Rain Dance: Larum Douglas vs Alex Drizzle

Larum Douglas was waiting backstage for her second career fight in LAW. She was just as excited as before, but she was a lot calmer. A lot less jumpy. It's a lot easier to enjoy it this time around, she thought. Last time, all I really felt was that 'Oh my God, oh my God!' kinda feeling. Now I can really take it in.

"Introducing first, from Florence, Italy. Standing at 4 feet 11 inches, and 92 pounds... LARUM DOUGLAS"

Larum burst out from backstage as her music played throughout the arena. Spinning and jumping down towards the stage as she waved and twirled her pink sash along with her body with the technique and practice of an expert dancer. She then wrapped her sash back around her shoulders once she finished her dance and reached the ring.

Slipping between that ropes and heading into her corner with a final twirl and wave to the crowd, now came the wait for her opponent.

It was yet another opportunity to shine for Alex, she hadn't done so well in her last few matches, but she still was optimistic about her chances, she was certain things would go her way this time against a relatively new face to LAW.

Alex's theme played, and water shot up from the Ramp as if it was pyro fountain, which the cool queen would walk through to make her appearance, getting slightly damp but moving fast enough that it wouldn't be much of an issue. The cool queen had a pink sash round her neck, and continued with some general theatrics and crowd pandering before entering the ring, just doing whatever came to mind, which was mostly just gestures.

Alex entered the ring and addressed her opponent. " Hey Nice to meet you, I'm... " Alex noticed the pink sash on the woman, and there was slight falter in her smirk as she paused for a second.

" Alex Drizzle" the cool queen concluded, as she started to feel embarrassed about the sash. Alex felt like she seemed unoriginal now, it felt like she had went out with someone and ended up wearing the same thing. For Alex the sash was a new thing she was gonna start doing, but now it already felt worn it, and she couldn't really ask her opponent to get rid of it without seeming petty.

Alex was distracted for a moment, before just shaking her head to break the distraction and offer her hand for a handshake, smiling at the other woman, who she had only just noticed was much shorter than herself.

Once Larum was finished with her introduction, she waited to see what her opponent would have in store for her own. She was met with fountains of water shooting up into the air, coming down to create a misty curtain of water which her opponent appeared through. Larum thought it was nice, and figured it was only natural for a wrestler with "Drizzle" in their name to use water one way or another.

As the now slightly damp Alex made her way to the ring, Larum was able to get a closer look at her. She was a good bit larger than Larum, clearly a lot closer to the lightweight limit than herself. She was also quite pretty, and seem to wear a lot of blue. In fact, the only part of Alex's outfit that wasn't blue was a pink sash that matched Larum's own.

Once Alex entered the ring and greeted Larum, the dancer saw that she had noticed Larum's sash. Alex looked a little thrown off, but it didn't seem to bother her too much. But the sashes weren't what was important. After all, this wasn't the type of match where she could have used it as weapon or anything. It would just be something extra for Alex to grab onto. So Larum left her sash in the corner as she went out to accept Alex's handshake.

"Larum Douglas, nice to meet you, she said, introducing herself. "I like the sash," she said with a grin.

Alex didn't remove her sash, it was cool so she could deal with it potentially being another thing for her opponent to grab.

" Thanks. Likewise, I'm Alex " the bluenette said, shaking hands before chuckling at her comment about the sash.

" Yeah, it's cool right? " the cool queen said, before going back to her corner to wait for the bell to ring. Alex was eager to show of her skills. Once the bell rang the cool queen would quickly jog to the middle of the ring to try to claim that distance for herself, while holding out her arms in front of her, ready to grab!

" I'm gonna show you lots of sick things, Larum " Alex said confidently and energetically.

Larum was happy that she and Alex had gotten off on the right foot. Fighting with hate or anger was always a lot less fun than fighting with excitement in your heart. And excitement was just what Larum felt when the bell rung. Alex came out aggressively, looking to Larum like she wanted a test of strength to open the match with.

"Well I'll see if I can't show you something myself!" A test of strength was not something Larum was well suited to. She could push hard with her legs, but pushing with her arms was a very different matter. Especially against a larger opponent like Alex. So instead Larum would open with a kick aimed right under Alex's chest.

The kick connected, but that wouldn't turn out to be a very good thing for Larum. After hitting, Alex's hands closed around her leg and grabbed it. "Ah!" Larum yelped as she hopped on one foot. As a trained dancer, she could balance on one leg in her sleep, but Alex may very well have other ideas.

Alex drew close to larum to start the match, ready to force a grapple, both arms ready to grab. The cool queen hadn't expected her opponent to open with such a high kick, her eyes flashed shut as she instinctively moved her head back, moving her arms to try to block the attack.

" Aghh! " she groaned, opening her eyes and trying to at least close her arms around that leg to hold it in place. The pain in her chest was there, and already made her nearly want to tear up, but the cool queen endured knowing that this position could be good for her.

" G-got you. " Alex bluffed, as she smirked. The bluenette took a moment to think of an attack, this wasn't exactly a position she often got in. The bluenette's eyes lit up as she got an idea, trying to let go of the leg suddenly and stumble forward into Larum, colliding with her awkwardly before trying to tightly wrap her arms around the other wrestler.

Alex would then try to squeeze and lift Larum, before slamming her into the canvas with a belly to belly suplex if she had no counter.

Larum really didn't know what she was supposed to do in her current position. Her leg was extended out and stuck in her opponent's arms. Alex certainly did give Larum a moment to try to think of something, but the dancer only came up blank as Alex finally started to go on the attack to capitalize on her position.

Alex released Larum's leg and came forward into the orange haired girl. Normally Larum would try to keep such as basic frontal attack at bay with her legs, but with one leg badly out of position, and the other being the only thing keeping Larum standing, her options were severely limited. Especially considering that Larum was much worse with her arms than her legs.

So Alex succeeded in practically falling on top of the smaller Larum and wrapping her up. "Ah!" Larum squeaked out when Alex started squeezing her, pressing their chests and bellies together. She wouldn't have to endure that for long however, as Alex soon suplexed her backwards onto the mat. Larum tried to get up and away as swiftly as she could after landing on the mat, but Alex would certainly still have time to continue pressing her attack.

Alex felt satisfied after her suplex, grinning wide and nodding at herself for a move well done. The bluenette stood up and turned around, to see her speedy little opponent already getting up. Alex abruptly continued her pursuit, adjusting her pace greatly. Larum seemed to still be recovering, so Alex threw caution to the wind, as she broke into a reckless chase.

" Hey! Don't get up so quickly. " Alex yelled, while rushing forward in a sprint with the intention of leaping into the air, kick her feet, and landing a running drop kick. Hopefully the cool queen hit her target, otherwise she'd have a rather sore and undignified landing with nothing to show for it.

The cool queen still had more moves to show off, so she was determined to keep Larum down.

Larum wanted badly to get up and away from Alex. She did not want to be stuck on the ground with her opponents, it was when the dancer was at her most vulnerable to attacks that could be potentially devastating for her to get hit by. But Alex didn't want to let Larum get up. The dancer was faster, but Alex had gone all in to chase her down. And she gambled right, as Larum was in no position to counterattack.

"GAH!" Larum cried out as Alex's dropkick sent her crashing back down to the floor. The dancer grimaced as she clutched her chest in pain from the impact. This time, her attempt to get back to her feet would be much slower, which Larum could only assume meant more trouble for her. This could spiral quickly if Alex capitalized properly.
