Passion and Fury: Cleo Hulbury vs Aaliyah Jackson

Cleo was in a world of pain right now after getting driven back first into the edge of the ring, leaving her unable to do much of anything other than breathe and try to recover from the impact. However Aaliyah was a bit too quick on the draw to allow this to happen for the British woman as soon she was being grabbed and forced up by her opponent until she was then forcefully rolled under the ropes and into the ring. "Ngh!" Cleo groaned out in response before Aaliyah rolled back in after her, grabbing her leg and pulling it up for a pin fall that was already being started!

"TWO!!"

Before the count could go any further than that Cleo would suddenly twist her body up while pulling her leg forward in order to try and kick out of the pin immediately!

Yeah, that wasn’t going to happen. It was a nice try, at least.

Aaliyah wasn’t that deterred when the pinfall failed and Cleo kicked out. She got a two-count, and a good one at that, a sign that she was heading in the right direction. She just needed to keep the pressure going, and so far, that was working out well for her. How to make it even better, though?

Those legs. She needed to do something about Cleo’s flippin’ stork legs.

With her target set, Aaliyah went to work. She stood up, grabbed Cleo’s ankle, and dragged her back towards the center of the ring. Once there, she reached down and pulled her opponent’s legs into the proper position. This over that, twist it here, thread it through there…

A figure-four leglock, a wrestling classic. Aaliyah set it up, dropped back, and let the magic happen.

Cleo was still in a daze after getting thrown and bashed around at the ring side area, not at all able to properly respond in any capacity to anything going on around her at the moment. Especially not her opponent bending over and grabbing her legs, lifting them up and twisting them around her opponents own for a figure four leg lock submission!

"Aghhhhhhh!" Cleo screamed out in immediate agony as a result of the hold, every part of her lower limbs immediately flaring up from the pressure and strain being put upon them. Twisting and thrashing about on the mat as a result of the hold Cleo would grab at her hair, huffing and gasping in pain, trying to figure out a way out of this!

An oldie but a goodie. While Aaliyah loved to get crazy with her moves, never let it be said that she didn’t know how to bust out a classic, now and then. This was one she hadn't used in a good while, so she was more than happy to find she could still pull it off without falling on her butt and looking like a dumbass. She locked it in, cranked it tight, and the suffering began.

Cleo wasn’t tapping, of course, but she wasn’t going down quiet, either. Looking to amp up the pressure, Aaliyah planted her palms and thrust upwards, elevating their legs and letting gravity get in on the action. ”Feel free to tap out anytime, now!”

Cleo was trapped in a tight and painful figure four hold from her opponent. Making her legs burn and ache in agony but damn it if she was going to tap to this hold! Unfortunately Aliyah wasn't looking to make this any easier for her as the woman lifted herself up, amplifying the pain on the hold!

"Ugh!" Cleo cried out in pain, but with pain came opportunity and while the elevation helped in adding pain, it did make the hold a lot less stable since Aliyah's weight was no longer behind it, her hands being the only support for it. As such with a sudden push of her own hands and twisting her hips sharply she would aim to shift the two suddenly and roll them over to break the figure four!

Aaliyah would give Cleo this much: She was stubborn.

She’d been in this hold plenty of times herself. She knew how much it hurt, especially when you had a long pair of legs to take the pain. She thought the woman would’ve tapped out by now, but she kept fighting and squirming about, even though the ropes were a reasonable distance away. It was either impressive or annoying. Some combination of both, she couldn't decide which.

But if she wanted to hold on, that was more than fine with Aaliyah. She was happy to keep applying pressure, keep tweaking those bones, until…

…until Cleo flipped things out of nowhere, putting all the pressure back on Aaliyah. Now it was her turn to shriek and scramble, as she madly tried to pull her way to the ropes.

Locked up in the figure four submission by Aaliyah and left screaming out in pain as a result there wasn't much she could do to get herself free but go for the ropes... Or so you'd think.

Aaliyah's determination to make the hold painful would backfire on her as Cleo managed to twist and not only break it but reverse the hold all together on Aaliyah, turning the pain of the hold right back onto the woman!

"Hah! How's a taste.. of your own medicine!" Cleo snapped back over her shoulder, being sure to hold onto Aaliyah's foot, content to let her foe crawl to the ropes while taking more damage, and giving Cleo the chance to rest a bit as well.

As this went, Yo-Yo watched from the sidelines, unsure what to make of all this.

Aaliyah was good. Too good, sometimes. She could be cocky as hell, and she was always trying to get her to wrestle the way she thought was best, even though Yo-Yo was still trying to find her own groove in wrestling. But, as much as her cousin could be a pain, she knew her shit in the ring. It was rare to see someone getting the better of her.

And yet, that was what Cleo was doing. Making it look good, too.

Yo-Yo looked on as Aaliyah crawled to the ropes, latched on, and squeezed them hard. She was finally given the relief she sought. She wasn’t in good shape, though, and she favored her knee as she tried to stand up, leaning on the ropes for support. Bad sign - while she had only just started watching Cleo, she seemed like the sort to make weaknesses like that even worse.

Despite the agony of the figure four submission that she was locked into Cleo managed to hold on, keeping up the fight against the hold and her opponent, managing to turn the two over and reverse the pain of the hold right back onto Aaliyah! Smirking at this Cleo would allow Aaliyah to drag the two to the ropes, using it as a chance to recover slightly so when she finally managed it Cleo would untangle their limbs and slowly get up.

After all her own legs had taken a beating in that move as well but she was able to deal with it for the most part. Looking over her shoulder after managing to stand she would take notice that Aaliyah was faring a bit worse off than her. Seriously nursing one of her knees which brought an evil smirk to Cleo's lips in response. 'Hello new target.' Cleo thought to herself, clenching and unclenching her fists in preparation.

Turning on the ball of her heel suddenly Cleo would break out into a run in Aaliyah's direction! Seemingly Cleo was going to go high for a full frontal assault, but at the last moment Cleo would veer to one side, dropping down into what looked like a baseball slide that would take her out of the ring. If not for Cleo grabbing onto the bottom rope to pull herself around and swing her body back towards the ring and drive her feet into the back of Aaliyah's hurt knee with a derivative of a 619!

So, this was backfiring spectacularly, wasn’t it?

Aaliyah hissed as the pain coursed through her legs, her knees in particular paying the price for her reversed move. She knew it would paint a target on her that only the most inexperienced Young Lioness would overlook. While she had only just met Cleo, she could tell the woman knew what she was doing - she was coming for her.

Sure enough, Cleo came rushing in, those lean, long legs of hers striding along the mat like a graceful gazelle. Aaliyah reeled back, ready to take her on, but that turned out to not be her aim - instead, she ducked down, slipped through the ropes, and came at from behind with a tiger feint kick, one that targeted the back of Aaliyah’s legs.

Tricky. And effective.

Aaliyah cried out and fell forward, grasping her legs as she writhed on the canvas. She began the arduous task of pushing her way up after a moment, but it wasn’t the quickest process, and she doubted Cleo would give her the courtesy of finishing.
