”Fuck, now I remember this prick!”
Alex - who’d been idly thumbing through her phone - looked up long enough to give Arthur a bemused looked, one she made sure he saw. He’d been prattling on all day about how the name ‘Kyo Akamatsu’ was familiar to him, ever since they’d announced she and Betty would have a match against the two siblings, and while she was glad he finally got those neurons firing, she would’ve preferred he not do it right before their match began. The three of them had found a nice, quiet spot to rest in before the match, and she was enjoying the relative solitude. Just the three of them, in their little world.
Oh, and the stagehand who had burst in to tell them that this was a private room and they were supposed to get out. Said stagehand was currently sitting on the floor, being choked out by Betty’s thighs in a brutal headscissor as she sat in a swivel chair. But he was mostly silent, what with constantly being on the verge of consciousness.
There was an awkward silence from Arthur, likely him waiting for either her or Betty to perk up and prod him to continue. When that didn’t happen and they only gave him blank looks, he continued on, heedless. ”My old man used to talk about his old man all the time. He was a big fan of his, back in the day, stuffy old codger. Want to sign him, never got the chance to before he bit it.”
Alex rolled her tongue around her cheek - her first thought was something akin to ‘so what?’, but her second thoughts were a little more interesting. She could see Betty rolled her eyes about, processing, too, but she rarely had a thought she wasn’t willing to share with the world, so out it came. ”Maybe he has Daddy issues. Like someone else we know.” She wagged a finger his way. ”We could use that, too…hold up, one second.”
Betty’s victim was stirring again, and she started to scissor him once more. Before she locked it in, though, a better idea occurred. Instead, she unlocked her thighs, pulled his head back, and dropped her plump butt square on his face, smothering him instead and letting him struggle weakly, while she planted her heel firmly firmly on his crotch.
”So we could use that.” She continued, as casual as if she’d just been interrupted by a poorly timed burp. ”Get in their heads a bit.”
”My thoughts exactly.” Arthur nodded along. ”If they’re anything like their old man, they’re the honorable type. Old school. Fuck around with them a bit and they’ll start going spastic.”
It all sounded good on paper, sure, but Alex suspected things would be a touch more complicated. From what she knew of the Akamatsus, they had more than enough experience to handle being riled up like that, and making things personal could worsen the situation, not improve. This was already going to be a steep hill to climb, though.
Alex kept those thoughts to herself for now, though, as her phone vibrated and sent an alert her way - they were being called to the gorilla position for the match. ”We’ll see how it plays out. Let’s just focus on handling business, throw in the extra stuff if we need to.” She stood up and motioned for them to follow. ”Show time. Let’s go.”
, with their thumping all around them. Betty was dancing to it, swearing and shaking and generally being a delight to the crowd, while Alex took up her position in the corner and enjoyed the show. All while Arthur prowled around the ring.
”I know what you’re doing, you’re a freak like me…”

Re: The Akamatsus vs. Bambi and Thumper - Odd Man Out
"Bambi and Thumper," Kyo mused to himself, looking at the match listing on his phone. "Hmmm. I'm going to guess that one of them is an all-rounder, the other a striker."
From where she sat lacing up her boots, Makie turned to glance at her brother. "Huh? What makes you say that?"
"Call it a hunch, from looking at their names," Kyo mused. "Bambi was the ring name of Selina Majors, who wrestled in the late 80s and early 90s for LPWA and then WCW. She feuded with the likes of Madusa and Peggy Lee Leather, and she was a decent, if somewhat vicious, all-rounder. And Thumper...well, again, the name suggests she is very good at striking. I am guessing either a boxing or Muay Thai background, so plenty of hard hitting punches or kicks." He paused from looking at his phone and frowned. "What's so funny?"
Makie was busy holding in her laughter. "You...you really don't get the reference?"
"What reference?"
"Bambi and Thumper!" She couldn't hold back her laughter at that point. "From Bambi! The Disney movie!"
"There's a Disney movie called Bambi?"
"Oh my god!" Makie was doubling over now, giggling as she slapped at the bench. "You know ALL of this wrestling trivia from the 80s and 90s, but you don't know about Disney movies?"
Kyo gave her an irritated look. "I know about wrestling facts from the 60s all the way to the present day, I'll have you know," he replied. "And I know...a bit about Disney movies. Bambi is the one with the lion that is destined to be king of the jungle, right?"
"AHAHAHA NO, that's The Lion King! It's literally in the name!" Makie was hurting herself laughing now. She took a few deep breaths to restrain herself, and sat back up, smiling. "Oh my god, bro, you're impossible. Bambi is the one with about the young deer and his forest friends."
Kyo's face became more solemn. "Oh. I remember watching that one with mom when I was kid. It actually made me pretty sad at the time." He seemed lost in thought for a few seconds, before glancing back up at Makie. "So...they named themselves after a deer and...a rabbit? Those aren't exactly intimidating ring names."
Before Makie could try to explain any further to Kyo, their ring music came on. Without waiting any further, the two of them

The fans cheered as the two siblings made their way into the arena. Makie, as usual, was exuberant, rushing down the ramp to hi-five fans. Kyo, as usual, held himself with a little more self control and dignity. Both of them, regardless, made their way steadily down the ramp, where the rival tag team was waiting.
The two of them took a few vital seconds to analyze their opponents. One was a tall, amazonian woman with short cropped hair that had been dyed white with red tips; she had a slender yet powerful build to her. The other one-- shorter, even more slight of build-- had pink hair done into two buns, and a bandage over her nose suggestive of a bruise or a break. Both carried themselves with an easy, almost aggressive confidence.
Oh, and there was a tall, broad, dark-haired man practically prowling the outside of the ring, looking at the two of them as well. A valet, perhaps? A manager? A sibling, or their boyfriend?
Kyo paid the man no heed as he slid into the ring, meeting the stares of Bambi and Thumper with one of his own. "So," he said, steadily, "Bambi and Thumper I presume?" He glanced at them, from tallest to shortest. "So you would be the deer, then, and you're the rabbit?"
Despite herself, Makie once again had to restrain herself from doubling over laughing.

Re: The Akamatsus vs. Bambi and Thumper - Odd Man Out
Betty had stopped bouncing as their music died down, but she started up once more when their opponents came back on. Heavy guitar riff, fast-paced, a little dirty. She didn't understand a word of it, but it was something she could sway her hips to and give Alex a little show before they started. She looked over her shoulder, and sure enough, her big girl-toy was focused on all of her favorite body parts. It helped her get in the mood for a fight. That was what Betty believed, anyway.
She brought her attention to their opponents when they entered the ring, still swaying a bit as she looked their way, and the sights brought a slim smile across her lips. Brother and sister, the family resemblance leaped out at you. Kyo, strong and tall, good shoulders, impressive physique, looked like he and Arthur followed the same workout routine. Makie, small and lean, but good boy, looked athletic.
They looked fun, which was the important thing. Betty could see herself having fun with either of them, though she’d probably just focus on Makie for the most part. She did really need to get around to telling Alex she swung both ways, but this probably wasn’t the best time to drop that little factoid.
Betty leaned forward, about to say something smug and maybe seductive, when Kyo spoke up and said what she initially thought to be the most random collection of words she’d ever heard. She blinked, confused, then turned to her better half for her take.
Alex stopped looking at her jiggling cheeks long enough to meet her eyes. ”The cartoon, babe.”
”Oh, riiiiiiiiight.” She smacked her forehead and turned back. ”I’d be be Bambi, she’s Thumper, but don’t think too much on the stage names. Our boss’s a big James Bond fan, the name’s come from one of those movies.”
”Diamonds Are Forever.”
”Bingo. I’m Betty, the chatterbox is Alex.” She started bouncing on her heels, her ADHD in full effect. ”Who goes first? You and Alex can butt heads if you’re kicking off, big man. But you…” Betty canted her head to the side, getting a better look at Makie. ”I’d like to get to know you a little bit, sweetness.”
