Akari was performing a bit of shadowboxing in backstage while she was getting ready, warming herself up as she tossed punch after punch into the air, hopping on her feet. She was nervous, incredibly so...she was going up against an experienced lightweight wrestler with almost a decade's more experience than her. However, she was younger...faster...potentially stronger, and she had a height advantage of two inches. It wasn't much but these facts helped ease her nerves going into the match, knowing she had some advantages. However, if she didn't make the most of her opportunities, those 'advantages' would mean nothing by the end of this. She was here to prove herself in LAW, to prove that she would be capable of fighting amongst the best...and tonight, she was going to do exactly that.
Just then, a backstage crew member told her that it was time and Akari left her room to approach the exit out towards the ring and the arena. She took in a deep breath, put on her smile, slipped her headphones on and made sure her custom jacket was nice and fitted...and she proceeded out towards the ring as her theme song was cued on.
