Clara Gaster vs Eclaire! Shadow Lord vs Ruby Tycoon

Disclaimer: this is a match taking place during Clara's hiatus between 2018-2020

Although Clara was on hiatus from wrestling, she had to take a few matches at least every so often to not completely rust for when she decided to fully come back to the ring. She still lacked confidence to even address her "hiatus", not knowing what to say to LAW and wrestling fans on interviews...

And LAW decided to put quite a challenge in front of her. The company was going to visit London (a short train trip away for the Shadow Lord) with a number of wrestlers, including a rising star in the company who debut while she was gone in Eclaire Maitre, a Frenchwoman who doubled as a hotel tycoon outside of LAW. Despite her "veteran" status, the web squarely put Clara for the match as an underdog in the face of the big Frenchwoman. But it was ok, she believed. She managed to take down giants before, and could do so again!

Day of the match...and the time for the main event came shortly after the match announcement for Clara, who stood in the gorilla position her new attire - yellow leotard with a black top. She was worried for the crowd reaction. She had a fair few matches during her hiatus, and the reaction for her was still positive...but it could quickly turn sour. Wrestling fans disliked anyone who wasn't treating wrestling seriously. She was off of social media for the last few months, so the general opinions from the fandom was a mystery to her.

There was no time like the present to find out though, and, with the technicians putting her song on and giving her 10 seconds to her entrance, she took a deep breath, steeled her nerves, and exited the curtain with a smile.(edited)

The arena packed a good 1000 people in it, with all of them reacting positively to the Shadow Lord arriving back to the Squared Circle, Clara keeping her smile on her face as she made her way down to the ring, clapping hands with all the fans at ring side, before sliding into the ring with her arm pumped up in the air. Despite not wrestling, good diet and regular gym sessions did not stop for her, so the raven-haired Brit was in as great a shape as she could be.

She took her position at the upper right corner of the ring from the entrance ramp, waiting for Eclaire to make her way to the ring...

Speakers? Turned up to eleven. Pyrotechnics? Burning blazing hot. Spotlight? Soon to be shining down on the biggest main attraction the world would ever see! Eclaire made sure to have nothing less than Maître style perfection for any grand entrance she would make, and today was no different! Especially since the suits at LAW had booked her against another veteran from the company, albeit one who reportedly been on hiatus from wrestling for some time. Nonetheless, Eclaire was nothing short of elated to have the pit against the ever famous Shadow Lord; to say Eclaire was letting this matchup stroke her galaxy-sized ego was likely a tad bit of an understatement.

As she took her first steps onto the ramp, her theme blaring through the booming speakers and her name shining on the jumbotron, Eclaire practically danced to the ring with the utmost grace. There it was, the feeling that gave her life: hundreds of eyes gazing ever so intently at her with pure admiration brimming from each and every pair. Magnifique. Whether it be in the ring of champions or the grand lobby of her hotels, Eclaire would never get tired of drawing the attention of each and every darling person she passed by with her stunning style!

Granted this bathing in the cheers did end up in her taking more than a little extra time to properly get into the ring itself, but she took her place in the bottom left corner all the same. When the kisses and waves to the adoring patrons finally stopped, Eclaire directed her now undivided attention to the Brit she was soon to collide with. The size difference was a tad jarring as Eclaire had to actively look down to keep GASTER in her sights, but that was a factor Eclaire refused to let distract her. Instead opting to grab the tips of her sparkling violet leotard's frills, and show her opponent the proper respect with a curtsey and a heartfelt smile.

"It's charming to finally meet you in person, darling Shadow Lord! I must say I love your moniker! VERY grandiose!"

Clara looked at the big beautiful Frenchwoman as she made her way down the entrance ramp. Her cheeks flushed as she realized she was ogling the Wrestler-Tycoon extraordinaire as she made her way down the ramp. She really lived up to her reputation already, the Brit feeling the stunning, regal aura around Eclaire from her first step onto the entrance ramp. Her beautiful attire was helping the matters a ton in that regard.

As the Ruby Tycoon addressed her in an incredibly polite way, Clara gave a friendly smile and bow back: "Thank you. Have to say, I was more than looking forward to meeting you in the ring tonight. From your past matches...and from your beautiful and powerful looks alone, I can tell you are a powerful wrestler. Not that that's gonna stop me from twisting you into a pretzel!", Clara confidently told Eclaire, as she stood ready for the bell to ring...

To say that Eclaire was reveling in the praise was quite an understatement. The Brit's words fed the insatiable ego quite well; Eclaire instinctively found herself swinging her hips about and flexing as if to show that such lovely descriptive terms were made for her. However, much to Eclaire's dismay and disappointment, the sweet song of accolades was overpowered by the ringing of the bell. The Ruby Tycoon pouted for but a moment, still eager to hear what other honors Clara would rain upon her, but braced herself soon after to prevent any would-be unbecoming behavior.

With a wink and a smile, Eclaire twirled twice over to the adorable lightweight. The first spin was dainty, graceful, and with both arms tucked in. More of a pirouette than anything else, or comparable to a ballroom dance straight out of a pretentious gala. The second began with one of the Sweet Elite's world-class arms outstretched and came at a terrifying speed! Going from dancing to dangerous discus chop, which Eclaire would try and aim straight away at Clara's head!

With the match underway, Clara tried to slowly close the distance to Eclaire...only for the heavyweight to quickly close the distance to her with spins, the Brit not knowing what to expect.

The moment she tried to shift to one side, or another, Eclaire followed her, as she grew terrified of what her foe had in mind for her...

...until her arm finally connected with her face for a powerful Discus Clothesline!

"AAAAUGH!!!", she cried out as she flipped in midair, dropping onto her front on the canvas!

Eclaire faced practically no resistance as her strike followed through, much to her satisfaction! There was nothing quite like watching somebody flip from such a beautiful blow after all. For a moment a single hand slipped under her chin and to nobody's surprise what followed was, "Ooohohoho!"

While she would have loved to ponder how to follow up to best set the crowd ablaze with cheer, Eclaire wouldn't try and risk giving the lightweight anytime to recover. Once she had her laugh Eclaire began to reach down with arms outstretched. Her targets? Clara's arms with the full intent of trying to cross them over. If Eclaire would find no resistance, she aimed to use those arms as leverage and get the Brit off the canvas with a Straight Jacket Suplex!

Clara was in no shape to get up after the vicious Discus Clothesline, her eyes glazed over from the hard shot to her head. This gave her rival plenty of time to laugh her signature laugh, and do a follow up attack.

She was forced back on her feet by her arms, crossed over in a Straight Jacket position. Right as Clara got a semblance of consciousness back, she was flying through the air, before her neck and shoulders impacted the mat hard!

"MMMMGGGH!!!"

Shoulders on the mat? Check. Brutal impact with enough force to stun a rhino? Check. Giving up the possible pin because a quick victory is a boring one despite the literal screaming from her staff? Check. There wasn't even enough time for the ref to loosen up her lips for a "one" by the time Eclaire loosened up, rolled up, and got up.

Eclaire prided herself on being a showwoman, and what one worth her salt would end a match so quickly? Decisive or otherwise this display needed something more to really bring the glamour and charm! And that something couldn't be found without a lovely assistant! Fortunately, there was one lying beside the tycoon primed and ready! All GASTER would need is a helping hand up! Maybe not a willing one, but any lack of resistance would be a key indicator she was ready to be jerked and spun about with a dizzying Irish Whip! The opposing ropes would be her destination if it all played out!

Clara was dazed but not out just yet! She had enough energy to kick out if Eclaire went for a pin...at least, she told herself as she was released...

The blonde wouldn't have Clara waiting for too long, however, as with a single motion, she got Clara back to her feet, and had the Brit rush for the ropes!

She hit the ropes with her back, trying to focus to where she thought Eclaire was to try and nail her with a clothesline!

An irish whip into a clothesline. How classic! How quaint! How horribly dull. The last thing on the tycoon's mind was repurposing such a tired old combo into her fantastically flashy flair filled fight! No, she had something with far more spectacle in mind!

Her feet remained firmly planted with no hint of wishing to meet Clara halfway. Arms not reeling back to swing, but spread as if to welcome her masked darling with a warm embrace once she reached arm's reach! "Running back so soon darling? Ooohohohohoho!" If GASTER didn't deviate from her path, Eclaire would not just welcome her with a firm grip around the waist, but a full on hoist and toss into the air! Letting the delightfully devilish Shadow Lord free fall back down with a firm, flexing, fierce bicep lunging up to meet her face!
