Dusting Off: Angela Belti vs. Alaina Sanders-Haines

Angela was the bigger woman here, but she knew that wasn’t necessarily the best indicator of who won these chop battles. Technique was a huge part of it, and if that was on point, you could do a lot of damage with a small hand.

As it turned out, Alaina’s technique was quite good, as she proved more than capable of lighting up La Donna Perfetta’s chest and sending her stumbling away with that last hit. Angela took a couple of steps away before she breathed deep and refilled her lungs and stared forward with purpose. She wasn’t losing this. She refused.

”Yes, you will!” Angela stepped in, raised her arms up, and brought both hands down on Alaina’s chest, launching into her with a Mongolian Chop that had her weight behind it.

Alaina was staggered before from the chops and she howled as the Mongolian chop hit her. The size, speed, momentum and power behind the double handed chop was too much sending Alaina collapsing back into the corner slumped against the turnbuckle.

The crowd was going nuts over this, and for the life of her, Desdemona couldn't figure out why. All she saw was two grown women slapping the crap out of her. Granted, it was kind of hot, in the way two hot chicks catfighting always was - at least, it would’ve been if one of said hot chicks wasn’t her mother, bit of a waste, there. But once you got beyond that, what was the big deal?

It mattered a lot to Angela, though, as you would be able to gleam from the triumphant war cry she made upon landing that last, thunderous strike and sending her into the corner. This raw surge of energy ran through her, bolstered by the adrenaline flowing through her veins, and she knew she had to follow up on the Amazon and strike while the iron was red hot.

Angela took one step back, then another, then ducked down and broke into a run, charging hard towards her opponent. She lunged low and came at her opponent with a running shoulder tackle, looking to split her in half against in the corner.

Alaina was slumped in the corner and her situation was getting worse as Angela came barreling in crushing her with a shoulder tackle! Alaina groaned and bent over, her grip on the top ropes the only thing keeping her up as her limp spaghetti legs wobbled. She weakly stomped in place after, gasping for breath as the wind was knocked out of her leaving her vulnerable again in the corner. This was going poorly but she was not in a good position to try to change her fortunes. Angela had all the momentum.

This was going in Angela’s favor, definitely, and she intended to keep it that way for as long as possible. Her heart was racing, as the old, familiar feelings surged through her, as her muscles ached and she fought for every breath. It was this incredible energy that she only received when she came back to wrestling after a hiatus, and she’d come to crave the sweetness.

It would be awesome, either way. But it would be more so if she won.

She had a good idea on getting that done, too. With her opponent withered, she moved in, dipped down, and pulled her opponent over her shoulder, hauling her up in a fireman’s carry. She took a moment to steady her feet, then moved back to the center of the ring as she pulled down on her opponent’s leg and shoulder, bending her against her back with a tight torture rack.

Alaina was lift up and felt her torso bending, gritting her teeth and letting out groans of pain! Alaina thrashed about and struggled in Angela's grasp but also recalled why she herself often avoided a torture rack against a woman who still had fight in her: her head was wide open.

Alaina sent fists and elbow shots at Angela's head to batter her way to freedom!

Phew - either Alaina was a good deal heavier than she looked, or Angela’s body wasn’t built for this sort of thing like it used to be. Frankly, she choose to believe the latter.

Still, as much as it was taxing her, there was no denying this hold’s effectiveness. She’d scored more than her fair share of submissions with this move, and while she preferred to do it in the latter stages of a match, things were going well enough here for her to make an attempt. It would work Alaina over, sap some power out of that core, and make this match all the easier.

And that plan was going off well, until her opponent had to ruin it by fighting back. Elbows slapped against Angela’s face, hitting with surprising force, and it was enough to make her stumble back and drop Alaina altogether, putting her down as she stumbled towards the ropes.

Alaina saw Angela stumbling and wanted to keep showing her that just because she was bigger didn't mean Alaina couldn't power her around in return.

Alaina moved in, leaping up and leading with her knee trying to hammer Angela with a knee right to the jaw!

Taking those elbows was no fun, but it wasn’t anything Angela couldn't push through. She’d taken worse. She would survive.

The knee that came right after? That was a little different. That one landed flush and sent Angela down to the mat, where she went rolling to the side. She went all the way out of the ring and would’ve flopped to the floor if the apron hadn't been there to keep her standing.

As it was, she was in a bad place. Groggy, weak in the knees, she took a moment to shake it off, not knowing where her opponent would be coming from next.

Alaina took Angela down and saw her drop, rolling away to the outside of the ring. If she was trying to run or find a safe spot Alaina was more than happy to show her that she could reach her there. Alaina ran and moved as quickly as she could, jumping forward, sliding at Angela leading with both feet to smash into her torso with a running baseball slide to knock her off the apron then send her falling to the ground outside!

This is also something else Angela would find out if this was successful.... the amazon was equally adept at fighting outside the ring as she was between the ropes.
