Juri Han vs. Luong Chun - Round 1! Fight!

That was better. Much better. As much as she hated to admit it, Juri had caught her off guard at first, successfully using Lee to distract her and blinding her with rage. On some level, she could admire that. She wasn’t above using such tactics in her own matches, when it suited her. But if this woman - this gutter rat - thought such a strategy would work her way for the duration of their match, then she was in for the rudest of awakenings. Luong would not be so easily swayed.

As if to put that to the test, Juri tried to go for Lee again, no doubt wanting to use her as a human shield. This time, however, Luong was not going for such simple bait - no, her one and only interest was in the piece of trash that had earned her ire, and it was she that her whole focus centered on.

Luong pushed back up to her feet and gave chase, going after Juri before she could grab her servant, pursuing the woman into the ring. She slid in under the bottom rope and rose to her feet as quick as possible, though not without a stumble, as she tried to shake off the beating that she’d started with.

[”Vile, disgusting creature.”] She spoke in their native tongue, taking the rare opportunity, as she began to circle her foe, not wanting to commit to a full on assault just yet. She needed to get a read on this woman. [”I am going to make you regret every second of that farce.”]

Looks like Luong didn't fall for it and Juri didn't want to risk it, so she slipped into the ring. The ref let out a sigh of relief at that as it seems that the fight would now proceed as it's supposed to...

Luong slipped into the ring a moment after Juri and the two vipers started circling each other in the ring, neither making a move. Juri couldn't help but wear a wicked smirk on her face at the sight of this arrogant and furious woman in front of her being all cautious. It was like an unspoken acknowledgement that she saw Juri as a threat. Luong's spoken words were even better - threats filled with malice. Juri loved it and even let out a giggle.
["You flirt... If you continue like this, I'll have to take you out for dinner"]
Juri would respond in Korean, teasingly.

Juri was running the fight simulations in her head and if both of them stuck to their taekwondo training, Juri should be at a disadvantage, assuming Luong was as good as her... Juri decided that before making any premature conclusions, she would need to test some variables...
So, the vixen would open up with a high sideways kick aimed at Luong's face, but it end up aiming more towards the neck as Luong was quite tall.

Focus. Luong, more than anything, needed to focus.

Juri’s strategy couldn't have been clearer. The woman was testing her, trying to get her off her game, putting her in a situation where she would be distracted. A novel idea, but now that she knew where it was going, she could act appropriately. As much as she yearned to rip this woman’s hair out, she would approach this match like a professional and defeat her in a fashion that was acceptable for a woman of her stature.

Then she would rip her hair out. She could be victorious and vengeful.

That being said, it might be a simpler thing to say than do, as Juri displayed a modicum of talent. Luong was preparing to strike, sizing her foe up, when the woman moved in and lashed out with a high side kick, aiming for her head. The move came out like a flash, a swift strike that would’ve leveled many fighters - but not her, not someone who was more than accustomed to this type of attack.

Luong jerked back, moving just enough to let the kick passed by her face, dodging it by mere inches. As soon as it was out of the way, she stepped in, brought her leg up, and shot it straight out towards Juri’s chest, attempting to knock her back with a strong push kick, wanting to create some space between them.

Juri quickly stepped onto range and sent a high kick for Luong's head, which the latter avoided withinimal movement and immediately went for a counter.
Juri, meanwhile, continued with the spin and as soon as her foot came down, she lifted the other one in a high backwards spinning kick to meet Luong's with a THUD, forcing it just enough to the side for it to miss by mere inches.
Juri felt the power and could tell those kicks were dangerous... She took a step back to stabilise her footing.

"Hoo..? You've finally remembered how to fight?" Juri would tease her opponent again, licking her lips. She was getting excited.
Juri would wait for a moment for Luong to make her move, hoping Luong would overextend and get too close.

If Luong didn't make a move, Juri would try something - she would leap towards Luong with a flying roundhouse kick, but she actually would not kick while on the air. She would instead wait until her left foot touches the ground, before unleashing a right upwards kick towards Luong's chest.
It would be risky, because if instead of blocking, Luong countered by kicking Juri out of the air, it would be a clean hit. If not, then we'll just have to see what happens.

[“Silence!”]

Luong hissed as Juri continued her prattle, speaking of her idiocy even as she was knocked back. That was what truly irked her about this woman, more than anything - the incessant, flippant talking. In their homeland, a woman like this would’ve been utterly reviled. No civility, no respect, a brainless thug without a hint of refinement. The fact that they were born on the same soil was an insult by itself, and she was eager to wipe this blemish off of her country’s history.

It drove her forward, making her rush in to close the distance, but Luong would not be so easily caught, it seemed. She was closing when the woman leaped forward and spun about, with what looked like a roundhouse kick…at first. Luong prepared to block, only to find the impact suspiciously absent.

No, the blow came from below instead, as Juri waited for the landing to unleash her power, sending her foot upwards with a powerful kick. Even though Luong was able to block it, the impact was still more than sufficient to send her off her feet and knock her into the nearest corner, her body slamming up against the pads. She stayed there for the moment, too, leaning up against them while she tried to catch her breath.

Juri went in with her feint and it did work, partially at least. She managed to close the distance without being shut down in the attempt and then managed to hit Luong from an unexpected angle. The only issue was that it didn't deliver any real damage as it was still blocked, but at least Luong was knocked back into a corner.

Maybe this move had some shock value? Well, Juri was about to find out as she knew she needed to act fast if she was to capitalise on this opportunity.
Juri would leap towards Luong again, in the exact same, spinning fashion, but this time she would actually unleash the kick in mid air, aimed for the woman's stomach. This wasn't about getting past Luong's defence anymore, it was an attempt to dish out as much damage as she could.
How is Luong going to react to this? Or will she react at all?

From the corner, Luong looked over at her opponent through shadow of her tresses, the stray strands doing little to mask the mounting rage on her face. Try as she might, it was difficult to keep her composure with this one, even moreso now that she was coming to terms with this woman’s skill. She was something close to competent.

Irritating. Truly irritating.

Juri wasn’t about to let up, either. She came in again, leaping towards her for another kick, but Luoung had no intention to be there when it landed. She pulled her way to the side as her foe came in, letting it pass by and slam into the pads instead.

From Juri’s side, Luong leaped up and went into action, through a roundhouse kick at Juri’s face.

Juri knew she didn't have much time to capitalise on her success, that's why she immediately followed up with another attack, yet the truth was that Juri had even less time still as Luong made her move at the same time. For a split second, it was an athletic spectacle, but Juri was met with a foot to her face, that immediately stopped her forward momentum and redirected it downwards.

THUMP!! Juri fell audibly to the mat.
"Ooagh..." Juri groaned, laying dazed on the mat.
Juri had some unpleasant things to say, but a kick in the face proved to be a reliable method to shut her up for the time being. Though dazed, Juri knew one thing - she had to do something before this got even worse, because she could practically feel the rage emanating from her opponent. So, if not prevented, Juri would try and roll away towards the ropes or something. If she managed that, she'd on a single knee, her left hand holding onto the middle rope, her right fist brushing against her face where she was hit, her gaze is directed at Luong. No smile, no smirk, only silent anger and annoyance.

Of all the people Luong had kicked in the face - and there were so many - she had to admit that Juri was the most satisfying. Something about landing that strike to her in the corner was satisfying to her soul, a sensation that not only pleased her body but soothed the spirit. The more this fight went on, the more she found her center, coming to the mental place where she was most effective. Yes, she was still enraged at having her servant struck, but she could bring that heat down to a simmer. Focusing the heat made it far more effective.

The proof was in the results, as she sent her opponent toppling towards the ropes. Luong took a moment to savor the sight before she moved in again, sprinting towards her fallen opponent, using her long legs and blinding speed to traverse the ring instantly.

At first, it might have looked like her objective was to crash into Juri, but no, her goals were not so crass. Instead, she leaped through the middle and top rope, grabbed hold of them as she passed, and swung her body around in a full rotation, bringing her legs about a full circle in an attempt to hit Juri with a tiger feint kick.

Juri was seething. Things weren't going the way Juri wanted them to go. She so hated not being in control. At least she managed to roll away before Luong could start stomping on her, but there was no time to express her displeasure through words. And when Luong came stomping towards her, Juri knew this was the time for physical language.

Instead of trying to block, Juri would simply meet Luong with her own attack instead, as is her way. Juri would place both of her hands on the mat to support herself as she'd kick out at Luong with an upwards mule kick.
Considering the moves a taekwondo practitioner could've taken in Luong's place, Juri wager'ed that worst case scenario they'd hit each other.

Unfortunately for the sociopath, Luong did something completely different - changing trajectory, slipping in-between the ropes and spinning like a helicopter and hitting Juri on the side while the latter was busy with her own motions. The impact was spread over a relatively large area of her body, so it wasn't as painful as if she was hit with something more conventional, but it was unexpected and it did knock juri to the side, doing a couple of rolls before getting onto her hands and knees, groaning. "Ghagh! What the fuck was, you dollar version skank?! You think you're funny, huh?! Heh..." Juri's anger shifts into a chuckle before adding. " You will be..."
