I think it's no secret that I've put a lot of work into trying to do what I can to help LAW and our community succeed. Many people are aware of how taxing the work I put into this site as a whole is. At the end of the day, it's each and every one of you that contributing to this community that are helping it become a success and continue to prosper. And I'm forever thankful for that.
Though on my end, from the beginning, it's always been a lot of work. I made everything by myself and did my level best to try to and make decisions with you guys, for you guys. To be the people's admin, so to speak. While I hope I've done a good job of servicing you all, I think it's finally come to the point where I need help if I want to continue keeping things in ship shape. Bearing this in mind, I present to you your new moderators: Vcom7418 and RJD.
I promise I'll still be reachable and approachable whenever I can be. But during times where things get busy for me irl or in general whenever work on this site and sorting out community issues is consuming me, I'd like to be able to rely on them for help. Please approach those two with any issues or concerns you have the same way you'd approach me.
I already know that there will be some immediate questions and concerns about this decision on my part. I'll try to answer them below.
Q: Why do you need two mods?
A: Because I'm that overworked being the one and only admin/mod on LAW. Legit
Q: I had asked about being a mod and you didn't pick me? Why?
A: I had contemplated my choices for moderators for a very long time. Believe me when I say that I considered nearly everyone, those who approached me about wanting it and those who didn't. It was a very hard decision to make but I now feel ready to make it. And I feel that RJD and Vcom are the ones most qualified for the job. This isn't to say that it's permanent. Maybe they'll decide it's too much work and turn it down. Anything can happen. At any rate, please try not to feel offended if you weren't selected and wanted the position. Many of the same people who told me they wanted to be moderators complained to me that I rely too much on democracy. On letting everyone have a say. This is me making a decision as the admin. I ask that you please support my decision on this.
Q: Can I still contact you about stuff, winner?
A: Yes you can. I'm down to chat or help whenever I'm available. But I ask that you also consider contacting your moderators and helping them share to some of the workload that I currently deal with.
If you have other questions, please specify below. While I have your attention here, I wanted to make two sort of sub-announcements. The first is that we currently have 8 PPV matches on the card. I feel like that should be the cap. If you have a ppv match you really really wanna do that you feel confident about, let me know and I'll see if I can make an exception. Please don't forget that there are still 3 slots available for non-match segments (promos, etc).
Secondly, if you'd like to block messages from a user, please be aware that you can go to your pm's and select the "rules" option to make a rule to automatically delete pm's from a specific user. In addition, other blocking options include the foe's list.
