Rose was thinking seriously about that hentai tournament, it was about to start, so this fight should be great, and knowing that she would face a boy, Rose was determined not to leave this fight without having given a demonstration of her skills.

It wasn't that he was nervous about losing or winning or even being in such a match with a woman but that he felt he was right at home with the League. He managed to calm himself when he was announced and snickered when he was called the new comer.

The lights were dimmed for his entrance, and when the bass eventually dropped, the lights flickered like lightning as he jumped into the ring, having pulled down one of the ropes to help him over and rolling into a knelt position and rose as the vocals came over and raise his arms up in a V shaped salutation.

After his little theatrics, he bows deeply when standing upright and waving to all. When finally staring at Rose, he smiles warmly as if she was a friend, "I hope you and I can make this an unforgettable match. Though I have doubts in all the stories, I hope you can prove me to be just an inexperienced fighter here. Else you'll have disappointed more than just the crowd." He says to her with a small hint of taunting sass.

Shortly after, he walked over to his corner and awaited to hear any further instructions or rules, and of course the possible banter to come back at him for his own remark.

Rose would finally see how the Arena was preparing for the arrival of his opponent, and when he did, he knew that at least, he would have a good intro for when he had to fight, when he finally arrived, Rose would smile and so the referee would explain the rules, indicating that the winner would be the one who managed to make the other one run first, and so Rose would nod understanding the rules, hoping that the boy would too.

James would nod towards the end of the ref's long winded talks to acknowledge he knew the rules and what not to do. As he had a brief moment before the starting bell, he rolled and loosened his neck and cracked his knuckles and loosened himself out with a bit of a shake out. Stepping out, he walked cautiously and had a stance where he had his arms easily covering his whole torso and seemed to step around with purpose and position awareness. But he wanted to see if his opponent was eager to end the fight first.

Rose would finally hear the bell, with a smile that showed confidence in her, Rose would slowly approach James and raising her hands, she would challenge the boy to a duel of strength, Rose wanted to see if her common technique for such fights was still effective.

James looked closely as Rose put herself up for an arm strength duel, cocking his head to the side like a curious cat but shrugged and stepped up locking fingers with her. But, he was waiting patiently for her to make the push or at least some other move to try to undermine his attention.
His mind raced with all the possibilities and he was clearly watching out for several points that she could strike from, his eyes darting around and looking all over her for any sign of movement first and still looking back up at her to make her know he's still able to duel.

Rose seeing James take up his challenge, she would smile, knowing that now she could see James' strength, but noticing that she would have to be the one to make the first attack, Rose would simply push James down, waiting to see how strong the boy was.

As he felt Rose finally put down some pressure, he put in enough to match her and keep them at the neutral start when they locked. Having completed his own assessment of the possibilites, James put in his total focus on her now and softly smiled like her. Though he kept only enough strength to match hers, not letting her feel him out in total.

Rose could notice that little by little her efforts had stopped, James put enough strength to equalize the situation, leaving them both in the starting position, Rose would smile for that, at least he wouldn't be a simple weakling, so then Rose would change strategy, and start using her feet to try to push James into the corner, where her reliable skills would be of much help.

James stepped back nearly three whole times but it was the third that was the last step he was forced to take as he properly put his feet down into a position where Rose couldn't step forward without opening herself to being tripped up, and was now reinforced by his lower body strength which was far greater than his upper body.

Stomping into position he now slowly added little by little his own force to now force her into the testing stage of the duel. "I appreciate the work out on my stances and upper body... but I can't just be a nice guy and roll over for just anyone."
