heel on the top on, stopping the charge and bracing against it. With the metal as a base, she dropped her own stick, drove forward, and threw a hard left cross around Marceline’s guard, trying to strike her foe clean in the face, hopefully enough to take some venom out of the woman’s bite.

Blair's punch sailed clean over her the trash can lid, its trajectory partially concealed by the lid itself, allowing it to hit her clean in the face. Not only that, combined with Marceline not being set because she was driving forward, the blow actually managed to knock he off her feet and down toward the ground first her but and lower back hit the floor, the whipped down her head on the padded concrete. The too impacts were by far two hardest that she'd faced all match and both to her head, first her face, then the back.

Unsurprisingly, she lost her grip on both the kendo stick and the trash can lid from the impact. If she hadn't she'd have let it go anyway. She grabbed at her face, feeling around if anything was broken her bleeding. Nothing, yet, which was just about the best thing she had going for her. She'd just taken a punch square to the face from a woman whose strike were her primary weapon. A punch she'd run into, a punch that had the steel steps to brace against to add power. From a powerhouse of a woman more or less her own size.

Ultimately though, in a moment like this size only worked in the favor of the attacker. This was not a blow to Marceline's torso, or limbs, all of which were far bigger and tougher than the average woman's, this was a blow to her face. The head of a lightweight barely clearing 5 feet as not much more fragile than the face of some like Marceline.

Joints weren't that much different, either, nor was the neck, which was why those were always her prime targets. It was also why her most cherished move was La Monte-à-regret, her muscle buster, which used her own opponent's own opponent's weight against them, making it more devestating on a heavyweight than a lightweight.

Not that Marceline was thinking about any of that in the moment. All she was thinking about was how much her head hurt and how much she wanted to hurt Blair's head more than she was feeling.

Blair Dame was, of course, known for her phenomenal legs. Those legs had managed to actually knock a woman clean out just a few weeks ago, when she tangled with the JOB Squad, three on one. Poor Brittany probably couldn't breathe through her nose for a whole week after that.

She would’ve much preferred to give Marceline the same treatment - and she would, she was certain. Until she had that chance, though, she would settle for simply bashing her opponent in the face.

That wasn’t to say it wasn’t satisfying, either, as she felt the impact travel through her body and connect clean on Marceline’s skull, the best hit she’d enjoyed so far in this matchup. Even she wasn’t so confident as to believe that this would take the wind out of Marceline’s sails for more than a couple of seconds, however. She needed to make something of it.

This match was about neck trauma? Blair Dame could do neck trauma.

With Marceline stunned, Blair swiftly stepped around around the woman, grabbed her waist from the side, and pulled her in so that her chest was against the woman’s broad back. It would only hold her for a second, but a second was all she needed - that would be more than enough time for her to plant her feet, arch her back, lift Marcelina up, and attempt to send her neck and shoulder flying for a nasty crash into the barricade, where a great deal of pain awaited her.
