"Thought you might like it," is Blaise's glib reply as she pulls him by the wrist, voice a little strained from the breathlessness of the dropkick. But he's still recuperating as she yanks and whips him around to the far corner, having to keep running to maintain his balance! He pivots on heel at the last second, letting his back impact the pads. Just as he's recoiling, his back arching from the heavy thump in the unyielding corner post, he finds Aaliyah in close and personal. Her knee is thrown high, knocking into the corner of his jaw, causing his head to whip back. Arms are thrown back, his posture slacking a bit in the corner, arms supporting himself over the top ropes at either side.

Aaliyah had called Blaise a handsome guy a couple times now, and she meant. He was attractive. Maybe not supermodel material, but definitely up there. 7, maybe 8. Good body, fit, nice hair. Reminded her of Corey for Boy Meets World, for some reason.

But would that stop her from caving his face in if she had half a chance? Nope.

The knee connected, nice and clean, leaving him looking glassy when she returned to earth. More importantly, he was in a good vulnerable spot, and while it might have been a touch more pragmatic to drop him on the ground and work him over from there, she had bigger, better plans in mind.

Aaliyah stepped off, gave him a quick flick on the nose, then dashed in the opposite direction, moving towards the far corner. Instead of running straight into it, she leaped up, planted her foot on the middle turnbuckle, vaulted off, then came rushing towards him again, flipping head over heels as she went, covering the distance with a series of tumbles that picked up momentum, until she came crashing into him with an elbow at full speed.

As far as Blaise is concerned, he'll happily take the compliments whether they precede or follow violence. He's an uncomplicated fella, he knows the sport they participate in, and most importantly, it's coming from an attractive chick. So they intend to rough each other up! It's practically how they get to know each other!

Flick!

Blaise is jolted to attention with the flick to his nose, causing his head to jerk back reflexively. But Aaliyah has already taken off, sprinting for the opposite end of the ring. He starts to lean out of the corner and find his footing, only to pause when she springs into a series of what he could only describe as Amazonian tumbles in his direction. Deciding how best to counteract her approach costs him the moment, and leads into her elbow digging into his toned pectorals with a hard impact.

It might have seemed like Aaliyah was doing a lot of showboating in this match…and she was, yeah, but it wasn’t all about showing off to the crowd. Working Blaise over like this was doing wonders for her confidence, and that could go further than people would think. When she was in control, everything just sort of…clicked. It was the sort of thing she tried to get Yo-Yo into, wanting her to have more fun in the ring and stop treating everything like it was just some rough street fight.

Matches like this showed the difference between the way they operated, and she really wished her cousin was around to take some notes.

Aaliya crashed hard into Blaise, driving her elbow in deep and knocking the wind out of him. She could feel him, tell he was getting worn ragged - enough for him to be pinned? Not quite yet. But she had a good idea how to get him there.

With him close and behind her, she reached up and over, to snag his head with a tight side headlock, pushing his face up against her chest. He might have enjoyed that, but she doubted he would like what came next, as she ran forward, pulled him along, leaped up, and attempted to slam his face into the canvas with a Running Bulldog.

After the elbow dug deep against Blaise's firm pectorals, he pitches forward to lean heavily against Aaliyah's back. By instinct, his arms naturally start to wrap protectively against his chest, but they don't get far before running into Aaliyah's body in the way. With some haphazard fumbling, he ultimately finds one hand flat against her toned abs, the other hand resting on her ribs. His head is transferred from over her shoulder to under her arm, cheek pressing against the side of her breast. The latent intimacy of the contact is a little lost on him amidst the pain and strain of the match so far, preoccupied with hurriedly navigating the situation.

Pulled forward, Blaise trots along after her. He knows this position; he knows what's coming. And the moment her feet leave the mat, his training kicks in. The hands at her stomach and waist press in tighter, and Blaise rushes forward to force her jump off-kilter backwards! Skipping off his feet, Blaise drops back with Aaliyah leading the fall, before finally slamming down hard against the ring behind him in a backdrop counter!

Aaliyah could sense something was off as she executed the move. Maybe he wasn’t pliable enough, giving her too much resistance, or the timing was off - something was making her Spidey-Sense tingle. But she was already locked in, the motion had begun, and she was hurtling forward, dedicated to the move. There was simply no stopping it.

Things seemed to be going well…at first. But then Aaliyah realized that her flight trajectory was way off. She wasn’t going down as intended, oh no, she was going backward, being pulled out of the air with Blaise’s strength. It was a path that could only end in one way, and she braced herself for the crash.

It didn’t help much, really. She still hit and hit hard, bouncing up after the impact only to come down flat on her chest. She laid there for a moment, before she scruched up, kicked her legs, and rubbed her aching skull, trying hard to deal with the pain.

Blaise lands on his back on the mat, but with the control of his pitch and Aaliyah's entire back helping disperse the impact (primarily by centralizing it entirely against the back of her head and spine), he's in much better shape than her there. The compounding abuse he's suffered insofar keeps him from springing directly to his feet, however, needing first to sit up and takes a few breaths. His left arm crosses against his chest as he takes a few hard breaths.

His head turns to look at her as she wallows, trying to cope with the burst of pain; the fluttering feet are always the clearest sign of it. As a wrestler, he's come to relish the sight. But with the veritable tornado of offense the girl has brought to bear so far, there were two things he absolutely knew for certain right now: he needs to capitalize on the opening, and she really isn't like Yo-yo.

Twisting over onto hands and knees, he leans over her. The right arm scoops under and around her neck, while the left arm hooks between her legs to snag onto her far thigh. Bracing himself with a boot against the mat, he pushes to his full height and hoists her up horizontally, her back pressed along his chest while she faces out at the crowd. His arms pump, hoisting her a little higher before suddenly dropping to a kneel, bringing her waist down against his upturned knee in a rib breaker!
