Valerie felt like she had to manually operate her lung just to get the proper oxygen intake she needed to stay awake, as she was still dealing with an extremely heavy dose of her own medicine. Old Alaina might’ve been, but the woman could still summon enough power to his like a runaway Mack truck, and she had amply demonstrated her power with that vicious spear.

Valerie’s inside churned, but she was aware enough to realize that Alaina hadn't followed up on her yet. She couldn't say for sure what that meant, but she wagered thath her opponent was getting ready for something big. She just had to figure out where she was, if…

Valerie saw Alaina impossibly soaring through the air, coming down from on high at an alarming rate. She gritted her teeth and tried to roll out of the way, but her body didn’t respond the way she needed it to. Not enough energy. Not nearly enough.

All she could do was brace for impact, and that wasn’t quite enough. Alaina hit and hit hard, making their bodies bounce off from impact with enough force to make Valerie flop over to her chest. Hurting even worst than before, all she could do now was curl up and try her best to endure the mounting pain, fighting to stay aware of her environment through it.

She was not unscathed from the landing mind you but she knew Valley had it worse. Alaina adjusted herself, reaching down to hook a leg and pull it tight holding her breath as she attempted a pin.

The official saw this and quickly slid into place to begin the count.
