The match was over. Aizen was sure of it. There hadn't been any flaw in his technique, he hadn't messed up or missed with anything, it had been a flawless execution. This was how things were supposed to go - he landed his finishing move, and the match was over. Strong as Erika was, this would put her down.
So, naturally, she kicked out.
Though, to call it a kickout would be a touch too simple. It would be more accurate to say she exploded out the pin, launching Aizen away and sending him rolling. The crowd was suitably impressed, though that wasn’t the best word to describe his current feelings. ‘Shocked’ worked better.
Panic was setting in, as Aizen saw his chances at winning this match slip away, but he did his level best to keep it under control - that wasn’t going to help, never did. Instead, he rolled back over, grabbed her arm, pulled it between his legs, and tried to clasp her ankles behind her head to create a triangle choke, hoping that would be enough to take the air out of her and finally put this beast of a woman down. Strong as she was, she still needed to breathe.

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Erika was breathing hard as she rolled away. She had to hand it to Aizen: she was making her put up a sweat, and actually had her breathing a little hard now. Not many opponents in his weight class could accomplish such a feat.
And he wasn't content to let her stay down, either, as a second later, she felt her arm behind scissored, and Aizen's legs clamping hard around her throat. Her eyes widened as she realized exactly what Aizen was doing, trying to sap her strength with a triangle choke. A smart move, but not one that was going to work on her.
"Not bad," she rasped as her throat was squeezed. "You'd better hold on tightly, though."
So saying, Erika would use her free hand to push against the mat, and roll with the momentum, trying to get up to her feet, all the while Aizen was still latched around her head. Slowly but surely, the Canadian giantess would try to power upwards, her muscular body glistening with sweaty effort, grunting and rasping with exertion as she tried to get her feet under her with all of Aizen's weight on her upper back and only one arm available...before suddenly powering backwards, aiming to slam Aizen back-first agaisnt the turnbuckle!

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Calm. Aizen needed to calm down.
As impressive as Erika was, she wasn’t the one beating him. Not mentally, anyway. She was friendly, cordial. No, he was letting the intimidation getting the better of him. Psyching himself out, without her even doing a thing.
It wasn’t the easiest pill to swallow, but swallow it he did as Erika rose again, standing up despite him powering down on the hold. He could already guess what her move would be, but he pushed that concern out of his mind. He needed to make the most of his time, squeeze her as much as he could, until…
The crash into the turnbuckle was a hard one, driving the wind out of Aizen and making his body seized up. He gritted his teeth and held on as best as he could, but it took a lot of the power from his arms - he was hanging out, but the force was gone, changing his move from a genuine threat to a minor annoyance.

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
The turnbuckle shook from the combined weight of Erika and Aizen slamming into it. The crowd collectively winced at the impact, as Aizen was crushed literally between a rock and a hard place. To Aizen's immense credit, he didn't let go, but his grip did dramatically weaken. Enough for Erika to grab the back of his head and simply pull him off her back like a damp sweater.
"Nice try there, Aizen buddy!" Erika panted, still cheerful as she lifted Aizen upside down. And then it was a simple matter of dropping down to her knees, piledtiving Aizen head-first into the mat!

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Aizen was starting to dip into a special place, one he didn’t often get to in his matches. It had been a while, a good long time, since he’d been truly desperate in a fight - usually, he was in control, calm and focused. Even when he lost, he never felt things get desperate. He’d been beaten before, but it rare for him to truly get brutalized - not like this. Never like this.
It wasn’t about to get any better, either, as Erika scooped him up once more with frightening ease and held him upside down, the prelude to a piledriver. At this stage, a move like that would put him down for a three count, no question. Might even knock him out.
His window was small, but he dove through it all the same. As she pulled him up, he brought his leg back and tried to ram it hard into Erika’s face, hoping he could bring the move to a halt before hia skull was spiked into the canvas.

Erika showed almost now effort as she lifted Aizen upside down in preparation for a piledriver. With this much force and weight behind the move, she figured, it would be more than enough to KO him for a swift and decisive win. For added measure, she clamped her powerful thighs around his head to secure him tightly. "Don't worry, Aizen buddy," she said, "I'm a pro at this, I've done this move dozens of times, so you PROBABLY won't come out of this with a concussion--"
And then, just like that, his leg shot forward, hammering a knee square into her nose.
With an alarm gasped, Erika released Aizen, letting him tumble to the mat as she staggered back into the corner. "AUUGH! Cub odd!" she exclaimed, clutching her nose and inadvertently muffling her speech. She was reasonably sure Aizen hadn't broken it, but unfortunately the damage had been done and the man was now free...

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Needless to say, Aizen was not terribly assured by Erika’s promise that he wasn’t going to come out of this with a concussion. At any rate, he wasn’t of a mind to try and find out the truth of it with himself as a guinea pig. He wanted out of this. Immediately.
The knee worked, better than he could’ve hoped. As tough as this woman was, she still had a skull with a brain inside, and that tended to react poorly. He rolled away as he was unceremoniously dropped, and turned about to see her coming up in the corner, holding her nose, stunned.
There was his chance, the best one she could’ve asked for. With her reeling in the corner, Aizen towards her, lifted her leg, and swung her knee towards her the side of her head at maximum velocity, looking to strike her temple with another one of his finishing maneuvers - Hanuman Visits Lanka.

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Erika growled softly under her breath as she felt her nose. Nothing was broken, and it wasn't bleeding, though it wouldn't be the first time either had happened in the ring. Honestly, if Aizen had managed to draw her blood, Erika would have been a little more impressed with her male opponent. Though that being said, that knee of his had rattled her pretty good; her balance felt uncertain, and her vision was swirling a little. Not so bad, though, that she didn't know where Aizen was.
With a roar, she lunged forward to nail him with a clothesline...
...and ran right into a kick that hammered hard into her midsection. Her abs absorbed the blow, but she was staggered all the same. She swung her forearm at him in a punch...
...and watched, too slow to react, as Aizen fluidly stepped inside her guard and leaped upward, pistoning a knee right into her chin.
Erika felt something go crunch, and her vision went haywire as she went toppling backwards, hitting the mat with a crash. Around them, the crowd went wild as Aizen had just seemingly knocked the Canadian giant out with a single, decisive blow!

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Aizen wasn’t an expert on the science of concussions, but he had taken more than his fair and suffered a few of them besides. He knew the sort of it that could create them, so when his knee crashing into Erika’s skull and the impact traveled through his body, he could say with some reasonable certainty that his opponent had one.
Whether it was serious head trauma or not, he supposed it did the job. Erika was brought down hard, crashing like a fallen tree trunk, hitting the canvas only a moment after his body did the same. The crowd was losing their minds, but he wasn’t paying any attention to them - no, his sole focus was on pulling her by the arm, getting her away from the ropes then throwing himself onto her upper body.
Her legs were too far away and too heavy for him to grab, so he had to settle for just draping over her body and hoping that would be enough to finally clinch it. He would find out in a moment, one way or another. Or three moments, to be specific.

Re: Erika 'LeDestroyer' LaVoy vs. Aizen Yuzuriha - One More Chance
Erika was barely conscious of the fact that she was moving-- of how Aizen was striving to move her onto her back. A part of her was conscious of this, and yet, her body wouldn't respond. As the audience watched, in tense excitement, Aizen laid the Canadian giantess on her back and lay across her, covering her for a pinfall. Erika was barely reactring, and for a moment, the crowd wondered if this was it: if Aizen had just pulled out an underdog victory against his much more massive opponent.
"2...!"
And then, just as the hand came down for three, Erika lurched upright.
It happened so suddenly the audience couldn't believe it. At first Erika had been lying on her back, looking all but unconscious; the next she was suddenly sitting upright, Aizen's weight seemingly as nothing to her as she blinked rheumily like someone waking up from a rough night.
"Nnngh...that...actually hurt..." she mumbled, still looking fairly out of it.
