Valerie’s German Suplex was bread-and-butter, a move she’d executed so many times that it was practically reflexive. The one she gave to Alaina, however, had a bit more pepper than usual. A little harder, a little further, driven down with all the power she could muster. Nothing less would faze the Amazon, she figured.

And she was right. Valerie rolled over to see the Amazon reeling, utterly rocked by the hellacious impact, not looking like she’d be getting up anytime soon. The best opening she could’ve asked for.

Not wanting to let it go to waste, she was quick to move in and grab Alaina’s ankle, securing a tight hold before she pulled her back towards the center of the ring. Once they were far enough for the ropes, she flipped to woman onto her chest, secured the ankle under her armpit, sat back on her spine, and attempted to pull her into a tight single-leg Boston Crab, putting the older woman’s flexibility to the test.

Alaina felt herself being dragged and she grunted as she slid. Alaina knew she had to act but her body just wasn't responding as quickly as her mind wanted it to. She shook her head knowing that Valley was on a roll. A rolling Valley Doll in any generation was a bad thing for the other woman in the ring.

Alaina was proven correct when Valley rolled her over and wrenched back on one leg causing quite a shout of pain from the older wrestler! Alaina shook her head, thrashed side to side as much as she could while her free leg kicked, flailing about. She was stuck again and knew that this hold was going to really hurt. She grit her teeth rocking side to side as much as she could. This was rough and she knew she was going to be drained by it given the pain as well as her opponents solid hold. If she couldn't thrash, buck and kick her way out she would have to begin crawling towards the ropes on the other side of the ring...

Valerie kept her grip tight, planted her feet, and proceeded to turn herself in a living weight, as she tried her best to keep the heavyweight pinned with the Boston Crab. It might’ve looked like a simple hold - and it was - but she knew well the sort of damage you could do with a move like this. The longer she kept it locked the better her chances would be.

Of course, there was only so long she could hope to keep a woman with such a size advantage on her down, and sure enough, Alaina was steadily making her way to the ropes. Instead of letting her get the rope break, Valerie dropped the hold just before she got that far, spun about, reached down, and tried to wrap her arms around the woman’s neck and drag her back to the center of the ring, wanting to maintain control of her opponent for as long as possible.

Alaina was close when the hold dropped and she felt her head yanked back! "Ngh! Damn it!" Alaina groaned as she was being pulled back painfully! Alaina kicked and thrashed reaching uo to contest Valley's grip as best she could!

She was now being dragged around in a way she wasn't used to and she hated it. Sure Valley was much younger but Alaina felt like she still had gas in the tank, although maybe she was being forced to admit less than she thought even a few months ago.

Valerie was trying to exercise some cautious optimism here, so she didn’t get too carried away with the moment and let this match get away from her. But it was a little hard not to feel good about her current position. She was only keeping a former champion locked down, but a veteran and a woman out of her own weight class. That was a feat anyone could be proud of.

It egged her on as she cranked the hold, applying more and more force to the woman’s neck and securing the sleeper. ”It might be a good idea to tap, Ms. Sanders.” She tried to keep her tone respectful. As respectful as one could be while choking the life out of someone else. ”I don’t want to put you to sleep, but…”

Alaina was thrashing about and struggling, and she actually looked to be desperate! Alaina kept bucking and thrusting side to side while reaching up and pulling at Valley's grip on her head. She let out a scream that echoed through the arena while she was struggling. Alaina was giving this attempt to rock, thrust and pull at Valley's grip everything she had as if the match depended on it. Indeed it just might have...

Alaina wasn't used to being quickly caught up like this, not after a solid stretch of her own. Valley weathered it and was coming back with a vengeance. That worried the amazon.

Valerie would say this much for Alaina, on top of everything else: the woman was stubborn. There was the size difference to consider, sure, but she was reasonably certain that wouldn’t have mattered, either way - someone with a drive like this was just hard to overcome.

Even now, as she tried to choke the woman out, she kept fighting, making the hold untenable. It was only a matter of time before she powered her way out.

So, once again, Valerie tried to cut her off before that happened. She gave the woman one, final squeeze, then abruptly dropped the hold altogether and broke away, running in the opposite direction. She hit the ropes, came bouncing back, brought her arm up, and attempted to deliver a powerful lariat to Alaina’s head, hoping that would finally knock the fight out of her.

Alaina was struggling up when Valley came bouncing off the roped. Alaina was trying to rise so she could brace herself, move, something. Anything.

However Valley crashed into her before any of that happened and the amazon groaned as sge fell right back down to the mat on her back with a loud crash. She groaned and laid there with her arms covering her face as she meekly kicked the mat in agony.

As Valerie continued her onslaught, she couldn't help but worry - just a little - about Alaina’s health. Counterproductive as it was to have those thoughts about a woman you’re trying to beat to a pulp, this was still Alaina Sanders. The last thing she wanted was to be known as the woman who put a legend in the hospital, or even worse.

She did her best to push those thoughts aside and do her job, nailing the Amazon with another hard hit and dropping her to the canvas. Though she doubted it would be enough to win the match, she wanted to keep the pressure up and gauge how hurt Alaina was, and there was one good way to do that.

Valerie threw herself over Alaina’s body, secured her leg, and leaned in for a pinfall attempt, with the referee quickly sliding over to start the count.

”1…!”
