Ryu Hiroshi vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines Part 4: Submission Match

Alaina was ready for her 4th match in three days, as their falls count anywhere happened yesterday after Ryu won their cage match. Alaina won the backstage battle after Ryu challenged her on the spot giving Alaina a 2-1 lead in their series of five matches in five days... which now was five matches in four days. The 46 year old muscular wrestler was starting to feel the wear and tear of this and knew she had to be smart and catch Ryu while conserving herself because the finale tomorrow was an I Quit match.

Clad in a one piece leopard print attire this evening Alaina was ready for this. Since her submission loss to Kat a couple years ago the amazon had really upped her game in terms of technique and submissions. Alaina was feeling closer to being back in her prime form, and she was ready to show the world she was the best woman to set foot in a ring. She wanted gold again and on a roster like this holding a title at her age really said something. As her music began to play Alaina emerged out in the arena, smiling and waving to the crowd before stopping at the top of the ramp, striking a few poses to show off her powerful frame. As Alaina made her way to the ring she high fived fans on each side of the ramp, bounding down towards the ring.

The amazon climbed up onto the apron then through the ropes before standing tall and holding her arms out to bask in the loud cheers of the crowd. She was confident she would end tonight up 3-1, winning the challenge regardless of the outcome of the final match... but winning 4-1 against a statuesque muscular young male powerhouse would really make a statement! Alaina couldn't get ahead of herself though. Tonight was going to be a battle of grappling and technique against one of a very few people in LAW male or female that was slightly stronger than she was.

It was "Day 3" of the special wrestling challenge offered by LAW to the Amazon Alaina Sanders and her opponent The Dragon Ryu Hiroshi. The regular schedule was disrupted to an even more grueling position that the two wrestlers were going to have their 4th wrestling match in a manner of three days. After yesterday's cage match, the two had a brief argument in the locker room which turned physical and ultimately leading to Ryu challenging the Amazon to falls count anywhere match right after the cage match. It was a rough and tough match with the Amazon winning, getting the 2-1 lead against the Dragon.

Now, Ryu was facing a hard task going in this submission match knowing that he was behind once again with the added pressure of this being a must win match for him if he was to tie the series to bring it to 2-2. The toughest match was for last but he would worry about that tomorrow, for now he had to make this woman submit to him. He had a icepack on his shoulder and back, clad in his blue wrestling briefs, fingerless gloves and boots. Once Alaina was out, his theme cued and he made his way to the ring.

The Dragon was all business, he would make his way down to the ring and was focused. He would step up the steel steps and enter the ring, walking up to Alaina to butt heads with her who had switched her attire up for this match. "Lets make a deal....no strikes or slams.....pure grappling and submission. Tonight, I make you tap out" he said.

Alaina saw Ryu come down and smiled. Being up 2-1 felt good and Alaina was confident she could win tonight and take a 3-1 lead also ensuring her win overall in the series... although winning 4-1 would be even better. For now though she was focused on tonight. As Ryu came out and made his proclamation she grinned and nodded as she stood with her hands on her hips. "All grappling all the time? I think I can do that. Try to keep up big guy." Alaina said with a wink.

She strut around him and ran one hand through her hair while flexing her arm, already firing up the crowd as the bell rang. Alaina immediately crouched and circled lunging in to start a grapple! She would try to press but Ryu was one of the few opponents she faced in LAW stronger than she was. She would get pushed back but the amazon tried to transition her grip to side headlock, rolling with his momentum to toss him to the mat for a headlock takedown. She would keep her arm squeezing his head as she tried to open things up in her favor.

Being a must-win for the Dragon, he knew he had to do anything he could to win this match and restricting strikes was a good way to ensure the Amazon's strength in her strikes would be nullified. However, she would be totally fine to that idea and immediately accepted his private challenge as the two glared into each others eyes and stood toe to toe. Alaina would then begin to circle around the male while he stood still, passing her hand through her hair and flexing to fire up the crowd. "Show off" he said with a smirk as they got ready to rumble.

When the bell rang, the two grappled and pushed hard. Alaina was a formidable foe but she was being pushed back until she suddenly broke away from the grapple to trap him in a headlock. "Ah" he gasped before being tossed to the ground with Alaina on top, having him trapped in a grounded headlock. "Arghh couldn't face me head on the grapple so you went for this?" he said to taunt her before looking to arch his legs back to wrap his legs around her neck and attempt to pry her off him with a headscissor takedown!

If that worked he would keep his legs wrapped around her neck and started to squeeze her in a scissors.

Alaina grit her teeth and squeezed the headlock as hard as she could. "Oh it was part of my plan, I knew what you would do...ACK!" Alaina groaned as Ryu surprised her with the powerful head scissor hold! Alaina kicked the mat in pain, using her arms to tug at his legs, trying to pry herself free in vain. She couldn't power her way out so Alaina tired to twist herself while she was stuck hoping to flip herself over and use that momentum as well as changed position to pop her head free all while being in position to get back to her feet before Ryu.

With Ryu trapped in the headlock and being dropped to the mat, Alaina would maintain her position on top and squeeze while in the grounded headlock. However, Ryu managed to curl his legs back and capture her head in between his thighs before using his leg strength to drag her off his body and now have her trapped in a headscissor in front of him. "And where did that lead you to huh?" he said, placing his palms on the mats to elevate himself from a seated position to allow himself to squeeze her even harder.

However, the Amazon managed to twist and turn herself out of the submission to break free. Both of them would get back up on their feet in their neutral position as the male would raise his arms up defensively.

Alaina got back up and saw Ryu was ready, so the amazon waste no time in moving in for a grapple again. She moved in to grab hold of Ryu but she would move her legs in, trying to trip him up with a drop toe hold to send him crashing to the mat on his stomach, the first part of her plan. If she could pull that off she would wrap her legs up in his and reach up to trap an arm while clasping her hands on his chin to try to lock in an STF to put a hurting on the young man!

After breaking away from the submission, Alaina and Ryu both got back up on their feet and locked horns once again but the Amazon proved more tactically aware as she slipped her legs behind his and then ended up tripping him in a drop toe hold, forcing him to smack his face against the mat. "Ah" he cried clutching his face. Before he could roll away, the Amazon would mount his body after trapping his legs with her own and her arm wrapped around his chin, pulling his head back in a STF submission.

"Arrrrrghhhhh!" he cried in pain. Ryu would bring his arms up to grab Alaina's arms, trying to pry them off his chin with raw power as he struggled in the submission and bore the pain.

Alaina put all she had into the hold but Ryu after a while was powering his way out slowly as Alaina gave it her all to keep the hold locked in. She decided to abandon the hold and pull her arms out of his hands hoping to stand up and adjust. She wanted to try to shift from one hold to another, this time attempting to get one leg and pull back, sitting down on the back of Ryu's head to shift into a single leg Boston crab!

Despite her efforts, the Amazon was not able to hold onto the might of the Dragon who struggled harder and harder eventually loosening up the submission hold by grabbing her wrists and prying them off his face. Alaina realizing that it was a lost cause would abandon the hold altogether and get back up on her feet. Not wanting to let him off the hook, she would sit down on the back of his head and grab a leg, pulling it back for a vicious single leg crab.

"Owwwwww" he groaned as his meaty leg was being bent. He would quickly bring his hand back to grab her ankle and yank it to try and bring her down face first.
