Early Life
Skylar Jones was born to a teen mother in the small town of Perry, Iowa. Growing up on the wrong side of town, Jones spent her childhood living in an apartment, full of who she describes as "the worst kind of people". The stench of cigarette smoke and muffled shouting matches between housemates infested the walls of her childhood home to this day.She found little refuge in school, where she is said to have been ostracized by her peers, and treated poorly by her teachers. Jones tells LAW Magazine that she got into many fights when she was younger, boasting that she won many of them. She never ended up graduating from Perry's High School, as she was expelled following the latest in her series of violent outbursts, bloodying three classmates, one of which was sent to the hospital for her injuries. When questioned about this by interviewers, Jones claimed that the girls had been bullying her friend for some time, and expressed no remorse for her actions.
Iowa Independent Wrestling Association
Following her expulsion, Jones was left unsure of what to do with her time. Though this wasn't a problem for long, and her destiny would soon become clear, as a show put on by the IIWA (Iowa Independent Wrestling Association) was hosted in Perry's rec center. Jones told LAW Magazine that she'd always gotten a "certain thrill" from fighting, and decided to give professional wrestling a shot. Talking to some folks backstage, she was able to look into joining the company's roster, and was booked for a show a few weeks after. Though her debut ended in defeat, she made a memorable first impression on wrestling audiences, many interested in what the sixteen year old Puppet had in store.Skylar Jones in IIWA. 2018.
Despite her young age and lack of formal training, Jones made waves across the indie circuit in the following two years, becoming somewhat of a feared force of nature, though her reputation then is nothing compared to the one she carries now. Shortly after she'd turned eight-teen, she decided to indulge her interest in the more erotic side of professional wrestling.
The Sex Wrestling Federation
The Sex Wrestling Federation, or the SWF for short, is one of the most controversial and popular wrestling promotions in the West. It's often credited with the popularization of sex fighting / hentai wrestling. Shortly after she'd met the minimum age requirement, news spread of the indie star signing a contract with the federation, marking the beginning of her love of erotic wrestling, something she's become somewhat synonymous with today.Skylar Jones in SWF. 2020.
During her tenure with SWF, Jones became a break out star in the world of erotic wrestling, audiences loving the way she pummeled her opponents before having way with their bruised bodies. It was during this time that she sparked many memorable rivalries with the likes of Dana Welsh, Bea Thompson, and Julia Ryan. While a great deal of fame was gained here, the brawler would soon find even greater success.
LAW
And now we've come full circle. Roughly a year after signing to SWF, Jones' exclusive contract expired, making her a free agent. While she originally intended to renew her SWF contract, an unexpected opportunity came knocking at her door. LAW, a gigantic wrestling federation overseas had offered her a contract, and after taking a couple months to consider it, Jones decided that she simply couldn't say no.And there you have it, folks.
