The Coldest Shoulder: Freezer Katakura vs. Natasha Han

~Match Type~

Victory Conditions
Pinfall, Count-Out, Submission, or KO
You could use many words to describe the LAW audience, but ‘low energy’ would never be one of them. They were an infectious bunch even for some of the most boring matches, always finding a reason to cheer, always eager to see a new face, always ready to pour the maximum amount of energy into whatever came their way. They were unique, as sports audiences went - after all, wrestling was just about the only sport where their participation was a crucial part of the match. A dead crowd could make even the best bout fall flat, while an excited crowd could make two of the freshest, weakest wrestlers look like absolute stars.

But today, they were particularly energetic, and it all had to do with a certain sight at ringside.

On the front row, gathered on the left side of the ring, there were a group of twenty or so women. Not an altogether weird sight for LAW, as the promotion had a habit of attracting plenty of female fans to their shows. But while you did often seen females in the stands, you rarely saw this many of them sitting side by side by side. Even rarer still, you didn’t see them all wearing the same shirt - a light blue, with snowflake patterns dotted throughout. The sight might have been confusing to some. Many, perhaps. But for those with a deep knowledge of the wrestling world, they would recognize who those women were and what it would mean for law.

They were the Katakura Kiss Club, a sampling of the lego of women who followed Freezer Katakura’s every move. Which could only mean one thing, logically, and they wouldn’t have to wait long for those suspicions to be confirmed.

The crowd looked on and clapped as the Kiss That Chills made her way out of the curtains, greeting the LAW crowd with her trademark smile. The haunting tones of her theme song echoed through the rafters as the lights dimmed, and a single spotlight in the shape of a snowflake followed her every step. Here, just like in Ring Dream, there was a haunting quality to the way she moved, gliding from step to step as if she could take off on skates at any moment. Cool, remarkably so for a woman about to engage in combat, but that was all part of the image. The ice she was made of couldn't be easily melted.

Freezer was about to enter the ring, even put a single foot on the bottom step, when she had a sudden pause. Her eye lit up, shocked for a second, then turned around as a realization struck her. She had gotten so caught up in her debut that she almost forgot her favorite part of the entrance. Her fan club, however, didn’t have the same failing - the gaggle of giggling girls stood at attention with eyes close and lips extending, spoiling the object of their affection with choice.

She strolled along in front of the barricade, inspecting the lips on offer. So many good choices today. Full lips, thin lips, puffy lips. Beestung, puckered, glistening with gloss. She could hardly choose, and if she didn’t have a match to do, she could’ve tasted them all. But, with time fading, she made her pick, settling on a cute brunette. An older woman, maybe in her forties, but who was aging well. Yes, she would do.

Freezer moved in, gripped her chin to hold her in place, and pressed their lips together for a frigid kiss. She didn’t go all in at first, beginning with a light touch, teasing her, as if that was all the contact she would offer. The feint was brief, though, and she dove in a second later in full, sealing their mouths together and letting her tongue work its magic. Roaming, searching about, tickling her teeth. She sucked the woman’s breath into her mouth, committing her taste to memory, then pulled away with a quick nip on her bottom lip as they parted ways.

The brunette was left panting and weak-kneed, gasping for air as her fellow Kiss Club members looked on with a mix of admiration and jealousy. Another satisfied customer.

Freezer threw her a quick wink, before she focused back onto the important task at hand. After making her way up the steps, she slipped through the bottom and top ropes, blew a kiss out to the audience, and strolled over to the further corner to lean against it with her legs crossed. Her lazy eyes found their way to the curtains as her music faded, eager for her opponent to make her way out. She’d made a certain request when she came here, and she was about to find out if LAW management delivered.

As the captain cold knockoff made her dramatic entrance. A certain blonde was finalizing the last preparations of her pre match ritual. Making sure her attire was on correctly and ready to go, a few final stretches to knock any kinks that might’ve remained out of her as she warmed herself up for the match ahead. She knew little about who her opponent was, but if what she saw on the locker room tv was any indication. The ice themed wrestler was well known enough to have her own following of fans.

Nastassja Han cared little for such things, the fans were nice but she cared far more for the match itself than the faceless numbers behind the steel barriers. Still. Seeing as Freezer’s entrance had finished, it was time for the Russian’s to get under way as she left the locker room and made way for the gorilla position. Her theme already beginning to play as she reached the curtain and took a deep breath.

Showtime. She thought as the moment her music reached its peak she would step into the arena with a fist raised in the air! The reaction was instantaneous as Nastassja was immediately showered with love and admiration. Despite the sadness of Wrestle Angels closing down. It came with the benefit of turning most of its roster into massive celebrities. They were one of the top brands in Japan once upon a time, the name of a former Wrestle Angel carried weight.

Not that Nastassja was one to lord such a fact over one’s head of course. Barely acknowledging the screaming fans as she made her way to the ring. The only marking on her face being the small smirk she wore. Reaching the ring she would quickly climb up the steel steps and enter inside. Where upon she would connect her eyes with freezers. A clash of sight never leaving even as the Russian moved to her corner and waited for the bell.

There was music, and for a flash, Freezer’s lips transformed from the cool, cocky smirk she wore 99% of the time and instead transformed into some larger, more genuine, and far closer to a real smile. It was brief, yes, but there was no ignoring it, and it was enough to tell the audience something important: This was a match Freezer had genuinely looked forward to.

Natasha Han wasn’t just some nobody, she was one of the Aces of Wrestle Angels. Back when she was working with Ring Dream, Freezer had always wanted to try her hand against such a powerful technical wrestler, to test the full length of her abilities against someone who could hold her own. She had even pushed management to make a Ring Dream x Wrestle Angels event, and had even managed to get some solid backing for it. The gears were turning.

And then Wrestle Angels dissolved.

She’d never gotten the chance to make that happen. But here, in LAW, she’d finally get the chance.

Freezer bounced from toe to toe as her foe entered the ring, trying her best to control her excitement. When the bell rang, she came out towards the center of the ring with her hands up, ready to grapple…but she stopped near the center of the ring and extended her hand, looking for a shake.

”To a good a match, hm? I’ve been looking forward to this for a long, long time.”

Nastassja would roll her neck and shoulders as she waited for the bell to ring, all the while maintaining eye contact with her opponent across from her. Yet as more time passed and the more the Russian looked, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that she had seen the Cold themed woman before. Like a face passing by that she felt held more importance than she thought.

The thought persisted even as the two competitors made their way to the center of the ring. Where upon Freezer would offer her hand to her for a shake. Nastassja went to recuperate before stopping halfway as she heard Freezer’s words. Her eyes now staring into hers as the gears in her head began to turn. A realization finally beginning to dawn on the Russian wrestle Angel.

”You… I’ve seen you before somewhere. Ahh. Now I remember. You were the fighter from that other brand Da? Our company rival back when the angels were still around! Never quite gave up on that crossover match did you?” Nastassja chuckled good naturedly, her hand finally finishing her journey to clasp around freezers for a warm handshake. The crowd cheered, loving the bout of good sportsmanship between the two ladies.

Eventually the handshake would end and the referee would step in to gently separate the two before signaling for the bell. Whereupon Nastassja would raise her arms and crouch slightly as she began to circle her opponent. “Though I hope your dream doesn’t turn into a nightmare. For I have little intentions on going easy on you tonight.” She smiled.

As much as she’d pushed for the crossover matches, she’d never heard how well things went over on the other side. Ring Dream had always been an underdog promotion, not a small name, but nowhere near the top, either, and a promotion as large and storied as Wrestle Angels might’ve been punching too high over their heads. There was a good chance that, even if both companies hadn't been swallowed up, they would’ve put the kibosh on it.

Judging by Natasha’s reaction, however, they must’ve come along further than she’d anticipated. ”Oh, my, yes.” Freezer had a pleasant hum as realization and memory struck the Russian. ”Freezer Katakura. A pleasure to finally meet you.”

It truly was. There was an imposing air to Natasha, this sense of dignity and professionalism that you didn’t see too often in wrestling. She might not have been a major champion or one with a long list of accolades, but her skill was respected, and with good reason. Taking her out would be the perfect way to start her career in LAW. A true tonesetter.

So.

Freezer was eager to get things started, and began to circling around Natasha as soon as the bell rang. She waited for a moment, sizing her opponent, measuring out each step, before she close in with a big stride and brought her arms up, looking for a collar-and-elbow tie up to kick off these proceedings. She wanted to get a good feel for what she was up against, here, and there just wasn’t a better way.

Huh. So it really was her, Nastassja couldn’t help but feel the smile on her face grow a little brighter as she thought back on it. Honestly speaking, both she and many other angels were all for the crossover event. Not only was it a nice change of pace from their usual routine, but it also added a whole slew of wrestlers for them to test their mettle against.

Unfortunately, the decision wasn’t up to them, it was up to the men and women in suits to get the idea off of the ground. And negotiations, planning, various other reasons all took long enough that by the time everyone thought it was ready, it was too late. Wrestle angels went under and many of its roster scattered to the wind. Many of them eventually finding themselves in LAW.

It seems the same was true for Ring Dream as well. And it seems that freezer was going to get her wish after all. Stepping away from one another Natassja would immediately crouch down with her arms raised as the bell rang for the match to start. Circling her ice themed opponent until they both decided enough was enough and they both charged in towards each other, lock-in each other up in a collar and elbow tie up that would have them straining against one another. Vying for superiority over the other!

Even Freezer’s usually placid demeanor began to melt as she locked horns with Alaina and pushed forward, struggling against the Russian bruiser and testing her strength. While she wouldn’t describe herself as a powerhouse, she was far from a weakling, with a good reserve of core strength to work with ever since she’d kicked her training into high gear.

But, for all her muscle, she could tell that Natasha was just a little bit strong, had a slim edge between them. There was hardly an ounce of fat to be found on this woman, as hard and unrelenting as the Siberian winter itself, and Freezer couldn't help but marvel at such an expertly trained body, even as it slowly began to overwhelm her.

But yes, this was a problem, as she wasn’t of a mind to start this match on the backfoot, if she could help it. She had her ways, however.

”You’re strong.” She grunted out a laugh. ”Really strong. But strength isn’t everything.”

As if to prove her point, Freezer decided to go for her trademark - instead of pushing, she pulled Natasha forward, turned her head to the side, and took the Russian’s lips with a quick, loving kiss, pressing their soft lips together and slipping in a shade of tongue.

Freezer was strong, that much was obvious simply by just looking at the woman. But seeing and truly feeling it were two completely different animals. Natassja grunted as she pushed against the blue clad woman. Foreheads pressing against one another as they both tried to overpower the other. Their strength seemingly a complete equal with the other. A true stalemate.

Yet, as more time passed and the more strength she poured in. Natassja began to gain ground. One step, two steps. Slowly but surely she began to push the former ring dream wrestler back and overwhelm her with her strength. If she could get her to the ropes, Natassja was certain that she would be able to start this match with the momentum in her favor.

It was as she was doing so, that Natassja would hear her opponent start to talk. The white haired woman woman giggling out a complement about the Russians strength before saying that strength wasn’t everything. And then, before Natassja could even process her words. Freezer would suddenly push her head forward and seal the Russians lips with a kiss.

”Mmph!” she moaned out. Her eyes bugging out of her head as her entire body froze in place. The sudden kiss shocking the Russian still and leaving her mind struggling to catch up! The push towards the ropes becoming momentarily forgotten.

Freezer gave Natasha’s lips a solid 7 out of 10.

Not the best lips she’d ever kissed, but far from the worst, either. They were smooth, strong lips. Good skin. The lips of a woman who took care of herself, gave her body the right kind of treatment, but wasn’t out to please or be pleased. Not a crack, not a flaw, but little was there for added effect. Bare bones. Basic.

So then, perhaps, it would come as no surprise that she froze up after the kiss, losing all semblance of strength. The push came to a dead stop, and the power went with it, as if the contact had sucked the life clean out of her. It would only last a moment, but a moment was all Freezer required.

”Tastes like vodka.”

Freezer pushed Natasha away to make space, then spun around in a quick turn, extending her arm as she turned. She lashed out at the end, looking to hit with her spinning backfist - one of her signatures, the move she liked to call her Ice Breaker.

To say that Nastassja wasn’t expecting to get into a lip lock while she was in a collar and elbow tie up would be an understatement. The kiss had come out of nowhere and all the Russian could do was sit there with this bugged out look in her eyes as the strength she had in the tie up vanished in an instant. She could probably regain it and push back if nothing happened if she just got her wits back together.

But that was easier said than done. Especially when she was suddenly shoved away, the tie up breaking up and separating the two submission specialists. Freezer stepping back calm and collected, Nastassja stumbling back dazed and confused. Shaking her head as she tried to wrap her mind around the process of events that led up to this moment that she was in.

Yet, it was in that time of recovery that the Russian angel caught sight of her opponent stepping towards her. Freezer did a little twirl as she stepped just close enough to Nastassja. The blonde could recognize a spinning backhand when she saw one, and this one was heading straight towards her face! Desperately, Nastassja brought up her arms in a sloppy guard in hopes of taking away some of the impact.

”Gahh!” She shouted as the fist impacted against her arms and broke through with a modicum of resistance. Thankfully her defense was able to shave off some of the damage. But not enough to keep the Russian on her feet as the force sent her flying to side before her shoulder hit the canvas. Groaning, she would try to stumble back to her feet before freezer could take advantage, but she didn’t know if she had enough time.
