Boiling Point

Back, back, back. Freezer pushed forward and Mihoko retreated, not doing terribly much to stop it from happening along the way. While she was the stronger woman between them, the HEAT she’d faced in the ring before wouldn’t have let it get all the way to the corner before she attempted some kind of corner or fought out with a strike. Something would’ve occurred by now.

Instead, Mihoko was pushed back against the pad and merely covered up, as if she were expecting a beating in the next moment.

One never came. Instead, Freezer placed a gentle hand on her chin and turned her head, meeting her face to face.

”It’s okay, Mihoko. You’re safe.” She gave her a nod and reassuring smile. ”I do want to try something to help you get in the mood, though, if that’s all right. I’m going to start wrestling more and more like the way I did before - not 100%, not out of the gate, but it won’t be light, either. If you’re uncomfortable, if I go to far, just tell me to stop, and I will. Understand?”

Mihoko was just bracing herself for what she thought was inevitable, until Katakura had put a hand on her chin, turning her face. Slowly moving her gaze back to Kokoro, Tanaka gulped and looked on nervously. Katakura was very kind, softly explaining to her that she was fine. She shouldn't feel too safe in a spar, but she trusted Kokoro. Nodding slightly, Tanaka took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry..." said Mihoko first, timidly. And then, she would acknowledge the offer as she watched Kokoro closely. "You can try that. I'll be fine... probably..." continued Tanaka in a small voice, slowly starting to calm herself as she sighed. She could only imagine what Katakura would try now, but she was hoping that it wouldn't be too bad.

When Mihoko gave her the go-ahead, Freezer nodded and took a deep breath, more to prepare herself than to give her partner a moment. This was also difficult for her as she tried to thread a needle that she had never needed to before, applying a deft touch when she wrestled. While she had many talents, teaching had never been one of them, and she often lacked the sort of patience such an endeavor required, the steady mind that one needed to help someone along.

Mihoko wasn’t the only nervous one here. Freezer was simply doing a better job of hiding it.

But she pushed through her inhibitions, dug deep, and… ”Here we go, then.”

Freezer took Mihoko by the wrist, stepped back, twisted around, and sent her running towards the opposite corner with a solid Irish Whip, getting her moving straight away.

Mihoko took a deep breath as Katakura did the same. She was trying to calm herself more before her opponent went for her next attack. She seemed to legitimately want to ease her into this, which made the normally Hot-Blooded Fighter feel better about the whole situation, as awkward as it was. So she braced herself, being grabbed by the arm. She let her, waiting and unsure of what would happen next.

And then, in a moment later, she was whipped towards the opposite corner. Her momentum was carrying her towards the ropes, and she didn't move a bit quicker than that. Her face scrunched up in worry before she turned at the last moment, letting her back hit the turnbuckle with a loud grunt. She sucked in a deep breath, resting back in the corner. To Kokoro's credit, her heart was beating a bit quicker. Being forced into a sprinting position was getting her blood pumping now, but she was still very nervous about the spar too. She didn't dare make a move out of the corner yet.

Keep moving. Don’t stop. Get the blood flowing, pumping, racing through the veins.

Despite her name, Freezer was more than capable of wrestling with an energetic, sparking style, and that was precisely the sort of energy she brought out as she sent Mihoko running across the ring. She came running behind her, only a few steps apart, not wanting to give her too much chance to catch her breath or cool off. Constant pressure, constant movement.

When Mihoko turned about and hit the pads, she only had a second to rest before Freezer came in. She spun about at the last second and rammed her back against the more petite woman, mashing her against the turnbuckle with her larger body, but she didn’t back off after the impact - she grabbed the ropes and stayed there, leaning up against her, keeping her standing. It was an intimate position, and Freezer could have done all sorts of suggestive things with it, but she refrained for the moment, content to simply stand, press her back against Mihoko’s front, and gauge reactions.

Mihoko saw Katakura coming at her at the last second, only to be hit with the full force of her body, letting out a loud groan of pain as she winced in the corner. The impact left her winded, but she could tell that Kokoro wasn't putting her all into that move. It wasn't about hurting her too badly. It was a spar, more than anything else, and Tanaka was left feeling mostly smarting from it.

More surprising to Mihoko was that Katakura kept her body against her, not moving. Pressed against Kokoro's firm body, she bit her lip, letting out a soft whine. She was a little bit uncertain what to do, so she did the only thing she thought she could do, and she tried to make space. She pressed her hands on Katakura's back and then gave her a hard shove, trying to get her some breathing room.

Testing. Teasing. Taunting.

Freezer could have been accused of doing all three of these things as she leaned against Mihoko, keeping their bodies pressed against each other, letting her firm back mold along the contours of her foe’s chest. It wasn’t an intimate position, but it was contact, and she let Mihoko decide what came next. She didn’t embrace the position, but she didn't fight it, either. Not right away, at least.

Eventually the push came, shoving her off and forcing her foreward, but Freezer would let the space stayed empty for long. She spun about and moved back in with an attack that she knew lit a fire under Mihoko in their last match - a knife-edge chop, delivered right to her chest. It wouldn’t do much real damage, but when it came to setting the nerves on fire, you couldn't ask for more.

With a hard shove, Kokoro was off of Mihoko, and she was able to get some breathing room now, and was able to keep that cozy space between them from getting too much more cozy. As Tanaka went to escape the corner though, but Katakura was spinning towards her, which froze Mihoko in her paces, not sure what she was going to do. She ultimately shielded her face and head, only for a tremendous knife-edge chop to go right towards her chest, making her gasp loudly. "Yow!"

She buckled back against the corner again, eyes wide. Her chest burned, and she was, in fact, feeling more fired up as a result. The blow hurt, and it sting, and it set her nervous system on high alert. Gritting her teeth, this time she would give a much harder shove to Katakura. Mihoko wanted more space as she held a hand over her pain-filled chest, nostrils flaming as she caught her breath from it.

For a woman named Freezer with an ice gimmick, she was pretty proud of how she could heat the skin with her chops. She’d spent no small amount of time perfecting them over her wrestling career, and she could get good impact, hitting just about as hard as anyone could in her weight class.

Judging by the reaction she received, Mihoko would’ve agreed. Freezer was given another push, but this one had a little more oomph to it, some real strike, and it was accompanied by the sound of flaring nostrils.

Good signs.

Instead of backing off, Freezer moved back in and mashed her forehead against Mihoko’s, pushing her back into the corner with a manic stare in her eye, letting their heated breaths mingle. A standoff, a primal show of dominance. ”That one sounded like it hurt. Did it?” She stepped and spread her arms out, inviting retaliation. ”Show me how much. My turn.”

Mihoko kept a hand on her chest, trying to soothe it before Katakura put her forehead against her own, looking surprised as she was pushed back. Tanaka's eyes went wide as she seemed to be challenging her. The timid brunette trembled as she looked back into her eyes... Kokoro looked quite different. Mihoko was getting more intimidated and nervous, but in a way that was triggering a fight or flight in her right now. And she even told Mihoko to blast her in the chest, riling her up further.

Still looking uncertain for a moment, Mihoko would then abruptly try to get more space, shoving Katakura away again with a hard shove. And then, she would step forward throwing a stinging knife-edge chop directly towards Kokoro's chest. "Back off!" exclaimed Mihoko, sounding more irritated now. All of this had built up to make her more and more emotional now. She was acting more than thinking, which may have been better for her now.
