Ember Days vs Achilles - Standard Match

The clock had struck chaos and the guitar riff played to the tune of Ember Days. Fresh, zealous and eager, the young American spitfire burst onto the scene, greeted by the rows of attendance. She took towards the rampway, where she stopped to hop on one foot, the lifted leg kicking her back heel. She pointed towards the ring, eyes narrowed and her grin. Both feet stomped three times, echoed a song of boots against steel before she blitzed the rampway full speed.

Just one foot from the apron, her legs coiled, muscles tensed and exploded into a leap. Her fingers coiled around the middle rope and pulled, the balls of her feet nestled sound against the apron’s lip. The top was tucked underneath her armpit, then she strode the edge and beckoned the crowd’s roar with her arm.

“Come onnnn!” An upward swipe was replied with a brief torrent of cheer, subsided when Ember settled both hands upon the top, leaned back and vaulted over the ropes. She landed clean and bounced on the canvas, brushed a hand through her scarlet hair and hastily occupied her corner, where she lounged her arms across the top, crossed one leg over the other and nestled into the turnbuckle.

The heavy strums of the guitar blared through the ring, marking the appearance and debut of the American wrestler who appeared through curtains with a focus equal to that of his opponent, Ember Days.

Achilles received his share of cheers as he sauntered to the ring. Though his intensity was more subdued, it was still keenly felt within the arena and the crowd could instantly tell that there was a hard hitting contest to come from this these two as Achilles stopped just inches from the ring. Slapping his cheeks in a final attempt to hype himself up, Achilles climbed the apron and stepped into the ring proper -- extending his arms as he roared to the hard camera and the crowd reciprocating his excitement. With his postering done, he walked to his corner and started to roll his wrists as he waited for the bell to ring.

Once both competitors rallied to their corners, the subsequent seconds saw a trade of cheers; one for the rowdy Ember Days then traded for the stoic Achilles. His size eclipsed her own. A muscle stature that could swallow her whole, not even husky like a bear but a chiselled Greek statue. Heesh. Talk about easy on the eyes.

She continued to lounge as he joined her, greeting him with a mock salute and peppy grin. And once the bell rang, she skipped forward from her corner in two strides before she shifted one leg back, then outstretched her closed fist.

"Nooooot much of a talker, are ya, big fella? Could I at least have some spice before we have our go? Just one fist bump!"

Achilles smirked at the jest.

"We can talk after the match. I'm here to do business." Despite the curtness of the reply, Achilles did obliged to the fist bump as a sign of respect, showing that he wasn't as callous as he sounded.

Once the bell rang, Achilles slapped his biceps in a manner to hype himself up and started to circle around Ember to size her up. He held the clear height advantage, but he knew better than to underestimate his opponents due to size alone. His fingers twitched with anticipation as he lurched forwards, looking to take Ember down to the mat.

Lips pursed at the response,

〝Wow-ya. Understood, yeah.〞

Her fingers splayed when the knuckles met, wagged, and her arm went skyward and twinkled down towards her side; lips mimicked an explosion sound.

〝Booom—!〞The bells sung, 〝Alright. Bizz-time.〞

She cracked her neck both ways and hopped on foot, and matched his circle to secure her flanks. Tall and muscular was the combo that stared her down; a trophy-game that would be marvellous to slam. Such a question loomed like swirling fish, a giddy sense that bubbled inside her knees and added a skip and unnecessary spin. Knees bent and a hand extended, prepped for defence and a probe into his intentions that shot forward. A shoulder buried itself and threatened to bisect her. Her feet lifted as if gravity collapsed, then surged time ten’s the earth’s average where she smacked the canvas flush, Achilles on top. The whiplash sniped her neck; her head’s rear spanking the mats within a sea of scarlet tress, garnering a groan and a moment of limp, both arms splayed until they corralled. One tried to secure his head and push it down towards her body whilst her second tried to hook one of his biceps. And in the simultaneous course, her legs whipped and sought to envelop his waist, and lock ankle to ankle.

Achilles succeeding in bring Ember down to the mat, with him mounted on top. The sensation of her legs wrapping around his waist was felt immediately and so began the dance for dominance. One hand was pushing his head down, the other trying to hook his arm -- Achilles managed to free the arm that got hooked and slammed several blows into Ember's ribs to try and soften her up early on so he could begin working towards a submission. With any luck, the legs would also release their vice on his waist.

Canvas-bound and pinned by sheer weight. Such was a mismatch.

Limbs coiled around his waist; another hooked a burly arm while a third buried into golden and raven locks. She tightened each front to better secure this momentum; toes kissed each ankle levied for a better squeeze; fingers curled to dig the scalp; her arm snaked so her fist kissed her shoulder. It didn’t matter once his arm wound free and hammered her ribs. An explosion of pain turned into a yelp, and both arms moved to guard what felt like a bludgeoning hammer. “G-GEK!” Her breath rattled to match her jumped heart rate. And her legs unfurled, knees pulled up, and feet wedged themselves against his waist for a push.

The counter offensive work and Ember moved to the defense. With her legs positioned to push him off, Achilles would then show why he was so dangerous as he quickly looked to wrap his arms around a leg and lock in an achilles tendon hold.

Pain throttled her tendon, an unstoppable sting that surged like a stab wound that choked deeper by the second. His foot pinned itself into her abdomen, dug into her toned stomach, and forced a grunt. Eyes and teeth clenched into iron gates, lips curled inward as air balled inside her cheeks.

“The fuck…. man… What is this B..J..Ja-Bullshit?!” She said in one swift breath, head shook as she sputtered out the words. Faster and faster, she breathed. Harder and harder, the tightness gripped her chest. Adrenaline surged through the hot-blooded redhead. Rage filled the hands that reached to grab his foot and pull his boot over the trapped leg, where her own would fold leg could fold over his foot. She did her best to push her toes up, a mere instinct to relieve the pressure.

Clouds settled over her mind, fuzzy nausea that primed her into auto-pilot. An itch quivered her hand and balled to a white-knuckle fist. Now… It was Ember’s turn. Without that foot against her gut, it allowed her to sit up, cock an arm across her chest and whip a knife-edge chop at his bare chest.

Achilles torqued the leg as much as he could, looking to weaken his opponent from the get go and maybe even get a tap out win from the out set. He soon learn of Ember's tenacity as she was able to reposition his foot from her abdomen and allowed her to sit up. Next thing he knew, Achilles felt a loud smack followed by a sharp pain as Ember struck him with an knife-edge chop across the chest. Obligatory WOO chants soon followed and Achilles had to sharply inhale to fight through the pain while still keeping the submission on.
