Kyo cinched the crossface in tightly, wrenching her head back tightly, giving her only a narrow window of vision as his forearm crossed over her mouth and one of her eyes. He held his breath, his cheek resting against the back of Valerie's head as she shrieked, jerking her head left and right in response to the referee's question. Kyo had seen many wrestlers tap out to this hold; even he had tapped out to it once or twice. But Valerie, true to form, was fighting on.
Just as Kyo had expected, Valerie inevitably made the crawl to the ropes, snagging the bottom one with her boot. Taking a deep breath, Kyo pushed himself up to his knees, grabbing at Valerie's head to pull her up as well. The weariness of this match was starting to seep into his bones, but he couldn't stop. Not while his opponent was leading in points.
Moving to hook Valerie's arms under his, Kyo tried to keep her under him as he pulled them both to their feet. He had to keep hammering that back of hers, and sometimes the most inelegant solution was the best. Taking a deep breath, Kyo would drop backwards, using his grip around Valley's arms to flip her hard onto her back in a simple, but effective, suplex!

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
It took no small amount of effort, but somehow, someway, Valerie had managed to reach the ropes and earn her release, touching the bottom rope with her foot just as she felt her body beginning to tear. Some opponents might have held on and milked the five-count, but, thankfully, Kyo was much more honorable than that. At the referee’s urging, he released the hold and gave her the relief she was craving.
A momentary freedom, one she couldn’t enjoy for long, as Kyo moved to pull her back up, forcing her to stand. With their bodies so close, she could feel his weight, sense the way he was bracing himself—the telltale signs of an incoming suplex.
It wasn’t going to happen. As he began to lift her up, Valerie shot her leg out and wrapped it around his calf, clinging on top and anchoring herself. It would only stop him for a moment while he readjusted, but that was all she needed. Instead of leting him do as he pleased, Valerie planted her feet, pushed forward, and attempted to ram his body against the turnbuckle, driving him hard with all the force she could muster.

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
Kyo felt Valerie sagging on her feet as he hauled her up. This match was taking a toll on her, he knew, as it was on him. The sooner he ended this, he thought, the better, for both of their sakes.
Valerie, however, had other ideas: as Kyo locked her arms, Valerie shot a leg out, wrapping around one of his own. The movement caused him to lose balance ever so slightly, leaning a little closer against Valerie's broadly muscled back in the process. Leaving his head pressed perilously close to her butt
And then Valerie suddenly surged forward. Unable to stop her, Kyo suddenly felt like a red flag in the face of a charging bull. He was momentarily lifted off of his feet...before his back collided with the turnbuckle. A ragged gasp escaped Kyo's lips as white hot pain flooded his spine, and then he slumped over, like a marionette with its strings cut, heaving raggedly for breath as he leaned on Valerie for support...

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
To say that Valerie was significantly drained would be an understatement, and a huge on at that. Really, it was taking all she had not to simply keel over at any given moment, requiring her to summon reserves that she didn’t even know she had. The only silver lining was to know that Kyo was in a similar spot, but that wouldn’t matter much if she couldn't end this and do it soon.
To that end, she put her all into ramming Kyo into the corner, and got some decent results out of it, forcing him to keel over after she backed away. And keep backing away she did, putting some space between them until she was just past the center of the ring.
Valerie dropped to a knee and planted her fist on the ground, taking a three-point stance. The moment Kyo came out of the corner, she fully intended to come charging out at full speed, looking to duck down, ram her shoulder into his stomach, and bring him crashing down with a stiff Spear.

.Kyo nearly fell over at that point. Without Valerie propping him up, gravity took over, and he nearly toppled onto his front. He had no idea what kind of instinct kicked in for him to grab at the rope and prevent a fall, instead slumping drunkenly back against the corner. Given how badly he was hurting though, that was all he could do.
Breathing hard, he forced an eye open. Just in time to see Valerie lunging at him bodily for a spear.
Something kicked in at that point, forcing him to move. And move he did, lazily throwing himself to the side, inelegantly, to avoid getting mashed between Valerie and the corner post for a second time...

No.
Too much momentum, too fast, too everything. Valerie had thrown her all into this Spear, staked the match on it, and in the last second, all of that backfired. Kyo moved out of the way, just in time - too early for her to stop herself, but with enough time to fully grasp what was about to happen and realize what it would mean.
Valerie’s skull rammed off the middle pad with a sickening crack, one that left the whole ring shuddering, and she flopped to the canvas from there. Still conscious, still awake, but her body was a slow moving wreck. All she could do was sluggishly try to push her way up, and she wasn’t even sure she could make it to her feet, let alone do it with Kyo hounding her. Speaking of which…

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
That, Kyo had thought to himself, had been close.
As he had thrown himself sideways, he, like everyone else, had hard the crack of Valerie's head slamming into the turnbuckle. The end result of that was that the blonde powerhouse was now lying on her back, utterly stunned after what had undoubtedly been a brutal impact.
A part of him was worried that Valerie may have concussed herself; he didn't have much time to worry about that, though. Weakly, he crawled over to her and lay across her, his head resting on the side of her chest as he covered her for a tired pinfall.
In an instant, the countdown began. "ONE..."

Valerie was reasonably sure she didn’t have a concussion, but honestly? That was what she would’ve thought if she did actually have one. That was the tricky thing with them, they tended to ruin your mental process, made determining things impossible. You lost track of space, of time…
”2…!”
Case in point.
Valerie’s eyes shot wide when she heard the second count, only just now even realizing that she was being pinned. She shot up with an explosive burst of energy, just enough to shove Kyo off, before she flopped back down and rolled over to her side, utterly spent from even that motion.

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
And then, once again, Valerie twisted under Kyo, narrowly getting a shoulder up.
The movement caused Kyo to flop down onto his side; breathing hard, he rolled over onto his hands and knees, sweat now glistening on his upper body and dripping from his damp hair. Even after a full head-first collision with the turnbuckle, Valerie still wasn't being pinned. He would have to find another way to score this fall. There was no way around it, he would have to use his finisher on her.
Gingerly, Kyo shoved Valerie onto her front. Pushing himself to his feet, he would grab for her boots and try to interlock them with his own as he stood behind her. This done, he would lean forward to grab onto her wrists with both hands, before dropping back down onto his butt, hoping to lift Valerie vertically off the mat, facing outwards towards the ropes and the audience, in a modified surfboard stretch!
This, though, was just the first stage of his submission finisher, the Akamatsu Crippler..m

Re: Valley Doll III vs Kyo Akamatsu — Iron Person Match
Valerie kicked out. The crowd was surprised, Kyo was surprised - if she were being completely honest, she would have to say that she was surprised, too. That kick out had been nothing but pure instinct, a reflexive and guttural thing that came from the pit. She honestly couldn't even say she could manage another kickout if he tried again, not without a few moments to catch her breath.
She would never find out, however, as that wasn’t Kyo’s plan. Instead, he flipped her over, and locked their boots together, the telltale sign of a surfboard stretch. Knowing what was about to happen was a far cry from being able to do anything about it, however, and she found herself trapped as he pulled her back and lifted her up, putting her body on display with a surfboard stretch.
A long way from pleasant, but nothing she couldn't endure. If Valerie could simply hold on…
