A Tag Team Match between the Celestial Bodies and PATRIOT!

To say that LAW in its entirety was one of the weirdest things Mateo had ever had the pleasure of experience was an understatement. To some extent, it was normal. Flashing lights, fans cheering, gotta put on all you could to increase. Show business was the back of his hand.. but this wrestling league wasn’t as scripted as the movies his league was used to. So a pretty big change in its own, not even mentioning the.. more risqué parts of the business

And of course he had been booked straight away, a couples tag match. That was a surprise.. and honestly a little bit of a relief, knowing that he had Zira with him. Zira, who was probably out there with little care about all this in the world while he got himself. He’d run a hand through his hair, and figuring he was dressed and ready to go.

“No need to worry and just try to have fun, huh?”

He quoted something a buddy of his told him, and she was right. He was definitely gonna have fun.. as he opened the locker rooms, finding Zira. When he found her, he’d offer the wife a smile, resting his knuckle against his hip, speaking with the hint of a british accent.

“Hey. Ready to win out there, Zee?”

Zira smirked to herself confidently as she strapped on her fingerless gloves as tightly as possible on her hands in preparation for her match tonight. Not only was it her debut in LAW, but it was gonna be with her husband no less in a mixed tag match. So to say her excitement levels were through the roof was an understatement. Hearing a knock on her door Zira would smirk seeing Mateo there, asking if she was ready to win.

Grinning a bit more excitedly at that she would step forward and plant a quick but searing kiss on his lips. Mhm you know I'm always ready to kick some ass." She said energetically as she as she looped her arm with his and gave a not so gentle tug to pull him along with her in the direction of the entrance ramp.

Once there and getting their cue Zira along with Mateo would make their way out to a large round of applause, granted largely due to their respective fame, but it was still nice for debuting wrestlers to get such a big applause. Smirking and basking in it for a moment Zira along with Mateo would make their ways down the ramp till they made it to the ring. Upon doing so Zira would break off from Mateo and hop up on the apron and do some quick shadow boxing on the narrow space before posing with her back bent and leg nearly straight up in the air.

Holding the pose for a moment Zira would then hook her extended leg over the top rope before curling her abs and lifting herself up and over it and into the ring, rolling in and popping up to her feet with a whoop of energy. Regardless of how Mateo did his own entrance into the ring Zira would head to their corner and continue to do some shadow boxing, hopefully making it clear to her husband that she was looking to start off first for them.

The two in the ring wouldn’t have to wait long for their opponents to show up - Betsy and Troy wouldn’t have missed this for the world.

Troy had been pushing for a couple vs. couple match since he got to LAW, siting it as one of his bigger priorities with the booking committee, and it looked like they had finally came through. While there were a handful of wrestling couples in LAW, the vast majority of them were females, with mixed couples being far rarer. The chance to mix it up with another husband and wife was an opportunity that just couldn't be passed up, and that it was with two made it even sweeter.

So yeah, they were a little excited, and you could see it on their faces as they came out, with Betsy bouncing along to their music and even Troy moving with some unusual pep in his step. The crowd seemed behind it, too, with them getting more than their fair share of love along the way, with a smattering of hate mixed in. Seemed like people were already picking sides. Good. Nothing wrong with some healthy competition.

”Oh, snap.” Betsy chirped as they reached the end of the ramp, and nodded at the pair in the ring. ”Big guys. Looks like I’m the littlest one, here.”

He saw what she meant as he came over to her side, getting a better look at the pair int the ring. They were defifntely closer to his physique than his smaller wifre’s, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It could give them the edge they needed, if they played this right. ”Eh,” He shrugged. ”Size doesn’t matter.”

”That’s just what dudes with small dicks say.” She looked over her shoulder and winked. ”So, who’s going first? Wanna Rock Paper Scissors over it?”

Troy shrugged and stuck his hand out as Betsy did the same. ”Rock, Paper, Scissors…”

”Shoot!”

Betsy picked scissors, as usual. Troy fell for it with rock, as usual.

]”Ha! So predictable.” Betsy rolled into the ring and popped to her feet as Troy took up position on the apron. She smacked her fists together as she gazed towards the bigger woman, not the least bit fazed, even though she probably should’ve been.

”Okay, big girl.” She swayed from heel to heel, keeping her arms loose at her sides. ”I’ll go slow for you, but not too slow. Can only keep the pace down so low before I start snoring.”

“Course you are, you’re like a damn firework.”

He laughed as Zira just proved him right after the kiss and practically dragged him over to the ringside. It made for an amusing entrance, but he didn’t mind her dragging him along like a madwoman. That was just how Zira did things, and he has long since learnt how to keep pace. When she released him, she entered the ring first and foremost, playing to the crowd with her signature pose.

Pretty amused by that, Mateo placed his hands on the ropes of the ring, bouncing himself up and behind them, yet still on the apron as he leaned against the turnbuckle. Zira had made it quite clear she literally couldn’t wait to get going.

When Betsy and Troy came in, Mateo.. well he found their appearances rather amusing. Dressed in red white and blue, he figured that “damn, they would not be mistaken as ANYTHING but the Patriots”. Shaking his head, he’d regardless toss them a wave and a smile as they entered the ramp, watching them play for the first fight, the girl eventually winning.

So these two would fight first? Yeah fair enough, both seemed like a chip from the same block. He’d place a hand on his chin, cheering Zira on.

“Kick her ass!”

Zira smirked excitedly seeing her opponents come out from the back finally. It was her first match in a new league and she was pumped to get started. So pumped in fact she had all but forgotten about her husband standing on the outside of the apron, barely giving a nod of acknowledgment as she heard him speak.

Focusing in on her opponents Zira had to admit that if nothing else they at least lived up to their name, both looking like they were out and about on the fourth of July. That was fine though, it didn't matter what her opponent's dressed or looked like, she would crush em all the same.

As the two entered the ring they did rock paper scissors to decide who would start, with the smaller one, Betsy, was what Zira thought it was. Regardless she was starting up and in a almost completely contradictory style to her foe Zira was bounding from foot to foot rambunctiously, ready to start throwing down. But this time she was at least able to focus on the trash talk of her opponent and responded to it with a grin.

"Heh you're confident, I like that." Zira said simply, the bell ringing soon after and prompting her to burst into action... Literally. Springing forward in long strides she attempted to start things off right out of the gate by locking up with her opponent in a forceful collar elbow tie up!

Okay, Betsy, playtime’s over. Focus. Think. What’re you up against, here?

She smirked and narrowed her eyes, honing in on the bigger woman she was facing. This chick was built like a brick wall, no getting around that. Maybe some kind of bodybuilder, even, and a far cry from her in terms of strength. That wasn’t too much of a problem - despite what her clash with T.H. a month ago would’ve led some to believe, she did know how to handle the bigger girls. She just had to be smart about things.

It meant no slowing down, no giving up opening, and definitely no locking up, so when Zira came marching forward for a collar-and-elbow, Betsy put the kibosh on it straightaway. She ducked low under Zira’s arms and whipped around behind her, giving her a quick jab on those rock hard abs. She darted off to the side and bounced about on her heels, dancing around the center of the ring.

”Oh, so close!” She had a quick giggling fit and winked. ”What’s wrong, getting a little slow in your old age?”

Just a little trashtalk, Zira looked great for whatever age she was in. Troy knew better than to worry about his wife at this point, preferring to just let her do her thing without interruption. He just hoped she wouldn’t get too carried away, as she tended to do when she was really having fun.

Zira despite being near titanic in build alongside her husband was far from slow as a result. Quite the contrary in fact since when she needed too she could push out some impressive speed, though admittedly in explosive bursts. However there was a limit to who she could catch off guard with said speed, and smaller, naturally faster opponent's like Betsy definitely fell under that category.

Feeling the equivalent of a bee sting on her abs Zira would stand up straight and turn to face her opponent with an unamused look on her face, largely as a result from the woman's taunt. "Cute." Zira said before getting a grin on her face.

"Alright then.." She said as she held her arms out at her sides and gave a 'come at me' gesture with both hands. "Hit me with you're best shot, come on. I won't try and block it or anything." Zira said, no hint of fear or deceit in her voice, only a serious glint in her eyes as she waited for Betsy's response.

"That or tag you're hubby in since I'm pretty sure he won't run.." Zira added in as a taunt of her own, all but calling her foe cowardly.

”Damn cute.” Betsy spun about and gave her butt a quick smack, before she hopped back around with her fists raised. ”Don’t be mad that you can’t catch me with those child-bearing hips, lady. Age gets us all, just some sooner than others.”

As much as Troy loved his wife’s enthusiasm, he had to admit, her nonchalance was more than a little worrying. Zira was strong, and while he had no idea what her wrestling history was, he doubted her confidence was unearned. He didn’t like the idea of taking unneeded risks with a woman like this, and he seriously didn’t like the idea of going into the trap she was clearly laying out for Betsy. ”Careful…”

”Oh, I’m careful.” Betsy smirked as she worked her way into range. Closer, closer, closer. ”If she wants my best, she’ll get it. Three, two…”

Betsy rushed in, ducked down, and rose up fast as she swung her fist towards Zira’s face, leaping towards her and coming at the taller woman with her Sunday punch, the absolute best blow she had to offer - her Gazelle Punch!

Externally Zira still had her confident, playful grin on her face as she baited the blonde in front of her to attack. Internally though that comment from the smaller woman had definitely struck a chord. Not that the dark skinned beauty would give Betsy the satisfaction of knowing that.

Though it wasn't a self conscious chord. It was an angry one. If there was one thing Zira hated it was being underestimated, let alone being underestimated for being a mom. So to say that Betsy had treaded on two areas she shouldn't was an understatement.

As the woman came closer however it wouldn't matter, Zira already bracing herself in silence as the punch from Betsy came and just as Zira had said it hit her square in the face without even an attempt to block the blow! Forced to take a step backwards from the blow Zira would release an audible groan of pain before a trail of blood crept down her face.

Soon though she would grin despite the bloody nose as her hand shot up to grab hold of Betsy's wrist before the woman would go to pull it away! "Heh not bad considering how wimpy your arms are." The white haired beauty said as she pulled Betsy's wrist back, trying to to twist it as she did so. "Now... its my turn." Voice getting more ominous with each syllable Zira would pull her arm back before swinging her arm forward and upwards, aiming to drive a massive uppercut into Betsy's stomach!

Mateo had a little expression of concern when it came to this particular interaction. Betsy was very much prodding at points he knew Zira wasn’t comfortable with just yet, and while he wasn’t that worried about Zira taking the punch to her face.. honestly, he had been to her MMA matches. They were occasionally pretty bloody, he was worried that Zira may go a little.. too far, and twist her wrist enough to break her arm.

.. his fears were gone though when Zira went for a brutal uppercut. Honestly, he wondered how come she hadn’t signed up for a heel at this point. A heel Zira.. he’d shudder to think what that would entail. Leaning against the ropes, Mateo was at ease as he watched the two duke it out, keeping an eye on Troy to make sure he didn’t interfere.

“I’d advise not getting Zee mad much, blondie! You wouldn’t like the results very much!”
