Thunder Ryuko and Emily Nelson vs. SA-KI and Zero Kotobuki - Stand Tall

Emily had given herself some valuable breathing space with that shot to SA-KI's stomach. The hit was enough to send her masked foe staggering back; huffing for breath, Emily watched SA-KI warily, allowing herself to take a few valuable seconds to recover. She knew, all too well, that SA-Ki would be back on the offensive before long.

And she was all too right: angrily, SA-Ki came rushing in at her again, cursing her out as she swung an arm for Emily's face. Had Emily still been winded, then she might not have been able to react in time; as it was, she managed to bring a forearm in time to block the blow.

"Sorry, lass," she breathed in response to SA-KI's curse, "but I'm nae going to give ye the satisfaction."

And with that, Emily would reach up to grab the back of SA-KI's head and drop down, aiming to slam the masked girl's forehead against her shoulder in a sudden but effective stunner!

Irritating. Simply irritating.

Maybe it was just her age creeping up, but SA-KI had less and less patience for delaying matches than she did back when she was in Wrestle Angels. Back then, she and Freia could spend the better part of an hour working over some helpless little bitch, really make sport of it. Today, she was more of a mind to end this quick and go home - playing with these two seemed like a bad idea.

She was proven right, too, just not in the way she would’ve preferred, when Emily blocked her blow and counterattack, pulling her head in close against her shoulder. SA-KI realized what was about to go down, but it was already too late - the Scotswoman leaped up and gravity did the rest, ramming her jaw against solid bone.

She was sent flopping away from the impact, arms flailing, and wound up on her back, looking up through hazy eyes at the ceiling. Not unconscious, but far closer to it than she wanted to be, and not getting better anytime soon.

In her years in Wrestle Angels, Emily had seen SA-KI do a lot of things. She had seen her torment Toshimi Minami with ruthless submission holds. She had seen her choke out Mighty Yukiko with a piece of chain that she had snuck into the ring. She had even see her dominate Bomber Kishima for several ruthless minutes after blindsiding the bigger woman with a kick to the face the before the bell had even rang.

But one thing she had never seen the masked bitch do was withstand a good, nice stunner.

As SA-KI collapsed, Emily flopped onto her front again. Her whole body was hurting; with clenched teeth, she crawled as fast as she could towards her corner, hoping to reach it in time to tag in Ryuko...

Ryuko had been watching everything and leaned in reaching for the tag. "Come on, come on!" Ryuko shouted urging Emily on. As soon as Emily tagged Ryuko climbed through the ropes as quickly as she could trying to reach SA-KI looking to take it to her to capitalize on the opening Emily created. Ryuko was ready, and it was her job now to make sure that SA-KI felt some pain. As Ryuko made her way over she wanted to grab SA-KI and haul her up looking to lift the woman up and spin before stepping forward hoping to enter the match with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on her opponent.

Aw, crap. This was bad. This was really bad.

SA-KI was stunned, but not so much that she couldn't read the room around and realize that her life was about to grow considerably more painful in a few seconds if she didn’t do something on the quick. She rolled over and tried to push her way up, hoping to make a play for the tag…

Didn’t happen. Ryuko was on her before she had the chance, lifting her up and spinning her about like a baton. The twirl came to a stop when her back crashed into the woman’s leg, sending electricity right into her spine. SA-KI cried out and flopped over to her chest, hissing under her breath all the way.

"Hmph. Punks... all of you." Ryuko said as she made her way to SA-KI stomping down on her chest a few times before yanking her up by the hair. Ryuko smiled and took SA-KI by the arm looking to whip her into a neutral corner as hard as she could. Ryuko flexed a bicep and kissed it to fire up the crowd before bolting after SA-KI looking to rush into her with a clothesline against the turnbuckle hoping to plaster her to the corner and keep delivering punishment!

”Ow, fuck, fuck!”

SA-KI cursed with every hit she took as Ryuko continued to lay into her, hammering her with stomps as she writhed on the floor. Not a good spot to be in, and it didn’t improve when the woman yanked her up - by the hair, of course - and proceeded to whip her into the corner, leaving her to languish against the pads.

She wasn’t about to take this treatment forever, though. When Ryuko came rushing in at full speed, SA-KI pushed her way out of the corner and swung her elbow at the oncoming threat, trying to clock her clean in the face and take some wind out of her sails.

Ryuko came rushing in with a full head of steam and it became clear to her all too late that her own momentum was about to be her undoing! Ryuko rushed in and the elbow swung up to her jaw smashing the thunder empress in the head! Her head snapped to the side, her hair flying all over as she hobbled backward on limp wobbly legs! She stayed up on her feet but her momentum had been halted like a car smashing into a stone wall leaving her stunned and wide open for counters as her offense worked against her.

SA-KI breathed out a sigh of relief as her elbow connected with Ryuko, putting an end to her little rally and giving her the breathing room she craved. She knew well how this woman could run wild if you gave her half a chance, and she wasn’t about to let that get away. She needed to get back to the plan, isolating these women and keeping them for being a real threat.

With Ryuko stunned, SA-KI leaped back, putting some good distance between them, before she ran towards her foe at top speed. She leaped up the moment she was close enough, raised her leg, and tried to ram her knee into the woman’s face at high velocity, hoping to hit her with her signature move - Orion’s Spear.

The stunned Ryuko was wide open for her opponent and she paid a hefty price for her miscue! Ryuko was hobbling about on limp legs when SA-KO crashed into the thunder empress completely devastating her! Ryuko seemed to fold in half before her body crashed hard to the mat crumpling in a heap after impact! She let out a weak wheezing groan as the wind was crushed right out of her leaving Ryuko on the mat and reeling! She was now struggling to even breathe let alone fight back, and this was hardly the way she envisioned her return to the match... To say that things looked bad was a huge understatement!
